Everything was good. Quiet space, clean spa and sauna, close to the Main Street. The only thing they can improve would be improving the signage in the hostel especially in the onsen. In a Japanese onsen there is lots of rules to make sure we all can enjoy the best experience. For instance, we need to clean our bodies before get into the pool. No towel and hair in the water, do not scrub in the pool, has to be completely naked to keep the water clean. Foreigners may not know these especially the first visit in Japan. I met some foreigners in the bath and they seem very confused about these … and this is not their fault not knowing these. Because public bath from their countries might have different rules … so please take care of them and show the superb hospitality just like the other hostel in japan please.

Do not waste your money! If you are 5’10” or taller you won’t be able to stretch out in the capsule. The capsules are hot and not well sound proofed. I stayed for the first two nights (of 4) and had to leave because there was someone snoring so loudly nobody could sleep. I had my own really good earplugs but they hardly even muffled the sound. Multiple people asked the front desk if they could wake the guy up or do something (anything! ) and they just kind of laughed and said ‘its a capsule hotel’ (acknowledging that it is a horrible place to stay? ). They wouldn’t give me a refund or even partial refund for either of the last 2 nights. Seriously the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Really great place to stay. I was in the 32 bed dorm and it was quiet, comfy, and cool even in thesummer. The baths were really nice and there were shampoo, conditioner, and a variety of other soaps provided. Even though I was only here for one night it was a very relaxing experience.

First, Great location. Close to the train and bus station. Hotel's spa is a bonus. Secind, Staffs. Staffs especially front desk staffs are amazing. Third, the room. It is quite at night. It's tinny but has everything. One of the highlight is the skin care product in the public room.

I would never expect to stay in a capsule hotel, but I gotta say that this experience exceeded my expectations! Their amenities, building and accommodations were clean, new and comfortable. The service desk employees were super polite, friendly and always willing to help. The showers and the Japanese bath are on a separate floor (basement), but each floor has toilets, sink, hair dryer and lockers so it's very convenient. Location is REALLY good, would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place, close everywhere, nice stuffs and good atmosphere and prices. Love your hot spring ;-)

In the very lively four stations, the traffic is quite convenient.
Beds and the environment are clean, but the height of more than 180 cm will feel the bed is too small. Everyone has a password locker to put on a backpack.
Beds can not be cold in winter, but summer should be very hot, because there is no ventilation.
The receptionist is very kind and can speak English.
Sleep at night to see Luck, the first day met the neighbors are quite polite, but the next day neighbors are very noisy ⋯. The jacuzzi in the basement is super cool! And there's no limited time. But it's best to avoid hot spots (7-9 in the evening) to wash, because the dressing room is very small, will be stuffed into a regiment.

The place looks awesome and the staff are very professional (especially Risa-tan. She's the best! )

This was the most amazing place to stay in kyoto it had everything you needed amazing location. Fantastic staff. All the necessities u need and more when staying at a 5star hotel. I will recommend this place to anyone comjng to kyoto.

Reception Service gracious smile very charming bath is very comfortable will want to continue to soak in the laundry dryer location is very good, there are four Gao Cang buses near the subway and tram reception is very intimate.

This is my first capsule so I have nothing else to compare it to. For the price I paid, the service was good. They provide you a locker for valuables and the bath space was great. The only issue I had was that I wish there was type of fan inside. I ended up having to leave my door cracked open because it would get too hot. Which posed it's own problem since I had a bright light right next to my capsule. Kind of disappointed and wish I did more research on better capsules. But overall, it was a decent value. Tip if you're staying here. Ask the front desk for earplugs or bring your own.

It is a clean hostel an experience for those travelers who want something different are capsules comfortable for people not so high the problem is that they do not let you wear shoes or sandals for bathing and the bathrooms are on the ground floor which is incomfortable if you go with Ñiño s But if you go alone it's like you're in a club where showers are shared.

Nice and clean hostel with friendly staffs. It also has an Onsen and Sauna with a TV in it downstairs. Location is not far from station. Cool capsule style dormitory, with a TV and charging ports inside each capsule.

