Classic place for jungle adventure on the banks of Mara river with deer’s, man goose around and Hippos in river. The staff is courteous and service is good. Food is above average but the accommodation and overall experience is ultimate.

Super place to visit and stay. Super staff. Safe and a beautiful view from where you stay, its right along the Mara river. Get to hear beautiful birds all day. See and hear hippos all day too. Much go place. Breakfast lunch dinner all inclusive. Just outside the camp starts you day safari. The camp is right in between the reserve.

What a fabulous place to visit. If u could stay there forever it would be just right, arround the best wild life you can imagine to explore. Super cozy tents to live in. Beautiful people to interact with. Listen to the hippos and the beautiful sound of the birds. Who need alarms at such place. Lol. Loved it. A must do thing in your life time.

Good tented camp well located on the banks of the Mara river. The Ashnil Mara is located deep in the Masai Mara within wildlife confluence area. You enjoy views of the hippos and crocodiles from the comfort of your terrace. Great food. Favorite tent, Number 03.

We had a lovely stay at Ashnil Mara. The tents were a perfect combination of outdoor feel and indoor comfort. You could even hear the hippos at night, which really set the mood! The food was also fantastic with several different cuisine options, and all the staff was wonderful. I've heard of other camps having to drive up to an hour to game drive, but that is not the case at Ashnil. It is perfectly situated and in the middle of it all.

Heaven exists! Inside the Masai Mara park, a lodge with luxury individual tents, with bathroom and private terrace overlooking the Mara River. Between game drives we observe the cute hippos soaking in the river in front of us. Food also well cared for vegetarians.

Lovely! Very strategic by the banks of Mara river. Perfect for seeing almost all big 5, crocs and hippos. Rooms are lovely!. Biggest problem is water systems to rooms. Bad experiences in other Ashnils visited on that issue.

Its amazing. I took a liking to the river behind it and it's view.

Great spot in the Mara to view the wildebeest migration. And centrally located from all the cat hotspots.

Had fantastic time saw all the animals we wanted to. Had great driver. Done fantastic hot air balloon over the Mara. The camp was fantastic to great staff and loads lovely food Highly recommend it.

Very serene especially with the mara river flowing right infront of the restaurant and the tents. Superb.

Loved this camp. The staff were amazing. The location was great and the food was really good. Aniketh, the head chef is making a real difference with the food and staff like Job, Kelvin, Johnson and Singi make the stay a whole lot better with their attitude and smiles.

Location, facilities, staff, service, food, drinks… great. Specifically know the tour guides as they provide guests unforgettable impressions and memories in impressive nature. Hopefully we come here again.

I am working there from 2009 till date this is the best lodge especially the white army the kitchen staff cook l like them when there dancing…

Stayed here with the extended family for Mum's 60th birthday and mine. It's true the staff did sing and make a great festival of the special dates. Son and cousins loved the pool, great to lazy during the day. Game drives were rewarding esp. For the small ones. You could see glitter in their eyes. Food and service was superb! Surely would recommend it and wish to go back again.

Hidden gem in Maasai Mara with overwhelming location and excellent service! My wife and I spent four nights at this amazing camp during our Kenya holiday. The location is overwhelming! The tents are luxurious (see my attached images) and they face the Mara River so at night you can hear the hippos with their low braying. Not to worry, there is an electrified security fence around the camp. The food was great and we were in good hands with the staff — they were all very attentive. The game drives from here are stunning. The Maasai Mara is just spectacular. At my 50-years birthday the staff was singing, dancing and banging drums and pots and pans and they brought out a lovely cake to the tune of 'Jambo'. It was a very special experience :-) We also had a fantastic bush breakfast the last morning. We sat in the middle of the Maasai Mara having a lovely breakfast with champagne (see my image)! Unbelievable! We also try a hot air balloon safari with champagne breakfast — highly recommended! Wifi could be better, but this is the middle of a national park… The staff does an excellent job of giving you an authentic experience while leaving no comfort detail overlooked. The rooms are clean and the staff extremely friendly! We loved this place! Stunning surroundings, lovely people and gorgeous food. Highly recommended! Regards Svein-Magne Tunli from Bergen, Norway.

Stayed in 2011 and again this year 2012 and found the camp, staff and accommodation living up to it's 5 star rating. I would recommend the Ashnil Mara Camp to any adventure seeking person who enjoys the African wild life combined with a 5 star luxury that rates 10/10.
