There's a reason why this place is so cheap. We arrived and they hadn't received our booking through agoda which we got discount on, so had to call agoda to get a refund and paid full price for 2 nights. Room was pretty dirty but we were prepared for this as it was cheap, bathrooms not great, and atmosphere was really weird. Tried to sleep but couldn't, and then we found 2 large bed bugs. Told reception and they gave us new sheets but it didn't put our minds to rest so we found another guesthouse and pushed for a full refund — which we eventually got. The people there were quite nice to be honest, when we arrived someone gave me some watermelon and a lady brought me a fan. But I don't think there's any excuse to have bedbugs that big, it means they've been around for a while and they haven't properly cleaned the room. You're better off spending some more money on better accommodation!

The price increased, 13 was written on Lonely Planet, and it turned out to be MYR 25

Terrible experience with the staff.

Loud, smokey, dirty, and no privacy. If you like to sleep, don't bother. The rooms have a old jalousie windows and they are missing pieces of glass, so smoke and noise come directly in your room and wake you up. Drunks come in from the pubs all night long into the morning and talk loudly, laugh loudly, even yell to each other up and down the hallways. There are toilets and showers near the sinks, but people cough stuff up constantly and spit in the sinks and clog them. Some people even wash their feet in the sinks. Do you want to wash your face and brush your teeth in these clogged sinks?

The dorms are very tight.

Simple and cheap, but not very clean rooms, constant smoking in the stairways that makes everything smell and both staff and clientele is a bit sad. Depressing place.

Little bit run down, but nice owners and free breakfast! Quite near to a Tamil Temple and an Indian Restaurant with great food. Recommended.

Cheap rooms in a central location. Good for backpacking and sudden emergencies in the cold city.

The price has risen, Lonely Planet wrote 13, and it turned out to be RM25
