I would not even recommend this hotel to anyone. I recently booked a room via Agoda with a check in date on 1st of June. FMCO has been announced by the government and this Hotel management only allow 1 time change of date until 31 July. This is a business purpose booking and it is almost impossible to re-schedule another check-in precisely without knowing the real situation of the MCO. When I asked to talk to management, the manager is said to be on leave for a week and will not entertain me. This is not the way to do business especially during Covid-19. I guarantee this will be my last time dealing with such arrogant service by the hotel. I will also make sure my company will not book such lousy hotel in future.

Nice place to stay. It very near to jalan baru ayya temple.

Customer service very good! clean room, view can see penang bridge, will come again, thanks receptionist (23Aug2020@11pm) dont know his name. Haha.

Want to comment about the restaurant. We waited for an hour, theres 8 of us and we ordered lunch set. And only 4 of us get the food and 3 of us get the drink. After an hour. Cant wait anymore because we have other matters to attend. They insist us to pay for the set price (only 4 of us get the food and 3 of us get the drink so why should we pay for what we didnt get? ). They asked us to wait. Failed. Slow service. The food (chicken) is old stock I think because it taste bad.

We go n see children getting their certificate in music they rent a place in the hotel for the show I think is ok better then you rent an open space in shooping complex busy noisy n no privasy.

Staffs doesn't understand simple English words like thermometer and Wardrobe safe, called reception 3 times to chase their technician to come check the safe which can't lock. Still waiting now…

I came here on business events and saw that this is a 4 star hotel. Hmm idk where does the 4 star comes from. I can only give Max 3 stars. Sorry as I am disappointed. The price of the room seems to bit a bit pricey with the condition. The TV is no good and there's line unable me to watch! How come they give broken TV to customer? The carpet also dirty. I advise they change those carpet that seems to age longer than my pet's life. There's convenient store and it seems their lobby decorations is quite vintage but for me, they should change the fabric of the sofa thou. It's outdated. Only their cafe seems nice. Yeah their electricity seems to be well maintained. Safe and there's also iron and iron board in the room. It's my honest review. I didn't expect much from an old building but I went to a lot old hotel before thou. I breakfast here haha and guess what I think that the chef isn't compatible to be a chef. What the hell is Malaysian cuisine if you can't cook nasi lemak. The sambal isn't cook and taste awful! Even fried dim sum and steam dim sum taste awful, it's not fresh. Oh yeah even the cereal like honey star (not original) one taste awful. The staff aren't friendly and what the does the staff do? Why don't the staff collect the used dining ware? Gosh. Please improve ur staff, smile and greet. Be friendly is it that hard? There's not a lot of people thou. I think this hotel lack of management skills, pity as it is strategic.

A few TV channels problem, bath room light ooo, surau dirty.

Everything that you are looking for in a 3 stars hotel. It's clean and good breakfast spread. Location is good, next to night food market. Will come again for sure.

Old, but looks still nice from outside. Inside lobby smelled poop.

I love the quiet hotel environment. The dinner during Ramadhan month was marvelous.

Rooms at Fajar wing are much contemporary and spacy compared to other older wing.

Place is lonely and a distance away from eating places. Room is leaking when it rains. Service is not satisfactory.

服务差透！！ 房间旧而脏藉！ Bad service,, old and dirty room! I will checkout at 16 April 2018 morning, receiptionist doesnt issue INVOICE or payment receipt for me! They Said computer system problem and promise me email to me by afternoon. One week gone, Everyday I Call up to hotel but havent settle this problem! Just a Simple think, I dont understand why cannot do it.

For those who consider to have function in this hotel, please reconsider. Their Event team, Banquet team and Front desk team don't have proper internal communication and a well flow to serve customers. First time ever heard a hotel manager refused to meet customers & giving ignorance. They requested us to do full payment in cash before our group check in for 20 rooms & pay for their so called "International Buffet" (which was less choices and lousy than the foods nearby the hotel). However, they didn't follow our room arrangement as we came into an agreement when we deal with their manager. This hotel has huge room to improve, especially their internal management problems. Overall Bad services. Rude and untrained management staffs. Foods was terrible. Rooms are old. Definitely will never go back to this hotel anymore. The standard of this hotel do not meet and deserve 3 stars. P/s: First time ever seen such a bad taste hotel hall flowers.

Pearl View Hotel is in Chai Leng Park in the vicinity of Prai, PG it's a Four Star hotel, it is best place away from the hustle & bustle. From the top floor, you can have a beautiful scenic.

The hotel room is quite nice and clean, housekeeping is consistent in terms of quality. There is a free breakfast for 2 at the cafe and the food is mediocre and redundant.

Executive suite room. Stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast bad. Bathroom basic amenities.

The above mentioned had been behaving rudely and disrespecting me by rushing with her conversation and hanging up the phone. As part of the hospitality industry! This is totally wrong for a hotel staff to miss treat a customer. I am extremely upset with the way how your staff handled my case. The management should take action as this will trash your hotels reputation and I may or may not take this case publicly through social media if I don’t get a response from the managing department which is in charge of customer care.

