It is an home away home for any body.

Their food was very delicious.

A very mediocre-to-poor motel-style hotel, with very basic rooms that despite the reasonable price, was not good value. The included-breakfast is simply dreadful, with really basic options, and while I understand certain restrictions, no alcohol on site made it a bit of a limited location for a business venue, as getting a beer after a long day of work was not possible. Internet was patchy — off about 30 % of the time. On the way to the airport, my colleague told me his room was invested with cockroaches, which would have had me running for the door! I also didn't have a great start to my visit as I was left waiting at the airport while the shuttle driver chatted with taxi drivers, not showing his sign. Generally, I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless they really jack up their standards. One saving grace, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The smiles and friendship of Vipin and Aditia are Riverside hotel's logo. Their personality and hospitality are the hotel's business card. How they both leave others feeling after an experience with them becomes the hotel's trade mark. Well done to them. Keep the pace.

Very beautiful place to stay while in Lilongwe. The rooms are clean and secured but there's no room service.

Riverside Hotel has been one of the hotels which have left a mark in my life where Hospitality is indeed felt. The food is great (Buffet). Friendly Working staff.

Better to get a booking beforehand.

Friendly staff but should improve on their air cons…

The reason why I am giving this 1 star is that my night was seriously disturbed by noise in two ways. Firstly, each room has a very loud buzzer on the door, and the buzzers on adjacent rooms were being sounded as early as 5am. Secondly, there were building works for a hotel extension happening right outside my bedroom window from around 5.30 or 6am. There were cement mixers, at least a dozen people talking in loud voices, and banging. I was exhausted after a long journey, and the following day, in which I had meetings, was utterly ruined by having had such a bad night's sleep. Other than that, the staff were not particularly helpful or friendly when I arrived, although when I explained my problem with the room they did offer me a different one for the next night (which I declined and opted to check out, because there was still the issue of the buzzers). The a room was decent if a little small for a double room, and the en suite was a little shabby compared to the smart bathrooms found in other hotels in this price range. I didn't eat in the restaurant because the staff never told me where it was and I was too exhausted and too annoyed to eat anything. The interior of the hotel is unattractive and has nothing to recommend it. It is not a pleasant or relaxing place to be. In summary, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about getting a good night's sleep.

Both the accommodation and food served are OK. Head next door to the Lingadzi Inn for a cool drink in their grounds.

I only visited the conference room. It was OK but service the air conditioners… food n snacks were OK and friendly staff.

Accommodation is fair. Breakfast not to standard. Some of the rooms and especially room 305 have bad shower installations. There is no life after dinner.

Great choice of food and hospitality. Friendly staff.
