Everything for this hotel is good and perfect. From security guard, front desk until housekeeping, all staff are polite and helpful.
Just feel disappointed for the India staff from
Front desk, very lazy and rude. When we stand at the front desk counter to need some assistance from her. She sit in the office and answer us, and keep chit chat with her India colleagues in the office. When we ask more, she just came to the counter and answer without smile. She won’t say good morning and thanks you. And no smile. Just this little thing make us disappointed. Other staff is very nice, even the security guard is very nice.

Family friendly and nice design. Very bright and clean. Overall very well service given👍🏼 will book again when travel at Penang 😁
The only problem is parking place very limited and parking corner space is a bit small for SUV vehicle. Luckily I’m still able to get a parking 😉😉

Parking bit too little, not enough seat let the customer parking also customers pay their own money to parkking fee, staff too rude customer complaints about how there is no parking, said a bunch of nonsense also said that customers can not come back later.

Higher quality as a hotel compared to those in the area. Clean, thoughful service, great location. Having a car park is already deserving of a star by itself. Lots to see and eat around the area.

Hotel Sunway gave me a very bad impression, please review the problems of your internal staff, and the service you gave and the attitude towards the guests is really bad, you are really not worth it in a four-star hotel, but also wan customers Walking down the parking lot is really ridiculous. The reason is that SOP can only open one door. Am I when I am a foreign tourist? I really haven’t heard the government say that the hotel can only open one door SOP.

Great staff, full of recommendations for the city. Clean, well-kept rooms. And a perfect urban location, right beside one of Penang's finest strips of street-food stalls. That said, some of the best food in Penang is the Sunway breakfast. Go there hungry. You'll want to try everything.

Great location for those who love street food stalls, but people are singing songs till 10pm or later, not suitable for those who sleep early and need absolutely quiet surrounding to sleep.

Great service. Nice and clean room. Their breakfast is good. I like roti canai which serves on Sunday morning.

Although the building itself does not appeal, they have recently did a renovation and the room is pretty new, clean and proper. The location is convenient as it is near to 2 shopping malls and right outside the hotel, there is a night food market. The service by the hotel is good and they respond to our emails/request promptly.

Location is great with its close vicinity to many dining options. Rooms are clean and modern; with the addition of Handy services. Staff there are really friendly and go the distance to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast, although not unique, fulfilled it's purpose and was good enough.

Hotel has been completely refurbished. Very nice. Very good breakfast spread. Plenty of hawker stalls around the hotel.

It's located in city center which is strategy location, near a shopping mall and many restaurant. The lobby is very nice, room also big, nice and clean. The staffs are friendly and happy to answer my questions about tour guide tips. When you step out the hotel, then you see many food stalls, mainly Chinese and Malaysia foods, good price and best taste. In summary, I definitely come back here when I go to Penang.

Very intimate hotel, but also free of charge to provide a mobile phone so that you unlimited calls at home and abroad and unlimited Internet service! Praise!

Very convenient… Amazing street food outside… Staff are courteous and very helpful… Have breakfast their in the morning.

Very bad hotel. My worst hotel stay ever actually. We had a room without solid running water. Water temperature changed from cold to warm, and had a cigarette smell. After informing the staff, the next morning we had a transfer to another room. In the new room, sink was stuck, and no ventilation in bathroom. That's why there is mold growing. We've informed the staff again 2 days in a row, but nothing is happening. When you ask them to call a restaurant to make reservation, they call the number and put the phone in your hand, no service level! Bed is not bad and only good thing is to have a handy, so you can call and internet during your stay unlimited on a smartphone.

The hotel is located right next to the New Lane hawker centre which has plenty of cheap and good food. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, and the staff were mostly friendly too. The buffet breakfast was not bad although I found the selection and variety a little limited. However, the Wednesday night hotpot buffet dinner is a very good deal and very empty, so we were all the focus that night for the staff. Thank you Sunway!

Convenient location, next to push cart stall locations for street food. Pharmacy and shopping centers (a bit old though) nearby. Helpful and pleasant staff. Room and facilities well kept and not run down.

Good service. Comfortable beds. Also had a great selection of different pillow types from memory foam to down feather pillow — which I greatly appreciate. Gym and pools facilities are not luxurious but functional enough.

Don't stay at this hotel, they never acknowledge our comment. Only reply but not in action. Few years back I stayed there, the food awful, no good serive and request king bed they ignore my request. Last year I went same no changes only food option is change better walk few minutes to grab local foods. My friend booked from next month I bet he gonna experience the same. Hope they made good improvement.

High CP Value Hotel, breakfast is rich (the only small disadvantage is less seats, it is best to eat early, the service is in place, and my room type just have to send drinks and bed oversized, toiletries are also used very generous, good enough, and finally free to help me send postcards, really too sweet, In my heart the value of the hotel ranking is definitely the top.

