Stayed in this inn for 1 night with our 2 kids. Our tatami room is spacious, clean and has very pretty view. The staff is so kind and helpful. When we first came, we were greeted by a senior male staff. He's so friendly, accompanied us to check in and offered a playroom for our kids. There's a minimarket and Japanese style bathroom on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor is the tourist information center, inn's reception, activity rooms (free calligraphy, origami, cosplay activities and paid Japanese green tea ceremony), praying room and lounge area. 3rd and 4th floors are the inn's rooms. I definitely recommend to stay here while in Nara. Good choice!

A bit far from the station, but great for any convenience a traveler needs! Even the japan-style public bathroom, if you want to try the experience. Near the temple park. Highly recommended!

They offer a variety of free activities such as origami, calligraphy, chopstick techniques, and cosplay options. The staff there are extremely friendly and helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Jay who gave us helpful advice on what to see and patiently showed us how to fold a deer. He was very humours and spoke near perfect English. If you are in Nara, definitely stop by the visitor centre for a bonus experience!

Lovely staff and great location to start the tourist route via the 5 storey pagoda to the great Budddha. Dont miss a visit to the Treasure hall and a view of the Buddha protector Ashura.

The visitor center is a great stop for any tourist. The extremely friendly staff will give you insider tips on places to go that most tourists will miss. If you need an afternoon break, this is also a great place to stop in, rest your feet, and fold some origami deer.

Great convenient location and very comfortable. Would recommend. We had our own restroom so did not use public bath. Convenience store under the inn is open late and had lots of good snacks, souvenirs, coffee, etc. Had a balcony with a beautiful view of the lake and tower. 15 minute walk to JR station.

If you’re staying in Nara, stay here. It was really lovely! Super clean, fantastic view from our room and close to all the bits of Nara you want to see. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Excellent place, the rooms are clean and they offer you pajamas, there is laundry and bath with steam. Also the location is excellent, very central to go to all points of interest walking, plus restaurants and our room had lake view. The service is very good and the attention excellent, it is a perfect place to stay in Nara!

Mr. J of the Visitor Center made me discover the most Japanese of hostels, at Madam Acosta, where he lunches lunch and sometimes in the evening (as he did with me).
The 2 Geickos (Gueishas of the Kansai) were in town attire and they were cooking but the pictures were a testament to their art.
Everyone gave me the information I needed. I had a tourist map of Nara in French.
The Wi-Fi is powerful, 30s to send 20 photos, this is where you have to come first.

Cheap and nice. The downstairs is the convenience store, which is very close to Nara Park. Staff's service is also very good.

Superb services. Traditional style with new bathroom. Convenient store on ground floor. Highly recommend when in Nara.

Hotel in Gaijin quite nice, cheap at all for the services offered, well located and with a very nice view according to the position of the room (for me it is ideal), room which otherwise is very cute and super well equipped. There is even a small public bath in the basement of the hotel. Then why a star less? The insulation is very bad and the people around me relatively without genes were making a lot of noise. Too bad because the staff is charming. Still I recommend for a short stay in Nara.

Great view & service. Walking distance to Nara Kintetsu railway, shopping street, supermarket, restaurants.

A visitor center indeed. Staff able to converse in Japanese, English and Mandarin. Tried on their costume for photos. Place very near to Deer park. Stayed on Room301, and we're able to see deer roaming around that area. Pleasant stay.

Very clean and affordable. Lots of great information about the city of Nara. Close to the temples, shopping and restaurants. The onsen opened at 5pm. No parking but there were many 24 hour pay parking lots around the inn.

Recommended to the visitors to play Nara! Price One person a day about 900 NT dollars. Near the Nara Park, museum, Fuxing Temple, Spring Daris, Todaiji and so on. Not far from Nara near rail station, it is a good choice.

Went to the visitor centre for maps of the area. The staff are great. They are friendly and welcoming, sharing personal stories and recommendations. Very enthusiastic and passionate about Nara. You will spend more time in the visitor centre than you expect.

Amazing custoner service right when we checked-in the rooms are really nice! The hotel is very close to the station and information centre is in the hotel aswell. We will definitely come back here for another visit.

Amazing centre and hotel. The staff there are excellent. Very helpful and friendly and ready to share with you Japanese culture. They also speak a variety of languages. The facility is extremely clean and new at the time of writing this review. There is laundry facilities and a convenience store on site. It is in the best location possible being close to Kofuku-ji, Todai-ji and Nara Park (deer park). The hotel is definitely only geared towards foreigners.

Recommend to visit! All necessary info, additional stamp for your collection (if you like to collect stamps in your notebook). Free access to internet from their PC. They kindly charged my phone too. Sometimes they organize free workshops/events, but last time I visit they made something you need to pay for.

Lovely visitor centre with super friendly staff and on different days offer a range of activities for foreign tourists. Including origami and chopstick racing. Great place for a rest, hot tea and a warm welcome.

Really really exceptional. Fantastic location, brand new facility within the tourist office. Room with a view of the park, not far from the main attraction of The city with its fallow deer, and religious buildings, majestic). The hotel offers an endless range of services: the hand (level road side of the park) there is a very useful mini market and japanese baths included in the price of the room; the first floor is the reception (also an atm from which you can withdraw with foreign cards) and the tourist office which from the rental of the bikes in the course of origami offers a wide range of services. Rooms on the third and fourth (top) floor where there are computer rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Our room japanese-style (very beautiful) with a private bathroom and a small terrace where you have the magnificent pagoda in the foreground. A dream. Only drawback: in the room there is a hair dryer.

Perfectly located in the heart of the beautiful city of Nara, this is such a comfortable and welcoming place that in no time you feel totally at home. Thanks Kenji for the part you've played in making our time in Japan so good.

Excellent location beside reasonable priced parking and walking distance to many tourist attractions.

Elegant, located in the hillside, the main building is the history of the 1907 building, layout drawing Western and retro interior design gives a feeling back 100 years ago, a different hotel experience. The room was quiet, in the Nara Park on the edge.

The best hotel ever in my life and this world. The value from its heritage and history is much higher than the word 'LUXURY'. Perfect condition for all facilities and great breakfast you can also enjoy. Of course it is more expensive than others in town but it is worth to afford it. Will definitely stay here again.

This place is the best! Great location, 15 min walk to todaiji temple, 2 min walk to kinetsu nara station, right in the middle of the shopping street. Clean guesthouse with all the necessary amenities provided. Wonderful owner (Mr Kenji) who is so hospitable and prepares the best breakfast!
