We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly, although not much English is spoken. The rooms were larger than expected, and very comfortable. If you want the window opened, you need to ask at the front desk, but this was quickly organised. This is probably a safety issue. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For what you get, the price is very reasonable!

Can. Double rooms 3500 NTD snight, which is a big one at a cheap hotel in Japan. Next to the hotel is a shop street in Sassibao.

My stay at the Quintessa Hotel was very pleasant. The staff are professional and my room was clean. I will definitely stay again if I need a hotel in Sasebo.

Good sized rooms and very clean. Convenient location to the Naval Base and to the Ginza shopping center. Hotel restaurant was good for breakfast, but a little pricey.

One of the nicer hotels in the area, this will definitely be my first choice when I come back!

Room size is good. Still use keys instead of key cards. Good location… only issue is parking will cost you $. It would be better if it was included with the room. Hotel has Laundry facilities… they just do not sell detergent which was frustrating. Rooms could use more plugs for electronics. We were overall happy with the hotel which is why we gave it a good 3 Star rating.

The facilities are slightly older and are a short distance from the station. But the room is large, near the mall, eating and shopping are convenient.

Large room with a good view, complimentary water bottles, tea and coffee facilities and toiletries, comfortable bed. Everything was good.

We stayed on the 13th floor Luxus room. The bathroom was smaller than we expected but the whole room was impressive. Breakfast choices were also great. View is amazing and you can do a morning run on the riverside and inside the us navy.

The location is good close to the arcade with resturant and bars. The room is nice. Will not shock westerners. The only reason for 4 stars is the resturant inside. It is not worth the money.

In the heyday of the economy, the quality of the hardware was good and the staff was well-trained.
The bed is well slept, the bathroom is the real tiled bathroom, not the plastic "suite".
Breakfast is the choice of organic ingredients cooking family food, Sen Jie delicious, lunch and dinner buffet is well worth recommending. The location is quiet, there are a lot of food options nearby, a 3 minute walk from Sasebo's famous bubble shop.

The room was clean and nice. It’s located near the shopping district. Very convenient.

Clean rooms. Small by American standards but the bed was comfy and the toilet seat was heated. Fantastic! The staff was very nice as well.

Best place to stay while in Sasebo Japan. They have the bigger room than any of the other hotels in the area. The parking is not that great it will cost you about 600yen a day to park.

It's close to the local shopping area called Ginza. And near the military installation if you have family there. It's walking distance to both. The staff is kind and rooms are the average size for a Japanese hotel. This means desk, bed, armchair and coffee table size. Closet is about 1.5 feet wide. The refrigerator is the super small size and accommodates very little so you will have to eat out, there is no kitchen or microwave in the room. However there is a microwave on the second floor, so you may want to request a room there. I have not tried it yet but there is a restaurant in the hotel and I think that the breakfast is no longer included in your stay. But check on that, I'm not sure. You can also borrow an iron and an ironing board from the front desk. Room is stocked with toilet paper, tissues, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap. Most of the local merchants as you should expect, speak Japanese. You may get lucky and find a few that speaking English. Taxi, bus and train are available for Travel. The two nearest airports are Nagasaki and Fukuoka about 2 driving hours away. The people in town are polite and helpful there's water nearby and scenic mountains. Enjoy.

Very polite staff, but make a reservation early since it's very popular with Americans and it can be tough to get a reservation at times. Rooms are reasonably clean and a decent size.

A nice and quiet hotel in the middle of the city's hustle and bustle. Great place to unwind after a day's work.

For a westerner this is as good as it gets in Sasebo. Staff is friendly and vary accommodating. Rooms are on the larger side for Japan. Fantastic buffet on the ground floor with a large vegetarian selection. Perfect location to food, shopping, and site seeing.

Formerly known as the Chisun Grand, it's basically the same hotel. The rooms are big and a lot of Americans stay here. There's Wi-Fi, but it gets slow sometimes.

We stayed there to visit my father-in-law (fil) in hospital in Sasebo, coming from Chiba. It was much better than I expected, we had a comfort night.

This is a very nice place to stay in Sasebo, and very close to the Ginza Arcade. That makes it very convenient to lots of shopping and dining, if you're here on leisure. It's about a 15 minute walk from the US Navy base, and the Sasebo train station. They have non-smoking floors, which is a huge plus. The rooms are very large for Japanese hotels, and the beds are characteristically firm. There was a room for an extra chair and table in the room, which was nice. There was wired internet available for free in the room. Overall, it was very clean and a pleasant place to stay. The real winner, though, is the service. The desk staff seemed to mostly be very capable with English, and extraordinarily helpful. They helped us find great restaurants, and, when we were checking out, they even helped us make reservations at our next hotel that didn't have English speaking clerks. They get a gold star for service.
