Such a friendly and cozy hostel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Comfortable beds, nice friendly common area and free waffles 9-11am were a nice touch. There are free packets of earplugs on reception desk, take some because the traffic lights outside make constant noises but that's not the hostels fault! I had a brilliant stay, will definately return here next time I'm in Riga.

Really lovely hostel. Social but not party, which is exactly what I was looking for. Best part is the staff, that is very helpful. They gave me many good suggestions, including of free walking tours, a great place to eat Latvian food and even a Latvian novel. They also organised several events. Rooms are cool (even though the ten bed is a little crowded), with plugs in every bed, lots of showers and toilets. Large lockers that could hold my whole backpack. Wi-Fi was very good.

My stay at Cinnamon Sally was Perfectaz I had never seen a more charming staff. The facilities in very good condition and even if they don't say it has breakfast included.

Cinnamon Sally's is a great hostel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, with plenty of knowledge of the city and of day trips outside Riga. The bed was very comfortable, and the rest of the hostel felt very cosy. Free waffles every morning was great as well.

Fantastic atmosphere and lovely, attentive staff. I recommend anyone to stay here, it's like home.

We had the only private room of the hostel for three nights. The bed was very loud and noisy which made it kinda hard to sleep because it squeaked with every move you made inside. The quiet hours of the hostel from 12am to 9am made it also hard to sleep if you wanna go to bed at 10pm, having people chatting in the common area round the corner. Kitchen and bath rooms have been nice and clean. Grocery store is just across the street.

Seriously the best hostel I ever stayed in. The philosophy behind it and the people working there create an amazing atmosphere! Keep it up!

I checked on website that there were availiable spaces in this hostel, but when I ringed the doorbell the receptionist told me they were fully booked and shut the door to my face. When I said that it wasnt true, he told me he didnt want to let me in because I spoke with russian accent. I felt really humiliated and now think if you really want to stay there and experience that. This is literally my favorite hostel. It's a jazzy place with a good, welcoming atmosphere. As soon as I opened the door, I knew I would stay. The hostel workers were the best and really cool people.

I enjoyed with my friends a 3-Nights stay. Very good hostel, clean friendly full of good music. The guys who works in it are adorable. Tom in particular, very strong man!

Well, let me tell you… As a well travelled 34 year old from scotland. Ive travelled on and off for about 16 years. In this time I've probably been to over a thousand backpackers all over the world in some amazing destinations. In that time there are actually very few hostels that really stand out in my mind, but what I would say is that mostly it's the people that make the place, along with having all the facilities a modern traveller needs after getting off the beaten trac…k. This is one of them. Their knowledgable friendly staff are a credit to their profession. Their facilities are homely, comfortable and exactly what u need out of a modern hostel at fantastic prices… I'll not prattle on too much but I just want to make you aware that if u do decide to go for another option and stay somewhere else, you are probably missing out. Big thanks to all the staff that opened there hearts that has rewarded me with a fluffy floating feeling after a short spurt of travelling before returning to my normal mundane hustle back in scotland. I can feel the fear already encroaching in the reality that at 9am tomorrow morning i'll be sitting back at work contemplating life choices and starting my 5 day working week.

Awesome experience especially for a first timer to a hostel. Comfy beds, hot showers, free tea and coffee and amazing free waffles in the morning, all for a low price. Who would want more? :)

The staffs are all very nice and the room is clean. There is a big common area as well. The only downside for some people might be the noise at night. However, a great place to stay instead.

From the multi-coloured fairy lights that adorn the ceiling of the common room to the comfy beds and sneaky smokers balcony, everything about this junior hostel is A+.
My girlfriends and I stayed at Cinnamon Sally's for almost a week In July and it had a great homey vibe. They must enforce a 'no dickhead' policy because everyone we met was wonderful and lovely — from the hosts to the other guests! … Special shout out to one of the hosts, Tom, he was super welcoming and made you feel at home right away. His genuine interest in the group of guests at the hostel made him the ultimate party host; more like a friend in an already really friendly country. I honestly couldn't recommended this place more… unless somebody wants to pay me… I am open to bribes ;)

Possibly the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfectly clean, safe, the price was good, the location was ideal as it was minutes from the Old Town but away from the nightlife noise. It's the most welcoming place I've ever stayed — the staff were wonderful and regularly went above and beyond what was required of them and I met so many wonderful people here thanks to the relaxed and inclusive atmosphere with nightly activities and morning waffles!

This place must have really gone downhill since the other people left there reviews over a year ago. The staff was quite possibly the worst I have ever encountered at any hostel. I once checked into a hostel in Malaysia and found a rat in my room and the staff at that hostel were nicer than the staff at Cinnamon Sally Backpackers.

This is a great place to stay if you want to show up and find out they have "lost your reservation". What's really nice is how it takes 10 minutes for the front desk to realize they really did screw up. Then the real fun begins when they tell you that even though you have a confirmed reservation they have no place for you to stay! Good luck fending for yourself in Riga after the hostel tells you they are overbooked and won't honor your reservation!