I was suppose to spent 3 nights but after the first night I check out. Wake up in the morning with back pain. The bed was terrible. Aircon was not working. Bathroom was not nice either. First and last time sleeping there.

The rooms in new wing are much better. While the rooms in the old wing are kind of haunted to me. Hmmm.

Not properly managed. My room window leaked after a heavy rain. Aircon wasn't good. Reception was all indons. Would not come again.

Very rundown hotel with complicated layout. Need urgent makeover… The 2 stars are given to the helpful supervisor.

Reasonably priced. Near to Chai Leng Park hawker center and other eateries. The front desk is manned by foreign workers, mostly Indonesians. They are generally ok but I get the feeling that this makes the hotel feel a bit low class. Not meant to be judgemental but thats how I felt. The hotel can get a few locals to do this job. The carpet on the lift landing towars the room entrance stinks. It really gives a bad impression. They should really do something about this. It has been this way for more than a year.

Old hotel with a nice premise. Just lacks management that would make it a class act. Location is good for overnight travel with easy access to the highway or Penang bridge.

Lobby is very spacious, is perfect place for meeting with hotel guess, but a lots of mosquitoes.

Was attending a wedding luncheon which held at the level 7 ballroom. The atmosphere was good dispite that the internal decoration were all aging. Food wise. Most of them are served COLD. Omg. Especially with that fish. Not even a warm plate to keep it warm.

Attended seminar here. Worn out facilities & dusty. Used to be awesome in 1990s but not now.

My room too far away, look like no people around, like ghost town or what else. Service bad and no guide… Far away from town… Service low.

A lot mosquito and a big smelly drain but when in the room u will not smell any of the smell and seeing mosquito around.

Business hotel stategicly locared near the main road. Room quite comfortable for a night stay.

Pathetic breakfast. No channels appear on the TV in rooms. Rooms are cozy though.

The bedsheets is old and dirty. The room from lobby is awfully far. The water tap was loose and need to be fix it. Can heard the noise of water leaking even not using any water. Disappointed and will not coming back again.

Cheap and good. Worth it for money to stay.
The location is near the famous food court in chai Leng park Butterworth.
The breakfast was delicious with many varieties. The lotus spa in the hotel the most famous in penang.

We had a very bad experience from booking to room allocation. RM 157 for nuts. We ask for Super deluxe king and were provided with cheap room worth RM75. Starting with the toilet with Low pressure. Water is rusty. Room is noisy without privacy with China tourist making noise and smoking in the hotel itself. When we came down for breakfast the food is total disappointment, cracked glass not clean food is not good in sense the taste, only the bread was ok because it is instant. Staff do not understand basic English. Communication is not easy. The bedsheet is with stain. God knows what's that. And the worst for big business in the toilet you have tissue, only tissue. I would not recommend a stay for anyone here. For business purpose, the lobby is enough plus no proper Wi-Fi connection. A total waste of money and I will not recommend anyone to book a room here in Pearl View Hotel.

Super n excellent service.

Stayed in room 6105 for a night. Had a nightmare sleeping there. You have cochroches for a company. Bathroom very dirty. Water just trickles. Reception people tidakapa attitude. The hotel from outside looks good. You have to walk miles to reach your room from the reception. Nobody guides you. A good hotel in a good location damaged very badly. Only a plus point is the breakfast. Well served. Never will l stay there again.

Ok for the price. Price include breakfast. But I suggest to skip breakfast as there is plenty of yummy food around.

Must have been a good place once upon a time… As of jan 2016 badly needs motivation and upkeep… Not a very pleasant location as well!

Clean room. Good choices of buffet breakfast. No Wi-Fi in room though.

Wifi is unusable. Receptionist not well versed in English and could not understand my request. Requested for a high floor but gave me a room on the first floor instead. Requested for air port pickup but it never came.

I dislike giving bad comments but I cannot tahan Went there for a good friend's wedding dinner. Pity my friend.
1. No food presentation (apparently there should be)
2. Waiting staff was almost non existent. Like ninja. Even Refil service was bad.
3. Inconsistent in serving the food. First dish was late. One dish waited for almost 30mins. I even witness the kitchen forgot to prepare vegetarian meals (chef says the writing was awful). According to my friend, he says all promises in black and white was not even done properly.

It take tooooo long time to do check in process. Last month I go by company trip n stay there. Staff only start to prepare all d things when we do check in even booking already done earlier. They should prepare all d necessary things in advance (room key, brkfst voucher etc) n not do all tht during chck in time. A lot need to improve.

My last stay I had to stay in a windowless room. Never the less, the bed is fine. The water heater is a bit hard to use though. The bathroom seems substandard. Thank God the breakfast is good!

For those looking for a place to stay in Perai and on a limited budget, head on to Pearl View. Close to town, easy access to rows of shops and cheap (rm125/night w'out breakfast). It may look unpleasant to the eyes on the exterior, but the room's quite comfortable.
