Staying at Treetops Lodge was absolutely incredible! The highlight was definitely being able to watch the amazing wildlife right from the lodge itself—it felt truly magical to observe nature so up close. On top of that, the staff made our stay extra special. Everyone was remarkably friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
If you are traveling to Kenya, this place is a must-visit.
Highly recommended!
My wife and I stayed here for one night during our honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience!
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted with cool towels and a refreshing fruit drink. Peter at reception checked us in with exceptional warmth. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our entire stay—thank you, Peter!
We stayed in room 35 on the third floor, overlooking the watering hole and salt licks. Beyond the spectacular room view, the lodge offers 360-degree views via the outdoor viewing deck and large windows on every floor.
We were fortunate to spot elephants, water buffalo, colobus monkeys, warthogs, giant forest hogs, waterbucks, rock hyraxes, and vibrant birdlife. We even witnessed a pack of hyenas hunting early in the morning! The optional in-room wildlife buzzer is a brilliant feature that alerts you to animal sightings while you sleep.
We also joined Paul for a perimeter nature walk. He taught us about local Kenyan culture and wildlife, and even managed to get two introverted Brits singing along! It is an affordable activity that we highly recommend.
The buffet-style meals offered a great variety of hot and cold dishes, with faultless food and service throughout. To top it off, the staff surprised us at dinner with singing, dancing, and a delicious cake for our honeymoon.
The team at Treetops continuously went above and beyond. Whether visiting for leisure or a special occasion, Treetops is a must. We will certainly return!

Worst customer service in all of Kenya.
Our party brought up a reasonable issue about mosquitos and we requested mosquito repellent. The front desk staff said "there are no mosquitoes". We said ok.
While we were walking up to our rooms, we were immediately bite by a mosquito. We went back to the front desk, showed the staff who proudly claimed there are "no mosquitos", and their response was "No, no, there are no mosquitos" whilw there was a dead mosquitos right in our hand.
What followed was 15 minutes of escalation where the day manager, and general manger of the property came over to gaslight us into thinking the mosquito in our hand did not exist, and repeatedly again claimed there are no mosquitoes.
The staff was not only rude, they were laughing at us, mocking us, and denigrating us, just because we asked for mosquito repellent.
I do not know how hotel staff could be so rude, arrogant, and condescending. Never come to this hotel.
