Jacaranda Hotel Nairobi

We booked a quick dinner and David at the reception really pulled the strings and made it happen. There was only one waitress for the night by the name Sharon, who made sure we got everything we needed. She was super friendly and she knows her stuff. The chef was Martin who cooked us a luscious steak and also great food. 10/10

My stay at the Jacaranda Hotel in Nairobi was both pleasant and memorable. The hotel enjoys an excellent location, conveniently close to several shopping malls, including my personal favourite, the Sarit Centre. This accessibility added great value to my overall experience.
The room was clean, tastefully furnished, and offered a lovely view of the hotel’s well-maintained garden an inviting and tranquil space to relax in. I was equally impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, who consistently made me feel welcome and well-attended to throughout my stay.
Overall, Jacaranda Hotel provides a comfortable and convenient environment, and I would gladly consider staying there again.

The staff were courteous and supportive throughout the sessions, which made the experience smooth and productive. However, it would be great if they could improve the refreshments, breakfast, and lunch options, both in variety and quality.

Lovely classic old hotel in center of Westlands. We had a 5 day conference and were very well treated. The spa and gym are good. I didn't try the sauna/steam room but my colleagues really appreciated them.
The rooms are well appointed, if a little tired. The water heater in my room stopped working after the 2nd day.
My room was facing the pool, and so at 6am each morning I was woken by what must have been a swim team. I didnt mind as I get up at that time, but people who want to sleep later may want to avoid a room facing the pool.
The meals were good and the staff were helpful and kind.
Being across from sarit was very convenient — but a reminder to leave before 7pm or you have to walk around to the main gate.

The room was clean and had enough toiletries and coffee, the heated swimming pool was good though past 6pm you can’t use and thats when I want to swim because am at the meeting day time, and the food was 3/10

Excellent customer service especially from the Security Personnel, Reception and House keeping. The ambiance is wow. A walking distance to one of the biggest shopping mall (Sarit) in Nairobi.

Too many unnecessary processes and unfavourable policies. They can be more efficient to give clients better experiences. If you raise this with any staff they all have the same responses (well trained I thought) that is 'This is just part of our policies' What good are the policies if they just work for the staff and are inconveniencing to the client who has paid for the services? Never going back here.

Best customer service and the breakfast was very good. Consider having more ventilation for ground floor bathroom space.
Steam bath was awesome.

This is a cool place if you want to go to organized gym, heated pool, steam and sauna it is the place to go.
The reception is awesome. I like the fact they have clean towers and slippers and a place to dispose them when you finish to use them.

The bed is comfortable with nice soft pillows. Lighting is cool and refreshing.
Hotel should improve on bathroom. Bath water deluge the toilet surface even to corridor. It was supposed to be a bit sunken instead of being raised. Introduce air conditioners.

Jacaranda is very homely and the staff very friendly. The hotel is very clean and the food very nutritious. I love the hospitality. The environment is serene and natural.
I would like the bath water to be more warmer because of the weather. Good.

I imagine this hotel was grand sometime in the late 20th century… but seems it’s slowly decaying in a hundred different ways now. Main peeve was lack of AC and broken ceiling fan. They provided a portable fan instead which made it very difficult to sleep. Location is great though.

This is my fifht time at Jacaranda and it is always like home! Wonderful staff, nice location and position and tasty food. The service is smart and every request is welcomed at any time with the effort and the will to accomodate the guests. There is also the possibility to reach the mall from a gate in the hotel and some nice restaurants positioned at walking distance.

Had a good experince at Jacaranda. The place's ambiance is cosy, quiet, well organised, and clean, including the rooms. Good breakfast. Although the only part of the food I enjoyed most was the nyama choma. Never enjoyed the rest of the food.

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Not all the rooms have an AC but at least they have a fan. Nice little garden to chill in by the pool or under the trees. Right next to Sarit Centre which makes it very easy to do some quick shopping or to grab a coffee, get a sim card or draw some money from ATM.

Hotel is very dated and has no air condition. You well get a fan if you request one. The facilities are not at their best and everything seems old and dated. The front desk staff is not the most pleasant especially one female named GLAVINE she has no business working there and is the most unpleasant person I’ve dealt with. She had a horrible attitude with me and my friends over no reason. From the minute we checked in, it was always complicated dealing with her for no apparent reason. The worst part of my stay at Jacaranda Hotel. Traveled around Africa for 3 weeks and found the nicest people very friendly and courteous. Not sure why she is working there or why she’s working the front desk. Besides her, I wouldn’t stay at that hotel ever again do yourself a favor and go to some other more modern hotel with amenities.

The room was very spacious and hot water was available in the bathroom.
The food was sumptuous and in plenty. Breakfast was akin a 3 course meal (Cereals, fruits, juice, milk, omelette). I loved the fried gizzards.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
