I stayed at Pakachere in March last year while travelling down Malawi with some friends. It's a fun place — hospitable, comfortable, and characterful, good food and drinks. I would definitely recommend it. The owners are also very helpful and go out of their way to assist you, for example, if like me you carry a spoon that belonged to your grandpa (and who doesn't in this modern age of ours) and you accidentally leave it Pakachere you need not abandon hope. Did they send it back to me? No, they CARRIED it with them back to Europe when they were visiting. I was, and still am, amazed and vey grateful, thank you guys, I owe you a stroopwaffel.

Very homey place. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff and good food. Definitely a good place to stay in Zomba!

Nice place to rest, relax and catch up with friends. The small huts provide a nice ambiance for get-togethers over lunch or dinners. Good is reasonable and it takes a looong time for them to prepare and serve, so don't go here if looking for a quick meal. Staff is courteous and pleasant.

I stayed at Packachere with two friends for almost three weeks and we loved it! It was our first experience in Africa, so it was really nice that the staff was willing to help us with everything. There are good places to relax, to study and to hang around with other people (all very clean! ). They have a good mix of food, also a lot vegetarian options. If I come back to Malawi, I'll definitely go to Packachere!

They make delicious snacks for sale, though their food is a bit on the expensive side. Its a nice and quiet place. It has an open space where people can hold their small events there. Though not a lot of parking space in the case that a lot of people are there. A must try if you are looking for something new.

They have nice food. Summer hats for hanging outdoors. Great for camping they have yoga sessions sometimes during the week. Nice place to meet new people. Its got that afrocentric vibe.

Great place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and get some work in. Also a really great place to just chill and meet new people… and their Tyson burger is not bad at all.

Stayed for a couple of nights after long days in Blantyre. Really nice relaxed place. Bar was a nice mix of locals and tourists. Quiet places to relax aswell. Good prices on drinks, food (which was really nice) and accommodation. Staff are all nice and owners Annalise and Jeroen are very friendly. A must stay if travelling through Zomba and Malawi. Will definitely be back.

Lovely garden with restaurant covered under grape vines. Nice food, good common areas. Staff can be a little unfriendly.

We were at Pakachere for a few days in October. One of the best places we satyed in Malawi. Nice room, super cool garden, friendly owners and Isack our guide was fantastic. He was by far the best guide we had in whole Malawi. If you are there, go to Zomba Plato or make some other trip with him.

Enjoyed my chicken curry in the new outdoor shaded area. That other one's been here longer.

Visit Zomba the Old Capital City of Malawi, which has a magnificient Mountain (Plateaux). At the foot of the mountain there is Pakachere one of the best Backpacker's stop place you can't afford to miss and chill-out and enjoy some traditional and exortic dishes.

WOW! I'm so sorry I never gave a review! I've been mad busy getting drunk in Thailand oops! This place is the most amazing place ever, I can't explain its amazingness! You need to stay here! I stay Here for 11 weeks! Staff are the greatest people, they are so friendly and like family! I stayed in the double room with bathroom! It was always clean and I got my beds washed every 5 days, luxury for a back packer! Food is great! I miss everyone loads! Love you Ciaran and Katrien! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
