A nice and peaceful resort in Winter. In Summer it must be packed I guess. For your convenience, rent a car is recommended. Try to explore Karatsu town. On the way between to hotel and town, there are many shops and restaurants. A cheap sushi shop near by Mr. Max is a good idea for your wallet. The room is big, clean and comfortable bed. It comes with a microwave, kettle, and bath tub. Some stored of free instant coffee&tea, a cup of ramen and a bag of bath powder. The only down side of this hotel is no elevator. Once you arrive and see no one at reception, just hang up the phone (no need to dial) and say your name. There will be a Japanese lady come out. She may not speak English well but you can understand what she will try to explain. Check out is more than easy, you just drop the key at reception.
With larger than average room size expansive bathroom and shower and a clean modern style this motel room exceeded expectations.
