The location of Arbat Hostel is very good because it is right in the city center. As soon as you walk outside, you have plenty of shops, cafés, and the famous Arbat street nearby.
The only downside is that the hostel is quite difficult to find, especially for the first time. There are not many signs, so you really need to check the exact street number — 103. The hostel is located inside a residential complex with three different entrance gates from different sides. We actually had to wait for someone to leave the building so we could get inside. Then we were walking around a bit confused because we did not know which floor or direction to go, but luckily we finally found it.
Once we arrived, we were welcomed by a very kind woman at the reception who runs the hostel together with her husband. The hostel itself is very basic, but it has everything you need — hot water, Wi-Fi, and a bed to sleep in. You can also buy drinks there. Payment is in cash.
For the price, the conditions are absolutely fair and there is really nothing major to complain about.
