Antoremba Lodge
Reviews of Antoremba Lodge
We absolutely LOVED our stay there. Everything about this place is so special, from the small touches to the setting to the day trips. The food was also amazing, and the cocktails were great. They were fantastic hosts and really amazing staff.
The corals just in front of the lodge are beautiful and the accommodation is comfortable and feels like luxury.
We can highly recommend the Nosy Komba and Tanikelly excursions. Both of those were very special and we got to hang out with some turtles and lemurs.

My wife and I spent three weeks in Antoremba in Dec. — Jan. As a 50th birthday present to ourselves. Our three grown sons came down to us for 10 of the days over Christmas. We really enjoyed our stay. Both Antoremba Lodge — the beach, the restaurant and their cottages — and the surrounding nature is incredibly beautiful. The owners and staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. The food was fantastic.
No one in our family can speak French, but it was not a problem to communicate in English by email, when we arranged our stay, and during our stay we also communicated with the owners in English (with some good will and patience). One of the staff members spoke good English, and she helped us a lot. It is a lot easier to travel in Madagascar if you speak French, but we managed with English, kindness and good will.
In the morning we enjoyed a swim to their beautiful house reef, where we sometimes even saw sea turtles, and afterwards we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the restaurant with amazing view over the sea, while we could follow local fishermen who sometimes docked on the beach in their small simple boats and sold the morning's catch to the restaurant. We were on several of Antoremba's trips to Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Mamoko, Lokobe and a nearby mangrove forest. Antoremba also helped us arrange a full day sport fishing tour in the sea around Nosy Mitsio. Antoremba also provided a guide for a nice walk up the mountain behind the lodge to a nearby village and school.
