An absolutely fantastic camp. The tents are superb with plenty of room, spacious bathrooms and the most amazing plunge pools on the deck. Sometimes the elephants will come along and drink out of the plunge pools whilst you are in it! The food is very good indeed and the bar is reasonably priced given its out of the way location. The camp is good for families as they can put extra beds into the tents. The tent to avoid is number 4 as it is next to the kitchens which as, obviously, noisy. Overall, you will have an amazing time there.

The location of the camp is utterly amazing, as it lies right on the river in the heart of the Samburu National Reserve. It was easy to find with GPS. The staff was helpful and friendly, starting with checking in. The camp is simple, which is part of what makes it wonderful. The dining area doubles as a lounging deck and bar. There are 12 tents altogether, each with a neat little plunge pool on the deck — — which was great for my kids! Breakfast and lunch are served at tables down by the river, which makes for an intimate experience. We were even evacuated from our table one time because an elephant came walking through. There were also elephants that frequented us at our tent. The security guards take their jobs seriously and keep you away from animals that might cause harm. One of our only complaints is that a tour bus pulled into the camp one afternoon and about 40 individuals flooded the bar and deck where my family was relaxing peacefully in the middle of the afternoon. It was incredibly annoying that they allowed this to happen, since we paid a lot for the booking and these people had paid nothing — — and they were ruining our intimate atmosphere. My biggest compliment is regarding James and Anthony, two of the staff members. They were both very genuine and sincere, and they made our family feel very welcome — — both at the camp and on our game drives. Anthony was a fantastic driver and we loved our safaris with him!

What an amazing place! The 'tents' are technically that, but with running water. It really is an elephant camp, in that a family of elephants also lives there. You will hear them at night as they forage for food. During the day you may have to leave your table for a little while as they pass by the dining area (which is on the 'beach' by the river). The food, though not traditional Kenyan, has been excellent throughout. The staff, and in particular our Safari guide, Anthony, have been warm, welcoming, and expert in their knowledge of the area. Downsides? Nothing g Elephant Bedroom Camp is responsible for — — you have to accept the insects, and the sand as you walk to your tent (depending on where your tent is) can result in a daily ritual of emptying the sand from your footwear. Again, that is nature, and they cannot detract from the wonderful experience of this place.

Absolutely amazing. Great accommodations. Clean. Well appointed. As a travel agent has no hesitation in booking. The owner is great and is good to the employees so they are happy and the guests are happy. Works with them and they are wonderful. Ask for George. Great camp.

It is surely elephant's area, you never miss one there!

This place is amazing beyond description. On the banks of the river where all forms of wildlife are drawn to the water. Elephants in the camp during all hours searching for delights from the trees that form a canopy over the camp. Lovely accommodations and awesome people to ensure your stay is terrific.

Lovely place to stay if you can afford it. Great food, and very few people to be seen in the park itself. Certainly glamping, but an experience none the less.

Glamping at its best. To sleep under canvas and be woken up by lions roaring was unforgettable.
