It was hopeless. We all had a long journey that night and arrived early. The only thing we asked was obviously to check in early to use the toilet and get some sleep before our meeting. And guess what their staff had to say. No early check-in is possible. Ok fine. But here we are saying we'll pay for it, to check in early. And he says check-in only possible at 2pm. And when asked if it was fully booked, he answers 'No, there's rooms available'. Okay now you've got my anger aggravated. It's 7am, I just got off a long drive, swaying on the road just so that we could reach the hotel quick and get some sleep and a good shower, and here I've booked my rooms and I'm requesting if an early check in with payment is do-able. All this guy can say is no, no, no. Not even a single 'I will try, my manager is not in'. When we asked for his manager he just brushed the question off. Then I say we just need some help here, do something. But no, he conveniently chooses to do nothing. And so then I call Agoda, where I made this booking. Fenniey our customer service agent was a dear one, she listened to me and what we had to say, plus what we needed and immediately called the hotel to check what was happening. Our friend picked up, spoke while I was on hold as well with Agoda and then tells Agoda he could now do an early check in at 10am, the earliest. You for real? You couldn't manage that when we asked you earlier? By this time, I no longer wanted to stay in this hiring-inconsiderate-staff hotel. I was tired, angry and disappointed. Agoda then allowed us to make another booking (thank you) and we left. I come from the tourism industry as well, you run a hotel, you make sure your staffs have great interpersonal skills and those who can think and know how to treat your customers. I will never consider Hotel Pi Ipoh again.