It has an excellent location. Right to the shopping mall, restaurants and buses to other sightseeing spots. The bed is comfy, and the facility is reasonably clean. Shower facility has sauna and hot tub. Downside is that it is too crowded in the room. There are 40 cabins in a room. About 2/3 of cabins are occupied. A cabin is only fitted in a tiny single bed, nothing else. No cloth hanger in the cabin. The cabin temperature is too hot to sleep with the door closed. Donot stay in a mixed dorm. Always someone snores in the night. There is only one small common area in the lobby for hanging out. It is not recommended for a backpacker. If you can not tolerate the smell of smoke, do book a non-smoking room. You can smell the smoke even people smoke in the smoking room (maybe in the cabin). : (it really disturbs my sleep.

A really lovely site, the lounge with spa ideal, and the rooms quite well equipped, if I had to put some glue is to have to wait until 14:00 to do the Chek in when then to lad 11:00 and you have to go but good…

A little on the cramped side but it is Japan after all. Other than that it's a high quality place. The staff are great and it's a decent operation. Capsules can be closed for blackout and beds are comfortable complete with a TV, light and plug sockets. Everyone stays nice and quiet in the rooms. The spa is really cool but beware you've gotta go butt naked! The showers are very nice and hot and they have free luxury soaps, razors and lotions etc, 40 degree Celsius jacuzzi, 15 degree Celsius cold bath (men's only), and 90 degree Celsius sauna. The bar and breakfast isn't anything to write home about but it's something and pretty cheap.

I booked this capsule hotel because I had stayed in the Centurion in Tokyo (women only) 2 years ago. That was a great experience in Tokyo, and I was excited to book this one in Kyoto. However, I am disappointed. Because this hostel is mainly for foreign tourists, the service is not as nice as the one (mainly for Japanese) I stayed early on during this trip. Somehow I feel the service is discounted. Japanese hospitality is superb, but this one I don't really feel it. The instructions about safety / fees all over the building make me feel only one message from the hostel: you are on your own, and be responsible for yourself — we are not here to babysit you. If you are in Japan, you know the service staff in this country really take good care of you. But in this Centurion, I don't feel that sense of friendliness.

New structure and well cared for, great location in the city centre. The SPA area is spectacular, really beautiful, the sauna with the key to the Jacuzzi. Try it! Only drawback is the lockers in the public baths, to the plan, because they have an "ugly" system of closure: it is necessary to store the code and if you change the code while the lever and on the "open", it is changed automatically (the two users have gone wrong while I was there, and the reception takes a while to come to the floor to perform the reset). Anyway, I highly recommend it! To try the experience of the capsules, is to visit the city easily!

The hotel itself is very good. But most people should know that this isn't a 'hotel' in the traditional sense. This is what they call a pod hotel, similar to capsule hotels. Meaning everything besides your bed is all shared. The private area is good enough… I'm 1.88m and I fit easily in one of them. In each pod there is a TV with only Japanese channels. A small foldable table, two wires with just about any charging ports to most mobile devices, one USB outlet, two Japanese outlets, and even one international outlet. So there's no big crisis if you forgot your charger or an international converter. The rest of the hotel is all shared. There's restrooms on each floor, and the baths are in the basement. The baths are separate between male and female. And like traditional Japanese baths, you take a shower before the bath itself. The baths have a sauna, and a hot, and a cold area. Just remember to rinse off after the bath, as I think it contains chlorine. As for breakfast, the hotel has a small lounge area that guest can sit and enjoy beverages all day round, but the breakfast is a bit on the small side to my liking. But you also get a breakfast voucher for the diner next door that serve traditional Japanese breakfast. The hotel has free open Wi-Fi.

For the price paid, unbeatable. Basically an upmarket hostel (capsule hotel) but without the social area. The sauna and baths made were excellent after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was good but not great — one cereal, some breads, coffee, juice etc.

Public bath was fantastic and we'll stocked, sleeping accommodations were great, very private and including a TV in each, along with a selection of charging options (power outlets, USB, etc). Lockers were spacious. Staff's English was great.

Great spot to lie in and rest for the night. No reason to be here until you get back to rest and sleep. Wi-Fi is provided, rooms are small but long enough to sleep in and you're given a locker but would not fit a luggage. It could fit a carry-on depending on the size.

