Guesthouse located in an atoll atypical, and for this wonderful, in contact with the local population, friendly and welcoming. A beach bikini beach is simply fantastic with a part of the barrier reef where you can swim with the many tropical fish and sea turtles. The guesthouse has large and clean rooms with showers, a view of the sky to be able to fully enjoy the sky of an ordinary maldivian. The owners are absolutely wonderful and ready to accommodate the requests of their guests and ensure that your holiday is magical and memorable.

I'm from India and was a little skeptical about this place, but this has proven to be the best thing I've done! The people managing the hotel are genuine, nice, helpful and resourceful. They deserve all the good praise they are receiving in the reviews. They will genuinely help and accomodate every need. They gave us a free cake and a beautiful candle light dinner on the beach. The rooms are clean for a beach resort, well maintained, comfortable and discrete. The cottage itself is quite well maintained. Food was always fresh and well prepared. There's not much variety, but you'll not be bored because the host will prepare things for you. Cycle and snorkeling equipment is free to use, just use them carefully. Water was free and plentiful. The island itself is beautiful, memorable and does not get boring even after spending 5-6 days. The people are friendly and welcoming. They have a school and few small restaurants you'll want to try. No one will harass you by selling their stuff. It's laid back as you want any tourist place to be. The cottage is at approx centre of the island, but the beach is easily approachable by cycle or walk. It has a private beach just for the tourist where you can spend your days without any interruptions, just pack your lunch to go swimming or snorkeling. The shop for scuba is right in front of the cottage. The services are expensive as are many things in Maldives and the aquatic life is dwindling, but it is great activity.

Excellent. Great value for money. Alì and Ramis always available and very kind. Suitable for couples and families with children. The best guesthouse on the island. Absolutely recommended.

My mom and I stayed at the Holiday Cottage for two nights and cannot recommend it highly enough. The team of brothers who own the place arranged for our transport to and from Thoddoo by speedboat, being sure to communicate with our hotel on Male and getting us back to the airport on time for our outgoing flight. They had fresh coconut water and papaya waiting for us on arrival and walked us to the tourist beach the first day after giving us snorkeling equipment to borrow. Their attention to detail and hospitality is beyond belief from flowers on the bed at arrival to a new bottle of water and beach towels each day to providing tea or coffee midday at request. The beds are very comfortable and the outdoor bathroom and shower were also great to experience. We dined in at the guesthouse for all of our meals and the food was delicious, especially the tuna pancake for breakfast and the fish curry! The guesthouse provides the opportunity to take excursions or do other activities to keep you busy. Since our stay was short, we chose to do the agricultural tour one evening and really enjoyed it. Two of the brothers had us hop on the back of their mopeds and they zipped us around the island to check out their family farming plots. We learned so much about the Maldivian people and their farming industry — definitely recommend spending the time to do this tour if you stay here! Outside of Holiday Cottage, Thoddoo is a great place to visit.

Best vacation ever! We stayed in Holiday Cottage in Thoddoo for 10 nights and to be honest it was the best vacation for us even though the speedboat transfer at the beginning was rough due to the high waves but we managed it. Great communication before and during our stay. The staff is very friendly, smiling, helpful and able to comply with customer's requests.
In terms of accommodation the rooms are clean, comfortable and with the open-air shower. The towels are changed on daily basis.
The food is great as well and you can choose from a pretty wide food variety.
In terms of beaches the island itself consists of local and bikini beach and from guesthouse it's the closest way to bikini beach (ca 10min)

We stayed here for 8 nights and enjoyed it a lot. The rooms are clean and modern, bed is comfortable. Food was really good and the team was friendly and helpful. I recommend booking the place directly and not via Airbnb or booking in order to get the best rates. We paid 65$ per night including breakfast and amazing dinner every evening. For 35$ per direction we were picked up from the airport in male and transported to the island where Ali, the manager, waited for us. They have masks, snorkels and fins for free to go snorkeling in the rig. This place is the nearest to the guest beach from all other B&Bs on the island. I hope to come back one day!

Holiday Cottage… our favorite place! We were so happy there! At Holiday cottage they treat you like royals! They make sure you have everything you need and much more! All of your wishes come true there! You really become friends with them! The people are so amazing… sweet and helpful. Ali, Shiham, Ibrahim and all of the brothers :D You made our stay so enjoyable and memorable with all of the surprises and your irreproachable attitude! We are so thankful! Words can't express it… now I just need a coconut :D.

Place has private beach close to it, just a min walkable so can go very quickly. Service is d best part of it. U will be treated greatly. Food is also good. Can order whatever we want.

Nice staff and super fair prices for the money. The beach nearby is excellent (safe, calm, white and great for children to play). Best beach we have experienced in the maledives. Noboday wants to sell you anything and you find plenty of big turtles in the housereef nearby. Paired with the hotel you will have a great time.

An amazing experience, a wonderful cottage, the nearest at the beach, Alì and staff always gentle and kind. The excursion was incredible, the food very tasty with delivery service at the beach! :-) we saw manta ray, shark, turtle, dolphins and many many fishes! I recommend this place to everyone who want to live the real maldivian life with incredible people. I've found a new brother! Alì e lo staff sempre presenti e gentili. Escursioni bellissime e rilassanti, il cibo in cottage buono e la possibilità di scegliere tra pollo o pesce e verdure.
Pranzo portato sotto le palme a spiaggia! Abbiamo nuotato con manta ray, tartarughe, squali, razze, delfini e tantissimi altri pesci!

Awesome place to spend leisure time, great hospitality, u can eat whatever u wish, nice n clean beach.

The owner and the management takes really good care of their guests and treat us as friends. From the moment we landed from the airport, to the trip in Male and Vilingili islands to Thoddoo, they have the best hospitality service. The beach is about 10 to 15 mins walk but u will have a nice coconut trees and papaya plantation view on the way. The beach is extremely lovely! They have a variety of activities u can choose from and they are flexible and can arrange the activities however u want in a reasonable price. Food is very good, reasonable for a huge quantity. Rooms are clean and spacious and I love the concept of the bathroom with island feel. Overall, we really enjoyed and loved our stay here. We recommend this place to everyone who would like to visit Maldives. We will definitely come back in this place!
