This is a very popular inn that is difficult to book. Kasumi crab and Matsuba crab are selected depending on the month and served as part of a course meal. The crab is incredibly sweet whether served as sashimi, grilled, or boiled, and the hotpot has a great broth, making the rice porridge at the end of the meal exquisite. The crab is carefully cut with a knife to make it easy to eat, allowing you to quickly separate the meat and enjoy the delicious meal.
The staff are also very friendly and have a lovely smile!
Making a reservation requires the energy and patience to spend an entire day on the phone, but we highly recommend staying at this inn and enjoying the best crab possible! You'll definitely leave satisfied and with a smile on your face!

We wanted to relax and eat our fill of crab before our baby was born, so we went three days after the crab season opened. The two-serving course was so satisfying I'll never want to eat crab again. 🦀
We stayed in the "Hanaikada" room. It was clean and spacious, but a little disappointing that the room didn't have a hot spring bath. However, there was a large hot spring bath that was open all night. 👍🏽
The landlady and young landlady were there, and their warm hospitality was impressive. ○
I'd love to go back next season.

Kasumi is known for its strong image of crab, but we chose blackthroat seaperch as our main dish. Even the locals said it was hard to eat, but we each enjoyed two well-formed blackthroat seaperch, served as sashimi and grilled with salt. We also had a sashimi platter of red snow crab, squid, shrimp, filefish, and other sashimi. We were stuffed to the brim with boiled red snow crab, and other dishes.
The smiles and hospitality of the landlady and all the other staff were wonderful. This is an inn we'd like to visit again during squid season.

Judging by the reviews, this is no ordinary inn.
First of all, there's the crab. And not just crab. From white squid to blackthroat seaperch and even Tajima beef. Everything is hailed as "absolutely delicious. "
The crab in particular has received rave reviews, with people calling it "enormous in quantity" and "of superb quality. " It's impressive that they've even skimped on the homemade pickled plums.
And then there's the people. Everyone, from the landlady on down, has been described as "kind, " "polite, " and "extremely thoughtful. " Handwritten menus, rental aromatherapy, and all-inclusive drinks. Their attention to detail is unparalleled.
The rooms and baths are clean, creating a truly relaxing space.
Overall, all guests who've stayed unanimously agree that they want to come back.

I booked a stay at this inn through Ikyu. Com with a plan that included white squid.
It's been 10 years since my last stay in Kasumi, and the atmosphere hasn't changed much.
This inn is small, but everything from the lobby to the dining area and public bath is clean. I particularly enjoyed the scent of rush grass when I entered the room, which I haven't felt in a long time (I've only been staying at cheap inns lately 😂).
The only thing that's not quite right is that the space between the toilet and the door in the unit bath is too narrow. (It feels so cramped that if my wife isn't there, I want to open the door and add more water. )
The food was exquisite, from the tableware to the elaborate dishes, and I was very satisfied with everything. The white squid eaten with salt is exquisite.
I was also very satisfied with the variety and quality of the breakfast.
Studless tires are a must in the winter, but I'd love to go back just to try the Matsuba crab.
I think this hot spring resort offers better value for money than Kinosaki.