Top quality hostel, which is more of a hotel. I've stayed in both the dorms and the 6 bed family rooms, and both are very nice. The onsen in the basement is a must do. Only issues were the rooms were a bit poorly ventilated so could get hot, and the dryers in the launder room were always in use so very hard to get a chance to dry your clothes.

The location is very good. From Kyoto Station you can take the subway to four stations to walk a short way to get off the bus to Umaru Takakura station, diagonally to the side and the Hankyu Maru. Station to the river to the town can be from the Kam market side to stroll past or take a bus as long as a station door a lot of buses can take the hotel is very clean before the information is a bathrobe free is a lot of color can be To choose, but now only men and women have a kind of color to rent 200 I don't think it's good to look at it or the color of the ad, so I didn't rent a drink, so I had to pay 300 to check out. Now it's 300 yuan a day, there's a hot spring oven, it's great, it's going to be free.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are quite friendly. Do not worry about the dorm atmosphere that will not appeal to everyone as well as the common shower.

Cabin Hotel Super equipped with indoor spa. Very clean, quiet and with the possibility of large and comfortable capsules.

Good capsule hotel with a fine public spa area. Location Very good location in the main shopping street. It is near to the nishiki market and a bus station is in front of the building. Facilities Clean facilities with capsules including a TV and USB, plugs. The capsule itself cannot be locked — for valuables there are lockers available. The public spa is small but it has everything from showers, a little pool and a sauna (with an embedded Tv). Towels, toothbrushes etc can be found there too. I tried the laundry too. Works well, you just have to buy a detergent at the reception. The only annoying thing is that there is just 1 lift in the building and it is always busy. Breakfast Western and Japanese available. The Japanese I tried was good. Cost We paid ~50 euros for two capsules. I guess there are cheaper ones around I recommend the place as a Japan experience.

This is a quite luxury hostel. The matrass of the cabin is great, it's very quiet, everyone whispers, didn't expect that. The showers and spa are awesome. You have a rainshower and a lot of free lotions/shampoo/condioner etc, and you shower with a peacefull music. You can choose of a western or japanese breakfast. The western one isn't that spectacular, but you'll get a huge plate of food when you choose the Japanese breakfast, just next door. The location is 10 minutes walk to the busy street with a lot of cafes. We've been at this hostel as a couple for five days. Maybe it's not that romantic place to stay as a couple, but definitely recommend as it is cheap and you will completely relax in your busy holiday schedule.

Nice and clean cabin hotel. The only issue is really strong air condition. During first night there I was completely frozen. After that, I shut the ventilation in my cabin every night.

A beautiful cabin hotel where you can relax and a don't have to worry about anything. You can also use their spa for free which nice. The hotel is also located in the hart of Kyoto so you don't have to go far to find something to do. Only downside is that you have a locker and its quite small, you'll have to leave your big bags at your cabin.

Amazing amenities. Truly enjoyed the onsen and sauna, especially after walking around all day. Not too social for solo travellers though!

Very affordable pod hotel with individual compartments which gives you complete privacy as well as some peace and quite. In case you aren't relaxed enough, the spa located in the basement was the perfect place to completely unwind after a long day's walk. Affordable taste of luxury for the weary traveller.

The only problems you'd realistically come across here are your fellow cabin mates. The spa was an awesome relaxation area. A great change of pace from hostel life style. If you're after shopping, the hotel is smack dab in the middle of a giant 'mall boulevard'. The language was proficient in English, so there was no difficulty with the check-in.

I would give this Cabin & Spa 6 stars/ 5 if I could. This place far exceeded my expectation when I made the booking. Located conveniently near subway station Shijo, right in front there's a bus stop as well with frequent buses to popular shrines and temples. Very value for money. There's a spa open almost 24 hours free for guests who stay here with hot spring and sauna / jacuzi, there's a lounge open 24 hours and if you just pay 300 yen you can freely use drinks and soup counter until you check out. Staff are very helpful and polite, great English speaking, no communication issues. Reception and cabin all beautifully decorated with Japanese tradition theme. Cabin is spacious enough abd all the things you need is there, multiple chargers for your phones, camera, power banks etc. Their shower room are the best, they have everything you ever need, from shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, skin toner, milk lotion, cleansing oil… there's even hair straightener for you, so you basically don't need to bring anything with you and travel light.
