Had a great stay there the pod is big enough for a single person, was give a free towel and toothbrushe. The toiletries are free and the toilet are clean. Staff was helpful when I wanted to find halal food, staff told me the thing that are around the hotel to keep me entertained. The hotel is located near the bus stop so getting to anywhere is easy.

One of the best places to stay in Penang. You will get all amenities that you need including drinking water, hair drier, iron box, personal care items, … here in private rooms where I stayed. The staff is also very good. Very near to bus station where you can get cheap buses to Airport, ESCAPE, and Penang national park. Variety of cuisines are very accessible from the hotel. Little India is located very near.

The facilities are great, everything is clean and fresh and new and the showers are food and warm. However, staff is completely lacking charisma and interest in their guests. There is no common room so nowhere to hang out since you can't really talk in the dorms. Doors and key cards are faulty, it takes three noisy tries each time to get into your room and if you mess up the door will start sounding like an alarm regardless of what the time is. The lockers are also programmed to make noise whenever you lock and unlock them. Doesn't feel like it's very thought through.

Very cosy and nice. Stayed there with friends for two days. Our containers were next to each other. Very nice to hang out in. Don't stay here if you're claustrophobic.

An aesthetically pleasant place to stay. Good for backpackers travellers since they offered a dorm package where ladies can stay with ladies or if you're comfortable can just mix. There's nothing to view outside so don't expect anything but the interior and exterior is enough for you to take pictures I think?

Just the right size for a solo to small group travelers. Each person has his own bunk with sufficient storage space (individual lockers at the foot of each bunk) for your baggage and what not. Comfy bed, good cooling system, clean and modern toilets with heated showering systems. What more can one ask for from a shoebox-style hotel? Plus they will provide you with a totebag containing a bath towel, toothbrush/paste set and a bottle of mineral water upon checking in. The only downside is when your fellow bunk mates like to hold phone conversations deep into the night, in a foreign language.

Just stayed here for one night and totally enjoyed our stay here with our family. The Container Hotel is a few hundred meters away from the famous walking streets where you can spot famous wall paintings here and there around the hotel. It is suitable and ideal for independent travellers with single or double bed pods. As for families, deluxe rooms or suite rooms are recommended with city view windows and cozy living area. For individual female travelers, there are pods strictly reserved for them. No boys allowed. All rooms and pods plus drawers for storing your backpacks or travel bags/suitcases are accessed by magnetic hotel cards. The hotel features free Wi-Fi, chilled out area with a collection of books to leisurely kill your time while you are on your vacation.

Absolutely loved it. One of the most comfy beds I've been in during my travels so far. The staff is super friendly and the showers are amazing. Definitely recommend!

Great place for budget stay. Can make friends from all over the universe. Who knows! Maybe even aliens stay here.

Standard capsule hotel… Not perfectly quiet due to beeping doors and the metal shipping container walls. Bed was 45rm +12 local tax + 50rm deposit. Wish you didn't need to keep your key in for power because you can't recharge devices while you're gone. No point, it's not like you're gonna leave the AC running or anything.

If you are solo traveler and only have short days for holiday in penang this place is right for you. It's Comfortable and affordable, the location not too far from the Jety terminal.

Overall is a good hotel to stay. Value for money. Good location. However, its lack of room/place to pray for muslim. The nearest will be 2km from the hotel.

The staff are bad attitude and talk very rude especially the chinese girl with spec. No smile at all!

Awesome budget stay for frequent Penang travellers, quick and easy access from the highway, food spots are just minutes of walking distance away and you will be given a clean tower and a mineral water upon check-in and you will be greeted by a few friendly young staff. The restroom are clean with liquid soap and shampoo provided. Thus a choice for hot bath is also available.

I like the modern and simple style and yet 90’s feel. The shower is good and clean. The bed is soft and comfy. Value for its money. Will recommend my stay.

Stayed here for 3 Nights. It has a good location to get to and to explore the Old Town. Dorms were to cold, the cleanliness in the shower could be better but was ok. During the day the staff was in general helpful, nightshift not so much. Unsure if I would stay here again. Surely no Place to find other travellers.

The staff are so moody and having a bad facial impression, the way she talk also really rude and serious, I just realised I book a wrong room, instead saying sorry, she just bluntly say there is no room available, I just ok, but then she did not suggest any nearest hotel or motel for recommendation, ignoring and still making straight face, really turn my mood off. I did go out and walk almost 1hour for new room, really dissapointing and rude.

We got one of the queen rooms. Very solid set up, especially for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful. They had a small bar but drinks are cheaper elsewhere (duh it's a hotel).

The receptionist has been very helpful, she has had active conversations with me to make sure I am getting the best experience from the hotel. It is extremely cheap and immaculately clean (I'm a germaphob so this is a big one for me). Although I am sharing a room with 12 other people, you would have never have guessed it as it is so private with your own pod. It is very quiet and the beds are very comfortable. Would 11/10 recommend.

Clean, comfortable and affordable. What more can you want for a hostel besides location and this location wasn't bad at all.

1) Comfortable dormitory for people looking for affordable accommodation in Georgetown. 2) Strategic location which is in walking distant to various attractions such as chew Jetty, wall paintings, blue mansion, chinahouse restaurant/cafe/pub etc. 3) Friendly and resourceful staff. 4) A bag with basic kits will be provided. It includes a towel, toothbrush and toothpaste. Remember to return the towel when you check out.

Perfect hotel for the backpackers especially who came alone and want to take lot of photography stuff. We can find restaurant around here and the bus stop. The environment here were great. The restroom and the hotel were very clean, slippers and hair drier were available here. The waiters were friendly and we can refill our drinks there. Can't wait to stay there next times.

Everything is so perfect, from the front desk service to the cleanliness, the bathroom and the ambience is so comfortable cozy and relaxing. The only reason it can't get my 5th star is the noise of the blower for the air conditioner is very loud {for me} and the pod is enclosed with a sunshade not a locked door. Overall I still love this place will come again.

Loving the rooms, comfortable stylish, we got the corner room, which we had nice angle room. I love it!

Very hipster. I stayed in the female pods. Loved the ambiance and customer service, the rain shower and the option of using the shower hose. Toilets are very clean. Location is great. But the beeping sound of the door when its not closed properly and the sound the locker makes when it opens is annoying when you wanna open the locker late at night/ come back late. I found the pods (being vertically inwards) inconvenient when you wanna find a place to put your things, but I guess this is a personally preference (Yes, I have stayed in other hostels before).

Nice hotel, which is the case. Small double room with good litterie. They take 100 MYR deposit at the arrival. Staff friendly and helpful, but missing a bit of info to organize your transfers, tours etc.

Terrible sound-proof. Bedrooms are always dusty. The ventilator is noisy. Lovely design, adjacent to the jetty. The common area is comfy but too small.

Nice location, friendly staff and place was good.
Only downside was a noise level. (bring a pair of ear plugs will be perfect)

You got good environment unfortunately your Ipoh hotel with rude receptionist services. Our reservation can just cancel by your receptionist without our acknowledge… this is totally unprofessional and unacceptable!
If your company didn't know how to do reservation services, pls send your ppl take course to learn. If your no willing to pay a course, pls stop doing a reservation service. Do first come first serve! … or else your staff may only carry service philosophy cheap rate with cheap service in their mind.

This hostel has a pretty cool design, very alternative. The pods were nicely built but it smelled a bit like wet carpet… Still, the location is perfect, just across from the ferry and a short walk to Chulia. Near street art.
