Check in it was okay, they gladly let us check in that late at night.
But they wanted us to pay straight away and didn’t have any local money because we arrived at the airport at 3 am and the exchange place was closed. So they took dollars from us but didn’t have any change to give us back. So they said they will keep the dollars for deposit and next day we could ask for them back once we changed money and pay in local Kenyan shillings.
Our surprise was that next morning they changed our money for us (in a bank with a very bad rate apparently) so it ended up being more expensive, it was the rate they wanted!
Our booking included breakfast, they said no. We had to argue with them. Breakfast was good and staff were nice actually.
But the rooms are not good at all. Everything old and broken. There are mosquitoes in the room because the bathroom window wouldn’t close. And there are a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom and even saw 2 in the room! Windows are super dirty. … You can go walking to the city centre but need to walk through a rough area that can be a bit scary. It wasn’t even the cheapest place we stayed in Kenya. Disappointed. I give 2 stars because staff from the restaurant and breakfast was nice. Also location was okay.

Staff are dishonest, I accidentally left an item & after repeated emails & phone calls & being assured it was safe when I returned to collect it was no where to be found. The owner is a liar, lift doesn’t work (so you might have to walk up 6 flights of stairs with luggage), staff rude & only breakfast option was chapaetti, also area does not feel safe & no cafes/restauraunts nearby.

Worst place ever to stay at. No water, no electricity, nothing! I can imagine that a prison is better to stay at, you won't have roaches, rats, bugs and other insects running around and you will have some cleaner space! Never ever Deka again!
The stuff is innocent and has nothing to do with this opinion! They are cool!

Nice place, very relaxing and reliable place. You can book online or via the phone, very friendly receptionist and the guy on the fon is friendly too. I really recommend this b&b when you Visit Nairobi.
