This hotel is a bit farther out, but we did use the train and the short walk there was actually really lovely, especially in autumn. The lobby is huge and check-in was swift.

Amazing experience! Buffet was sufficient and tasty. Room was huge with plenty of onsen ready towels and yukatas.

The service is superb and you feel most welcomed once you are in the hotel. Generous snacks and drinks at welcoming time. The room is a bit aged yet well maintained.

I love this hotel though it catered mainly to locals, but also serves an international crowd. Customer service is first class; very efficient and treated like royalty.

I stayed one night at the Nikko Kanaya Hotel, and it was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding – attentive, thoughtful, and personal.

The Richmond Hotel is across the street from the Utsunomiya train and bus stations and close to stores, shops and restaurants.

Nice hotel as 3 stars, breakfast can be used in front hotel too which is western and Japanese mix.

The open-air public bath offered excellent views of both the sunrise and the stars.

If you are self driving in nikko, we highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful. There were many convenient services as well. I had a buffet dinner which serves many delicious dishes, especially Vietnamese-taste dishes.

Excellent hotel with extremely spacious rooms. Their all you can eat buffet (dinner + breakfast) is so delicious. They even serve crab! Would stay again.

Our room was a recently renovated room: spacious and very comfortable. (a big improvement over our room in another Mercure a year ago). The hotel is very popular for families with kids.

Children's playgrounds are substantial both inside and outside the building, and there is also the Rindo Lake Family Ranch right next to it, so I think that it is suitable for families with children.

We stayed in a room with small Onsen bath tub on the balcony. Price is reasonable and dinner of Chinese cuisine buffet was good.

It was such an excellent experience to stay at this cozy hotel, highly recommended.

Meals such as tempura, steak, and various desserts are delicious. Grilled sweet potatoes are served in front of the front desk for a late night snack.

The guest room has no view, and if you put 3 single beds, it will be full.
