Villa Rock Stop Falls Gigiri

Absolutely amazing place, located in the middle of a forest (or so it seems) but only 5-10 minutes away from the UN and Gigiri, with cozy indoor and outdoor areas to hang out or work. Rooms are large and comfortable, the staff is really great and very helpful, breakfast is delicious and Norman has a huge knowledge of tourist and not-so-touristy places in Nairobi and Kenya that he generously shares. Very highly recommended, I feel like arriving to my second home every time I check in there.

A real gem in Nairobi, a perfect place if you want to stay in the middle of nature but still only 10 minutes away from the UN and embassy quarter. The rooms are large, breakfast is great and varied, good Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building and the staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. Norman, the exceptionally friendly host, is also a great tour guide and animal spotter in Nairobi National Park.
The hotel has several cozy common spaces — both inside and outside — which are great for reading, working or just chatting. I have stayed several times at the hotel and every time I feel like arriving at my second home. Absolutely recommended!

I spent 2 nights here; booked for 3 nights but the guest in my booked room must've loved it so much that they extended their stay by one more night. All the rooms were fully booked; mid-week as well. I now see why. It was an amazing experience after a long flight from Manchester, UK.
The host kindly accommodated me in lovely a private home nearby for the first night which was really thoughtful. The hostess, Millicent, was so kind and very helpful. I was also allowed to check in at 1am — way before my official check-in time, (before I was notified about the extended stay)
On our first night, I heard a knock on my door; one of the staff offered me a hot water bottle because (she thought) it was getting a bit chilly; my heart melted. The constant, soothing sound of the waterfall outside my window was an experience I'll never forget. Everything was just perfect! Will definitely come back here for many, many more years. Lovely, polite staff; beautiful ambience.
As I write this at my desk on my laptop, it's 5:49 am and all I can hear is the soothing sound of the waterfall just a few metres from my window! Surreal.

Felt like a magical oasis tucked away from the city in Nairobi! We loved the views, the staff, the food and the environment. We also brought our kids who had a blast exploring and our mission team of 17. We were very well cared for and the experience was top tier!

A really unique spot; by far the most memorable hotel I've stayed in. Fascinating architecture, while retaining the soul of the country, lovely and helpful staff that made us feel truly at welcome, plus a wonderful location surrounded by green scenery and by a waterfall. When we left it felt more like moving out from our home than just yet another hotel. Little details that will stay in our memories forever.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Rockstop Nairobi. The location is perfect — close enough to everything you need, yet peaceful and relaxing at the same time. One of the most beautiful parts of the experience was the river flowing right next to the property, surrounded by lush greenery, which makes the whole atmosphere feel calm and refreshing.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everything was handled with care, and the hospitality truly made us feel at home. A special thanks to the host, Norman, who is simply amazing — incredibly friendly, helpful, and a lovely guide throughout the stay. His warm personality and genuine care made the experience even more memorable.

Beautiful house and gardens. Most warm and helpful staff. Friendly service. Clean. Very nice breakfast. Not suitable for people who require walking assistance but amazing views of the falls, birds and vegetation.

I stayed for a few days at Norman’s hotel with his staff, and it was truly a memorable experience. Norman welcomed us warmly from the very first moment—we never felt like guests, but like friends. Not only did he take care of our stay impeccably (comfortable room, perfectly clean, every detail well looked after), he also organized a customized tour for us that turned out to be fantastic: an expert guide, interesting insights, ideal timing, and special attention that made everything unique.
His care for the comfort and well-being of his guests was evident at every moment: he anticipated our needs, made sure we were satisfied, and handled everything with professionalism and kindness.
Moreover, what developed became much more than a simple client–service relationship: I had the pleasure of getting to know Norman as a person, and I am truly glad I did. It’s rare to find someone who not only does their job well, but does it with heart. Thank you, Norman, for your availability and for making everything perfect.

What a delightful find, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city but within easy reach of it. A stunning architecturally designed house nestled in an oasis of calm and tranquility where all you hear is the sound of the waterfall. Felt safe and well looked after — Norman is a gem and nothing is too much trouble. Upon returning late on a chilly evening the beds had been turned down and hot water bottles were waiting for us… what a thoughtful treat!

The villa is amazing. Staying there felt like being in the paradise. It is located in the middle of the nature. It has many cosy little quiet places for reading or meditating. Norman is such a great host. He showed me hidden beautiful places in Nairobi and surrounding which I would have never found.

We were a group of 11 people staying 3 nights at Rockstop. It’s a great place, clean and safe location. The owners are extremely friendly and you fell very welcome.
We had a traditional Kenya dinner and loved it.
The rest of the staff are also very nice and make you fell “at home”.
Next time we come around Nairobi, we know where to stay.

This is more of a work of art than a bed and breakfast. A building that adapts to nature and embraces it. The room is comfortable, clean with a nice colorful bathroom. The common areas in the house immediately put you at ease and the owner with his mother and all the staff make you feel part of the family more than a guest. I'm sorry I only stayed two nights, but every time I return to Nairobi I will come here! and I forgot, the sound of the river accompanies the stay like a soundtrack.

The place is very wonderful with a beautiful scenery. Services are great and the people are very welcoming. Even willing to give you extra support to make it easy to navigate Nairobi as a first timer.
