Save your money… The worst experience ever. The hotel was sticking, the carpet was very dirty. There was dust all over, dirty linen, dirty curtains. Horrible food, lack of diversified foods. Horrible sausages. Cockroaches in the dining area where food is served.

Simama Hotel was terrible on multiple levels. The rooms including the carpet, linen and curtains were filthy. Requested a change of linen and it was worse. Discovered they did not even have a vacuum cleaner to deal with the dusty carpet. There were multiple occasions where our food was off, the meat was not fresh, I skipped meals because I did not want to risk food poisoning. We had cockroaches in the dinning area, on the tables, and what I believe were rodents in the ceiling. A health risk, emotional turmoil and certainly not worth your peace of mind. I must add though, the staff were friendly and did try their best to make our stay a little bearable, but it was clear that their hands were tied, they did not have the resources to improve the situation.

The antiquity makes the place more interesting and beautiful! Loved my stay here.

Within 10 minutes of checking in we found bed bugs in the bed. We were gaslighted and told it was sand. If I can post the picture, I will and you can decide for yourself if the picture shows bed bugs. We were put out for transportation to a new hotel and more money for the room.
Not to mention the place hasn’t been decorated in years. It looks a luxury hotel from out of I Love Lucy era.

During I stay in Malawi, I enjoyed the restaurant of this hotel. The place is very calm, clean and personnel are very smiling and pròfessionnal. I enjoyed ĺocal beer there with friend. Especially their meal. It was very tasty such away that we went back the second time. There is a game track there.

This hotel does not even deserve any star. The worst hotel I've ever stayed.
The rooms are dirty, smelly carpet, too clastered dirty sheets dirty towels everything is terrible!
The corridor had dirty sheets and plates everywhere.
Sadly I cannot recommend it to anyone, huge disappointment.

I organised a two day workshop here for mixed European, African and Vietnamese colleagues. I was actually quite pleased. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and made us all feel welcome. My room was a decent size, it was clean and comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. Some of the rooms are apparently a bit small so if that is an issue for you check beforehand. I enjoyed the food and the fish from Lake Malawi was very good. The view from my bedroom at the front of the hotel was pleasent. Although the view was across the main road it was still surprisingly quiet. I would definately stay here again, if the opportunity arises.

Simama has fabulous rooms and services but the prices are low.

Love the comfort of the rooms, Costumer service and lovely internet connection.
