This hôtel is the worst hôtel I ever stayed in. I have never seen such incompetence coming from every side. They really ruines out holidays. Stay as far as you possibly can. There are so many other incredible places To stay in Diani.

We arrived to the hotel yesterday, the place is very nice.
But!
The water in the shower were brown, and no hot water.
Guests aren’t wearing masks in general in the hotel but especially during meals while taking food from the buffet.
No one from the hotel staff isn’t enforcing Covid19 rules.
Not the best experience!

The perfect holiday destination. I enjoyed to the maximum every service offered by you guys. From the amazing buffet meals, to excellent room service, the swimming pool, beautiful gardens, amazing spa services and gym… I long to be back soon!

Great views, friendly staff and great food. The spa services could however do with some improvement. I’d rate the spa experience 5/10. Rooms could also do with a makeover as well as age is showing. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Diani Reef hotel and hope to come back soon.

Just here and the Hotel is to be recommended. Very friendly staff, lovely rooms and super food. Smaller sites way gemachtv be due to the super atmosphere here.

Bad hotel, old rooms, can’t invite a friend to visit you without charging you. Very poor service.

The meals were delicious and the service was the greatest. Very concerned staff and well mannered.

My son got married here a couple of weeks ago. It is a fabulous place with attentive staff and wonderful facilities. The food was variable but I always managed to find something appetising and delicious. Watch out for the monkeys — when they tell you to close the doors to the balcony, believe them!

Awesome, Awesome, AWESOME. I just returned from there after spending 4 days with my family and we had a great experience. The meals were tasty, especially the coastal and Indian cuisines. I loved the fresh passion juice (I shamelessly took 3 glasses every morning). The 4'clock tea by the beach was also my favourite moments, the kaimati and pancakes were so nyummy. I found the staff to be friendly too. They took time to engage my daughter, also none passes you without greetings, even the janitors. I had seen a review on dirty pool but it was clean the whole time while I was there, the rooms too were cleaned well and everything arranged neatly. It's a very kids friendly venue, they have ladies who can look after your kid in the play room as you do your stuff. The place is simply amazing just as the 360 video shows, it's a place you are assured of complete relaxation. I will definitely return.

I wish I could post the current pictures of the hotel. Unfortunately, the place is totally run down. The only thing we enjoyed was the food (definitely have some great food) and the beach. For a person that’s travelled and been to different hotels, This is a 2 start hotel. Probly even 1 star. Not sure how the other give it a five star. I’d advice anyone to save their money. They would do great if they renovated the place.

Lovely place to stay, near to shops, restaurants and a nice Tiki bar too. Great for single travellers. The staff are incredibly helpful too. I'd avoid the spa though as I felt they didn't really know what they were doing.

We loved it. Best staff ever! I can't name them all but big thanks from us for everything. And next time I don't want excuses that there is no Tusker, just get it somewhere :-) … can't wait.

This is one point in the entire coast you can't afford to miss. I loved everything about the place; reception, rooms, good, services, entertainment (guests are fully involved in this) and the clean beach just to mention but a few. Interaction among guests highly facilitated here iregardles of race or tribe.

Best place to take a holiday and relax in South Coast Kenya. White Sandy beaches. Good African food.

The place itself was nice, was there on a wedding but unfortunately the food experience was bad. All my family got food poison which made our stay not comfortable at all. There was no water at night and once we called the reception they told us that who even showers at 2am considering that the wedding party just finished at that time. The Wi-Fi was down most of the time and the service was horrible. The 2star rating is really just for the look of the hotel as the service they provide is not up to the standard at all.

Above and beyond Get the half board or full board. You will not regret it. Had this seared red snapper for dinner on the last night, couldn't find same equality anywhere else. Not even at Tamarind. The spices were in perfect harmony.

The show time team is just amazing very energetic and involves the crowd too, I would give 5stars for them. Apart from that the food just basic, on the tidyness an average rating would do Overall it's a good destination.

The beach is very nice. The hotel is a bit old but it is still nice. There is a club for kids and even a cinema for the kids. These things are highly counter balanced by serious lacks in the management. We had to argue with them on nearly everything. Did not get us the right réservation, andthe thing we paid for. The rooms were so much dirty, we had to give them back for cleaning (not check before to give them to us) … The prices were never the same, and subject to change even after agreements… What save them from 1 star? We did new year eve there, and it was really great evening, well organized and well done.

