Mohammed Mutlak Camp

You should stay here— especially in the winter. I was only one of a few guests at the camp due to it being the winter season, but I can say service didn't suffer one bit for it. The staff was all extremely kind and professional (Especially Yusuf and Salem), the food was plentiful and hardy, and the location was, as goes without saying, out of this world (and the cooler season made it much more comfortable! ) All-around a great experience.

We spent one night in the camp and enjoyed everything — the local food, service (very nice people! ), a ride on camels. The accommodation was as good as it can be in these conditions. I apreciated the warm blankets. 😀

We had a wonderful stay. Salem and his team are very caring and welcoming hosts. The food is fresh and great. We learned a lot about camel racing and shisha. We didn't want to leave. Shukran.

A very relaxed camp located in the middle of the 'Wadi Rum — Protected Area', with very friendly hosts and employees.
You‘ll experience the traditional Bedouin dish Zarb and tea around the fire.
Tents are very cozy and service is fantastic.

Lovely camp with the best hospitality and great Jordanian food! You can organize all tours through them; camels, jeep tour, sunset, etc. Some include food and accommodation, and you are always welcomed back into camp with Bedouin tea. Thank you, Yusuf and Salem for the great stay!

Such a beautiful experience and wonderful camp. Admin was professional and the transparency in pricing and organizing tours. The food was phenomenal. It was so peaceful just to be here in nature. Friendly staffs and the owner is very kind. I feel at home and welcome.

Nice camp, very basic but runned with love. Staff was kind and professional, meals were really good. There was an interesting travelers' vibe, which is nice when you are traveling solo! They were also quite flexible in organizing my jeep tour, and perfectly on time picking me up from the visitor center. Totally safe for a woman traveling alone.
If you do few steps you have a wonderful view on the desert.

Tents and beds are super comfortable. Food was cooked underground in a traditional oven. Great tours. Stars are stellar.

Absoloutly amazing camp! The location, people, service and everthing was superb plus they have Star link for amazing signal. Be sure to lay next to the fire in the evening watching the stars and astroids. The food was perfect, and listen to the desert come alive after dark, from this camp I could hear the howls of animals deep in the desert, the peacefulness of being among mountains and the history from the foods which were made for us. I will be returning, thankyou for all the amazing experience.

Really enjoyed my time at the camp, the staff are very friendly and helpful, but they don't constantly hassle you to go do things if you don't want to, they let you go at your own pace and if you want to do any tours or activities, they'll definitely help! I did a 4 hour jeep tour around Wadi Rum which was really fun and definitely worth the price! The dinner served in the evening was cooked underground which was a great experience and the camp is located in a very peaceful part of Wadi Rum with great views of the sunset at night. I will definitely stay here again when I come back!

Amazing experience! I highly recommend this camp in Wadi Rum. It is very well located in the heart of the desert, the food is delicious, the facilities are always clean, and the team gives everyone the best vibe!

There's so many desert camps to choose from but I chose this based on an easy to navigate website and the price. I booked a half day tour and one night stay. The tour included all the same sites as the other companies so there's nothing different there. My guide and driver were the same person and I found him to be just okay. I didn't get a lot of information from him and instead it was more of a drive to a spot, walk around for 5 minutes, and take pictures then off to the next site.
The camp itself is nice. I was surprised by how clean the bathroom was. The beds were comfy but I think the room could use a side table or something to put your stuff on. It was a cold evening but plenty of blankets to keep me warm. Lots of food and I found it to be delicous. There was no campfire however. No storytelling or information on bedioun life. I was fine with that since everyone was pretty tired and went to bed early. The view from the campsite was also nice but just know that none of the tents have "sweeping views" of the rock formations or the whole desert since the camp is situated in a bowl where rock walls are blocking views. So you'd have to walk up about a few mins to any viewpoints. See my video of what the camp looks like.
Overall it was an okay stay. Nothing amazing but I'm glad I experienced staying in the desert.

Mohammed Mutlak camp provided me and my wife an excellent experience in Wadi Rum. All the staff were extremely friendly, fun and accommodating. We truly felt at home, with our guide Murad and the camp staff, including Marwan and Salih. The camp is in a beautiful location, that provides an excellent view of the sunrise and sunset. The food they provided was delicious, the tents, bathrooms and facilities all very clean and comfortable. We loved our experience, and hope to come back again soon. Thanks again to the whole Mohammed Mutlak team!

I have mixed reviews for this camp.
The reviews online make the camp seem so friendly and well-managed. I think perhaps this is true in upper management (as the booking process was very good).
We loved the food, loved the planning/organisation of booking and communication.
We arrived at 10 am and then sat around a camp for the entire afternoon. I advise anyone coming to the camp to ask them to plan something for you the first day. We had a "picnic" and transfer to the camp in the itinerary. I thought this would be a bigger deal than it was. We had a 20 minute ride into the camp, and they got us some salads to eat at the camp. It is a very hot desert to sit around in with little to do. We had them take us for a little walk about 4 pm which was interesting.
However, at the camp the manager changed daily, the men’s bathroom smells very bad, the rooms had a lot of mosquitos and are very close together. I have suggested they leave some mosquitor repellent in the rooms for others.
We had some very noisy teenage girls at the camp the first night. However, I can happily say the staff tell me they banned them from returning. An example of miscommunication with management is that the morning after we asked to move to another tent. We were told the girls would be moved for the next night. Then that manager left the camp. When we returned from our day out, the girls had not been moved. We then had to ask again and we happily changed tents, as the young girls had not been asked to move.

We loved our stay in Wadi Rum at Mohammed Mutlak Camp. The location deep into the desert is beautiful. Yussef was our chef and host and was amazing. Ali, our guide, was incredible with added stops and stories of growing up in Wadi Rum. Highly recommend.

The experience in wadi rum was amazing with all the team of Mohammed camp!
Very welcoming, good knowledgeable about the desert.
We explored in the jeep the dessert visiting the highlights, for lunch we good an amazing delicious meal and we had time for a little rest as it was hot.
Dinner and breakfast were very good, very abundant food and delicious, nice to try traditional home made meals.
We also did a camel ride to see the sunset and it’s a cool experience! As well as some sand boarding during the tour.
