Sea Star Boutique Hotel

A mini-hotel with 6 rooms, if I'm not mistaken. It's located in the Medeu district, close to the mountains. Nearby are Dostyk Plaza, the Almaty terrain path, mini-markets, coffee shops, and restaurants. It's a 7-minute walk to the Kazakhstan Hotel, 15 minutes to Republic Square, and a 30-minute walk to the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park, and from there, the Green Bazaar is just a stone's throw away. Bus number 12, which goes to the Medeu cable car, stops across the street.
The room has new furniture, a TV (which I didn't use), a mini-fridge, a hairdryer, dental kit, soap, gel, shampoo, a tea area, a microwave, cutlery, air conditioning, robes, and slippers. However, the room is very small, with no free space, so being alone was fine. I arrived at 6 a. M. And couldn't get through to the staff on any of the numbers to open the door and check me in. The mini-hotel's doorbell didn't work, and it took about 20 minutes for a staff member to come out.
Since it's only on one floor, the hallway is extremely noisy from early morning until late evening. It's impossible to sleep after long walks in the mountains; I only needed earplugs; there's no soundproofing. I had to ask the staff to be quieter.

Convenient location.
The cleaning in the room leaves much to be desired. During a week of stay, they didn't even vacuum it once… if they hadn't put up a sign saying "cleaning needed" and the trash wouldn't have been thrown out. The dispensers in the shower were empty. Water and tea were never added during the week. The table was dirty from the start… in general, the main complaint is about the cleaning and the little things. Also keep in mind that you need to go up two small stairs with your suitcases. There is no elevator.

Very convenient location, great staff, clean room.
