Qaribu Inn

Very poor services! we were a very small group of 10 doing buffet but the food was brought in late, they took away the plates yet we had not finished eating so anytime we needed extra plates we had to go and look for them, we kept asking for serviette until we went and just grabbed one from the tables since there was no one on sight. There was no stand by waitress so we kept going back to the hotel to call people. It was not a nice experience.

We had 5 rooms reserved, and had received confirmation in writing. Showed up after long flights from the U. S. And the hotel had given the rooms to other parties — even though we had reconfirmed earlier that day. The management did transfer to a sister hotel, but were not honest in reconfirming rooms that very day. Reservation system is not reliable.

The service was very slow. The hotel lacked in stock for drinks options, including WATER! The toilets are not clean, and the quality of food, especially their soups definitely need improving. We had requested for butternut soup, instead we got plain salted pumpkin soup.

I had hoped to have my graduation at the facility. We paid a deposit for the booking, only to be told after payment that it was already fully booked, something that should have been disclosed before taking our money. To make matters worse, when we questioned this, the incompetent receptionists, Terryane and her accomplice actually laughed at us. Yes, they laughed, as if it was some kind of joke. It was insulting, humiliating, and showed a complete lack of professionalism or empathy.

Qaribu Inn has a great setting and could be an amazing place — but sadly, the service is CONSISTENTLY DISAPPOINTING!
First, I had a terrible experience trying to make a booking. I paid a deposit, only to be told afterwards that the destination was already fully booked. No one communicated this beforehand, and when I reached out for help, the staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.
I’ve also spent a night there before, and it was just as frustrating. The room was dusty, clearly not cleaned properly before check-in. To make things worse, there was no electricity card provided, so I had to stay in the dark — literally. When I brought this up at the reception, the receptionist was incredibly rude, offering no solution or apology.
The place itself has potential, but the poor management, lack of basic hospitality, and untrained staff make it a stressful experience. I would not recommend staying or booking anything here until serious changes are made.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Qaribu Inn. I tried to book a destination through them, and only after paying the deposit was I informed that the place was fully booked. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of proper communication and professionalism.
To make matters worse, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful when I asked for clarification or guidance on how to proceed. I was met with dismissive responses by Terryane and no real effort to resolve the issue.
The worst part is I’ve only come to really that we aren’t the only victims of this, they’ve done this to other unsuspecting clients before!
Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere — this place clearly does not value customer service or accountability.

The hotel is a shadow of it's former self. Very expensive but poor services. 205 has broken furniture and mirrors… no towels in the room unless you order for one in the morning which takes forever. Front desk is rude shifting blames… cant print a simple receipt of accommodation cz they don't have a printer. I don't think I want to visit the hotel again.

I planned a birthday surprise for my friend and I requested them to do small birthday decorations for her, the service provider asked for a small fee of Ksh 2500 which I was okay with. Only to get there and nothing is done and they refused to refund my money. Their food is perfect but their service and management is trash.

We have been to conference there for few days. Coming to hotel, At first you Don’t expect much, but when entering the yard, you get surprised by beauty Of trees and all.
Some things could be little better (I Had to remind the cleaning ladies to bring me back foot towel), but everything was clean, we Had hot water, drinking water every day was brought to Room, the food was nice and the exterior wonderful. Workers Are really nice and helpful.

The rooms are really good, I have liked everything so far, except that they should include hot water showers to their amenities.

We held my aunt's birthday 🎂 here and the food was delicious 😋 but they didn't keep time to have it ready, good parking 🅿️.
I was disappointed ☹️ that some drinks were not available and also the washrooms were not maintained well through out our stay.

The only thing that is nice is the kissing bridge. It's photo-worth.
The shower had an issue and they did nothing about it. Imagine being force to take a cold shower, with this Nairobi weather 😔💔Zero response to calls and emergencies. The attitude of the waiters is very bad.
By the way, the lift was not working at that time. Imagine taking the stairs up to fifth floor.
The manager really doesn't care about customer service!

Need to improve on the staff, they need more training.
Need to improve on the room service. How can one lack room slippers of all things, the shower has cold water also,
The lift is not also functional, how can I go to fifth by stairs now and then.

I was ashamed to host a conference in Qaribu Inn. Dinner was ready after 9pm and the meat was spoilt, half the rooms has no slippers, no hot water to shower yet they offered to give hot water with basins, no mints for conference, TVs not working, and the list continues… some years ago I had a great experience training from there. What is wrong.

I had a troubling experience with Qaribu Inn while trying to book their venue, the Gazebo. After numerous conversations, I was requested to make a deposit of KSh 10, 000 on August 13, 2024, to reserve the Gazebo. Lovin, our primary contact, assured us that this deposit was refundable in case we changed our minds within a reasonable timeframe. The payment was confirmed via Mpesa on August 13, 2024. On August 16, 2024, we realized that the venue was unsuitable for our group due to accessibility concerns. Initially, we had planned to bring a younger crowd. However, 2 days later, our invite list evolved to include older folks. It became clear Qaribu would not do due to accessibility concerns about the venue and that we needed a space more conducive for older folks. We promptly informed Lovin, explained the situation and requested a refund.
Since August 16, we have faced significant difficulties. Despite numerous follow-ups with Lovin and being directed to another contact of an individual said to the Operations Manager, our refund has not been processed. The Operations Manager assured us of a callback that never happened, and the number is unreachable. We wrote an email to their complaints department — someone called me last week saying he was following up and that we would have our money back. A few days later when I called, he claimed to still be following up with the finance team because one of the managers was away.

Located on waiyaki way very convenient place just by the road.
The place is very clean.
Great service.
Great confrence facility.
There is ample parking.
They have various places you can dine.
Very beautiful grounds especially if you want to have a romantic date they have a huge gazebo.
The food is 10/10 their chapattis I recommend.
Their rooms just amazing clean and beautiful.
I enjoyed every minute of it.

Beautiful, serene place. Well maintained lawns and gardens. Ideal for weddings and parties. The deck has amazing view. Kissing bridge was a good idea.
The restaurant is affordable but nevertheless a great place to spend some relaxing time with family and friends.