Good, clean, modern hotel. Lots of tourists, but location is hard to beat as it’s v close to new lane hawker street and lots of other food establishments. Walking distance to georgetown world heritage protected zone.

Location is great… as there is street food and there is a 24 hr McDonald nearby. Room is generally clean. Love that there is newspaper daily for individual room. Service is Great, as I requested extra pillow, this is promptly send to our hotel room.

Location is walking distance from shopping malls. Rooms are comfortable and pillows are fantastic. Service is good. Only thing to recommend is to print out the email booking confirmation (esp when using third party websites) for smooth check-in.

Hotel is located in a strategic location. I only have to walk a few steps to the hawker street to enjoy all the hawker food. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The staff service is good and friendly.

Good location with many street food stalls and local biscuit shops very near to the hotel. Hotel room is clean and decently furnished. Comes with complimentary tau sa piah in hotel room too. Room rates are pretty affordable too.

On previous two visits to Penang I stayed around at Batu Ferringhi however this time decided George Town would best suit our plans. We were not disappointed with decision to use Sunway for our accommodation requirements. The room was sufficiently spacious including a Super King bed, clean facilities and a great city view with a mix of temples, churches and Komtar! All staff were pleasant, attentive and willing to assist with all enquiries. From reception and concierge to room service and housekeeping. We absolutely could not fault anyone. Will certainly recommend hotel to fellow Penang travellers. See you on our next visit Sunway! Shout out to Daniel (concierge) who promptly assisted with our spur of moment car hire arrangements.

This hotel located near to town. I able to go town within walking distance. Neat and clean hotel. Every evening, there will group of hawkers stalls open near to hotel area making hotel guests easy to taste the local foods.

Excellent staff, very cooperative and always willing to help and give advice. Check in was smooth and fast, efficient staff indeed. I had booked the deluxe super king room and when wanting to use my laptop, I found the chair wasn't working properly. I called housekeeping and two staff members immediately responded and came to have a look. They were apologetic and in no time had the chair replaced. Given the option to upgrade to club lounge while checking in, I accepted. I must say I loved it. Eizlan, I hope I'm not misspelling his name, was very courteous, polite, friendly and helpful. The snacks and drinks in the lounge were worth every penny I had paid to upgrade. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. I would have appreciated it had there been some cheese. I think I could have requested it, but simply opted not to. The room was very clean, I dare say spotless. It smelled fresh also and that is what I liked the most. There is no bathtub, a small drawback, but you cannot have it all, right? Let me not forget the bed, very comfortable and clean sheets. As for the location, well it's a 3 to 4 minute walk from Times Square, almost right across. It's also a one-minute walk down from the hawkers' stalls, so if you're into street photography, don't miss out. I loved my stay at the hotel and I highly recommend it. For me, it is a strong four stars.

I always stay here when I'm in Penang. Fantastic location, cheap and good massage right opposite the hotel, food street at the end of the lane at night. Walking distance to other good food places. Adequate parking. Rooms are renovated and nice. Skip the hotel breakfast and eat out.

Well located… This luxury hotel has everything to please… well appointed rooms, dedicated and smiling staff, free parking, excellent breakfast buffet, exceptional value for money.

Fair, not great. Small and very basic gym. Location is great though. Parking available.

Clean rooms and courteous staff. Near the heart of George Town with everything walking distance away. New Lane is right beside with hawker food available at night. Only issue is the soundproofing of the windows — it could be we stayed on level 5, so we could hear the screams from children at the pool every morning from level 3. Other than that, it would have been a perfect stay.

Very nice and affordable. Best place to stay if you are a foodie. Starting from a wide healthy spread of breakfast in the hotel and continue with your food adventure within walking distance around the hotel. Shopping? All within walking distance. You will be spoiled for choice.

The service is average. The breakfast is decent. The room size is a little small and so is the lift. There is some sort of a conference area in the basement and parking.

The ballroom or meeting room a bit small, ceiling too low, when doing presentation, audience can't really see from the back. And also blocked by the big pillars in the middle of the room. Food not bad, but not enough space to setup enuf table and seat for 200 people to dine at same time. So if u gonna have a function over there. Pls make sure your number of attendees.

Reasonably priced and clean. I tried sunway and hotel jen, sunway is definitely better. There is also a hawker centre set up every evening just outside.

Newly renovated hotel. Everything is clean and clear. Room is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. Toilet is clean. Good service from all the staff. Good location and surrounded with a lot hawer centers, night market. The is several shopping mall just 5 mins walk.

It's a hotel with a great location if you to sample the street food of Penang. There is a variety of local offerings right outside the hotel. The price though is slightly above average. There's a nice and affordable dim sum restaurant nearby.

Awesome rooms, excellent service and you get room cards. Double rooms were beautiful. Location is very far from airport. Spacious bathrooms, nice entrance. Also has computers for use at entrance. A must visit hotel.
