The Mavvel Hotel Embu

It has very nice, clean and spacious rooms. The smell of the fragrance in the rooms is just outstandingly great and sweet. The service is good too. Its has nice and large parking with security. It also houses a swimming pool and a gym, conventional rooms for meetings and gatherings. It's located along the Meru-Nairobi highway.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The sink in my room was blocked from the start, which was extremely inconvenient and unhygienic. Despite reporting the issue, it was not properly resolved during my stay in room 402.
The breakfast was also very poor in both quality and variety. For the price paid, I expected much better standards.
What was most frustrating was the lack of response from management. After sharing my concerns with both the F&B Manager and the hotel manager, no meaningful action was taken. There was no follow-up, no apology, and no effort to improve the situation, and not even a small discount offered despite the inconvenience caused.
Overall, this hotel did not offer value for money. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

Great location to break the journey en route to Nairobi after a long day on Mt Kenya. Friendly staff all round, and in particular the receptionists. The downsides: our dinner took too long to prepare, and bed bugs in one of the rooms.

I loved the place, luxury looking very clean hotel with clean workers and very well arranged hotel, cocktail, food was 10/10. Looking for a place around embu to take your family and friends try mavvel my experience was just tryit.

Had a solo birthday party there and they made my day super, more than I imagined 🥹♥️. From the ambience of it, their services, food, drinks name them, all on point👌. Definitely this is a place I'll consider for a revisit.

The service here was satisfactory from Yvoone the hostess to the wait staff. My friend and I enjoyed the pasta we ordered.

Classy, spacious, comfy and modern facilities. Very clean. Meal setup great, great food, staff very friendly and professional.

I love the meals served at the restaurant, the service is good and the rooms are good too if you need undisturbed rest.

Loved the swimming pool, music systems at the pool and the cuisine served. The room lighting is top notch.
Great conference rooms. There is need to increase efficiency in conference rooms, especially Kilimanjaro (accessing sockets which are only in the extreme sides, no sockets in the central pillars).

The meals a are good. Order early for a la carte it took an hour to prepare.

Food is kinda boring with no variety.
Lots of noise at night when there are events you cannot sleep peacefully.

This is the jewel in the country side.
Hailing from humble beginnings to a modern style marvel of aura, this is truly the place to be.

The hotel is easily accessible and have excellent customer service coupled with freshly prepared food. I enjoyed eating their pepper steak with ugali ya wimbl. The breakfast is also 👌

It was my for time there yesterday and I loved it there. Beautiful beautiful place, exelent customer service — one of the best I have ever had, friendly pple, very clean and lemme not get started on affordable. I wish I knew this place earlier!

Mavvel Hotel Embu is located at Mutunduri past Gakwegori it's on the right side when moving from embu town and left side when moving from Mutunduri town along Meru Embu Nairobi highway, security is well organised and services are very wanting loved the place 👌

Loved it 💯💯Quality sleep, quality stay, good staff as well ❤️❤️ It's a place I would highly recommend to anyone ❤️❤️
