On a small island like Taketomi it's better to manage the expectations. In the morning the hostel rooms are warmer than the hallway but they are cool enough in the evenings.

Very clean hostel with great staff. Socialising time with the other guests and the staff at night and stargazing on the beach was an unforgettable experience.

I stayed here two times during my stay in Okinawa, and I liked it very much. The staff is very nice, speaks fluent English and will help you with any kind of questions.

Positive : Easy access from the airport, there is a bus (until around 20h) and train lines. It’s really easy to find. The office is available until 23:00 which is convenient for late check-in.

Pretty good for solo trip. The rooms/beds/bathrooms/showers are very clean which I loved. All the staff are very friendly and attentive.

The rooms are really good just too crowded. Anyways people do respect the rules and they don’t make a lot of noise after 9pm. There is a locker and bathroom space separate so people don’t disturb.

Pretty comfortable stay for a night for Naha marathon. The place comes with free use of onsen + sauna. Comfy pajamas/inhouse wear are provided. Also free soft drinks, tea (both hot and cold), water.

Clean and quiet hotel even though the room was small but the price was valuable, staffs were friendly, location is about 6 minutes walk to the train station! Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always welcoming throughout our stay.

Amazing service, and great room for the price. The couple is so sweet, they even drove me to the ferry port.
For about 5000 yen a night, you simply cant go wrong with this place.

I stayed at Aien Hostel for a full month, and it truly became a place I’ll always remember.

While I’ve never actually stayed in the Hostel, Aien is my go-to working lunch order on Uber Eats! I almost always go with the Quinoa and Fruit Salad, Chicken Tacos and Chai Latte.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and love it every time. Very cute Brooklyn style decor, bouldering wall, pool table, kitchen, lots of cute working areas, etc. Comfy rooms. Lovely staff.

This hostel really surprised us! Despite the special interior it felt very cozy. The bed was comfortable and location superb. There is even a bar where you can meet the locals!

I stayed at the women dorm for 9 nights. Really enjoyed my time there. The location is perfect, near Makishi train station, convenience stores, Aeon Maxvalu, etc.

A very good experience in a quiet hostel located to a great place of Naha, very near to Hokusai Dori and monorail station, easy for reach the airport and ferry.

Warm friendly host with super clean rooms and beautifuly decorated house. Felt like being in a hotel with hostel prices. Super close to the beach.

Place to be in Yomitan whether you're by yourself or a couple. The house itself is great and the location couldn't be better. It's a super quiet area with a beautiful view on the ocean.

Host was really welcoming. He informed me about the nearest restaurant and shops and gave me a ride to the bus station on my departure!

I like this place! The location is pretty good quiet, and they even have bicycles for rent. The bed is quite big, and the owner is friendly and kind.

The hostel is perfectly designed for solo travelers. It is extroverted, the rooms are close to one another, and it is often noisy… but that is what makes it enjoyable.

Ishigaki Guesthouse Hive is really amazing! The people are extremely friendly. And contrary to other peoples reviews: it is not difficult to find. There are signs to lead the way. It was very easy.

This is the one and only guesthouse in Kohama, which actually has a very comfortable bed and friendly staffs.

The owner was very happy to greet me, she ensured I have the utmost respect comfort at the accommodation. I was guided to shortest path to the beach access.

I had the most comfortable sleep in a very long time in this guesthouse run by a lovely family. Highly recommend, it was a very peaceful stay.

Megami and her family were extremely hospitable and helpful. The Japanese-style room was very comfortable, with a cosy mattress.

I had a lovely time here with my friends, it was clean and peaceful and we enjoyed the central location.

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Convenient location. Great value for money. We only stayed one night but I would definitely recommend it. It has everything you need.

Rooms and common areas aren’t as pretty as the lobby but they’re fairly clean & comfy. Great value, and an opportunity to meet some nice people if you’re lucky.

We had a sandwich and tea here. They were great. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the free Wi-Fi. 😀

This is my first (in 73 years) stay in a hostel. Because of the welcoming environment and wonderfull people (guests and staff) I will make hostels my first choice in the future.

Curry was deliciously spiced and the atmosphere was quite warm and pleasant. Price was also very reasonable.

Prefect for intimate conversations. Each dinner course brings out your inner "foodie". Every detail is attended to with passion, consistently.

Located near Kokusai street and only 5 minutes walk or less from Prefectural office Station.
We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons.

There is an elevator for the luggage. Free shampoo, soap and earplugs.