When you arrive at the hotel, the first impression is good, the setting is nice: swimming pool, beach, palm trees… and unfortunately it stops there! The rooms are dirty: floor, linens, baths, sheets. The location of The Hotel is very good. Every Day for 6 days we had problems: Bill errors, consumption errors, room problem, noise problem, no towels available at the pool except by booking it at 7am, we waited 6 hours to have a cot (going to complain by 4 times at the reception). This Hotel is not worthy of a 5 star as advertised on some sites, no more than 3. The staff during this holiday period was overwhelmed and not very pleasant. The only good thing is the meals but perhaps related to the end of the year holidays. Not formally advisable. The location

Basic food. Slow staff. Out of date. Beach is nice.

Not worth a 5 star rating. The bathrooms are small and squeezed. The towels are stained… no longer white. Forks and spoons have accumulated rust. The hotel should invest in stainless steel utensils which don't rust. The waiters look generally exhausted and not very welcoming. Customer service is not good at all.

Diani Reef Beach Resort is the best place you can ever go for your holiday. It has the best beach in the world! Beautiful white strip! Book and get the best rate for new years.

Love it. The food is to die for. The pool water games great! The evening activities entertaining. The scenic breathtaking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will visit again and again.

One of the places any person wish to visit. Its really amazing and composition of people with good hospitality.

Most important is that the staff are understanding of the overwhelming challenges the hotel faces, from packages with a lot of exclusions to the limited variety in terms of food. The hotel is in need of a face lift, quality of food really wanting esp the buffet only savior is a la carte menu. Management should really think of creating & marketing all inclusive packages, it’s really getting thrashed by it’s competitors at this end. The kids zone is well thought out & a plus for the hotel. Close proximity to amenities such as a hospital & shopping centers is a plus. Overall there’s a lot to be done for the hotel to compete with the likes of leopard beach.

Diani reef is a nice luxurious place to go on holiday in Mombasa it has tasty food, a nice beach, heated pools and cozy beds I recommend you to go to this hotel cause I thought it was wonderful spending my time there.

Staying in this hotel is a vacation in the style of bounty. Decent service, decent kitchen, at 16 o'clock in the beach bar serves pancakes with tea. There are 3 types of monkeys living on the territory. The rooms are slightly tired. If you like solitude and exotics, then you are here.

Great location, but the hotel is in great need of renovation. The breakfast is not good, but the dinner does a lot good again.

Awesome place, great spar, clean white soft beach sand great meals and very affordable. Friendly environment and great management team also. It's a pretty old place still well kept for its age. Also got facility for wheelchair.

It is the place to be, having been rated the best Resort and Spa in Africa. It is also located at the best beach in Africa, the Diani Beach.

Absolutely amazing place, we loved it people so friendly food was to die for,, even African special. (chicken foot) went on the best safari just me, partner and driver who said we were blessed due to how many animals we saw in a day dunno about that,, lol. Loved all about this place only downside was beach dwellers bug you,, and dead reef (mostly) but conservation program was happening. But hotel and staff were amazing,, didn't want to leave and they all cried when we did xxx.

Beautiful place to stay. Breathtaking Ocean. Very nice personell and in my opinion very good food. Nevertheless europeans should lower their expectations concerning the rooms. You're in africa, and for african standards it is perfect. Everything is "hakuna matata" there but very "pole pole". Perfect for slowing down your life :).

Had the best experience. Great customer service, quick response to queries, great food, tight security, clean beach, massage for a fee (steep), water activities in the pool daily, entertaining every evening. Much more.

The hotel itself is beautiful! The beach. Breathtaking! The food. Blah! I expected better! I hated that the jacuzzi in the rooms didn't work. The shower barely had any pressure, the towels were old and rough! But the worst. Was being told that men couldn't have dinner while in shorts! While I respect that some form of decency must be observed for the comfort of all diners. We were on holiday. At the beach. For crying out loud! They also don't allow food to be taken to the room! As a beach resort, the least they could do is then designate a place where one can sit and eat while dressed as they feel.
