nine hours Kyoto Hotel

The concept is nice and the place very clean but it cannot compare to the Nine hours in Sendai. Here the lockers are smaller, the shower is smaller and the pyjamas aren't nice, not to mention the showers/lockers are on another floor to the capsules which is very annoying. So still a nice enough place but just incomparable and disappointing.

Recommended place only for sleeping.

Don't get fooled by the entrance, the capsule hotel is just perfect, super clean and modern inside. You come here just for two thing leave your stuff and go to sleep, perfect for travelers and tourists that like me want to see the city. They give you pijamas, flip flops and whenever your're hungry there is a family mart at a side of the building.

Good location, right in the city center, family mart next door, easy access to train/ bus stop, close to shopping malls. Clean and quiet, have to check in/out everyday if you stay more than one night, but can keep your luggage in the same locker.

The capsule hotel was really cool and they provided us with everything we needed, including toothbrushes and toothpaste. It is actually complicated to turn off the lights in the capsule, so stick to the instruction sheet they give you. Pillows are somewhat weird if you are not a back sleeper. Their English was good enough.

The hotel is nice. The location is very convenient, the main metro stations are close, the popular temples are generally 10 minutes away. Nishiki market too. Side has a Family Mart.
The hotel itself looks tired. I see he's 10 years old. The average suitcase fit into the locker perfectly. The big ones have to leave downstairs at reception.
Capsules are very simple, in fact only light, charging and alarm clock. There is no ventilation in the capsule, so it can be stifling or hot.
As a place to stay overnight or to throw things away and go for a walk/excursion – very good.
The rooms and lockers are not available from 10 to 12.

It's good to live the one night experience in a capsule hotel. Everything is very clean and the design concept very good. Well-Iconic explained. Against has the pillows and mattress that are very hard! They give you pajamas but they have a lot of use and should change them, also the fabric is very warm and the capsule is not ventilated. But the experience is worth.

Very clean, the capsules are large and the staff speaks fluent English. The bad thing is Q the showers are on the ninth floor to the same q the Lockers.

The Wi-Fi here is the best I've found for cruising capsule hotels, the foam pillows are great and the matting is comfy. No tv, but whatever, you have a tablet and you're good to go! Extremely easy to find and even better location for local sight seeing.

It's a decent place but nothing as per reviews I read online… Been to much better capsule hotels in Japan. There was no restaurant. For lounge they just had chairs… No bathing… Only showers… Nothing like a spaceship.

An experience to go to the nine hours. The showers are amazing as are the capsules and all the facilities. The price is very good.

A great little pod hotel in a fantastic area. Easy to get to from Kyoto station via the metro and then a 10 minute walk up. If you haven't stayed in one before, it's an experience! You leave all your luggage in a locker on a different floor, your shoes in a locker downstairs and then stay on a same sex floor within an assigned pod. Each locker has some PJ's (which are static beyond belief. Don't wear. ) towels and a toothbrush. The pod itself: pretty cool but it can get really hot overnight, so take some water with you.

Reception is warm and welcoming, the bed is comfy yet claustrophobic. Men and women are on separate floors, get supplied pyjamas, toothbrush/paste, shampoo&conditioner etc. But do not expect a good night's sleep, especially if you are a light sleeper as the pull down shutter to your cubby does not shut out any noise from your neighbours, and check out time is 10am. For the price, a hostel would probably give more satisfaction.

Design and moving line planning compared to the general backpacker hostel can be regarded as avantgarde, with a sense of the future. I feel like I'm being modularized as the future people in the movies. First into the 3 floor locker and toilet area, finishing up and wash up to replace everyone on the same pajamas on the 4 floor in the shape of a special capsule bed, flow uniform. The luggage is too big to put on the 1 floor, the evening dragged to the room is really noisy, because the whole room is too quiet, a sound can hear there will be echoes.
It is inconvenient for the blood-fighting families to tidy up the travelling land. In addition to the people here is very standardized without feelings of space, I do not know whether the staff is not enthusiastic, especially my evening check in the night desk miss, not to say smelly face but feel a little disdain, knowing that I am a foreigner Japanese also speak fast, not hear the part is not very impatient to repeat. This part makes people feel a little uncomfortable.

Amazing place to take a nap! Even if you don't stay here it's 1000 yen per hour and so worth it. They give you pajamas and towels and access to lockers and showers. The capsule is very comfortable and has an amazing ambient light alarm system.

Great first capsule experience. The building and the capsule are clean, and the shower is nice. I didn't put 5 stars because of the noise inside capsules (not sound proof at all).

Great, only people could be more considerate. Snoring for example, the capsules are not soundproof. Also, OMG, stone instead of a pillow.

The location was actually pretty good. Very close to a lot of really cool little stores. The capsules we're also pretty good, a bit stuffy and you can hear everything that the other people are doing in the other capsules. The service is nice. This place is best for only a one night stay.

The staff were friendly and the amenities were clean and had a cool futuristic aesthetic. The capsule was comfortable enough. It was too warm with the provided "inside clothes. " It was a bit difficult to get a full night's sleep, as a light sleeper. You can hear the other guests coming into the sleeping room at all hours and everyone has trouble operating their privacy shade quietly. Every single attempt is accompanied by banging. It was reasonably priced, though. I would recommend if you are a good sleeper.

This place is pretty good for what it is, a cheap place to stay for the night. The facilities are clean and the location is convenient. I'd recommend this for people who are on a tight budget, but don't come here and expect an extremely comfortable stay.

This was such a crazy experience and I loved it. It made my Japan trip worth it! The place is super clean. The cabins are not sound proof so I recommend getting an ear plug along. It's definitely not "jerk-proof". Had some drunk idiots walz into the room and talking real loud the second night. Nothing a lil shush couldn't take care of. :)

It looks cool and futuristic in the photos but in reality it's uncomfortable and inconvenient. The first floor is a mess with guests bags lying all over the place. If you're staying 2 nights you have to check out after the first night and check back in. All the fancy white walls and floors are scuffed and run down. I stayed in a First Cabin capsule hotel after this and it was so much nicer. Don't bother!

Great concept, poorly implemented. No lockers on your own floor but only on the shower room. You have to check out every day and have to wait to check back in. While you're checked out your luggage can't be in one of the lockers but has to be places near the entrance without security or anything. There is almors no room to relax for males, females have a private relax floor but males have to share it with the entrance, luggage and other guests. The sleeping cabins are good and the bathroom is mostly clean, but almost dated.

Nice clean hostel. Good experience even for 3 nights. My friend booked 3 months in advance and paid 2000 yen more than me per night? I booked 2 days ahead. Maybe try different web sites. Spa / onsen was broken in the men's which is annoying. For a hostel they haven't really got the lockers sorted. You have to leave your luggage in the foyer not locked up. U do get a locker but even a small bag is difficult to fit in it. However very sleek design and very clean. Good experience.

Way over priced. The idea is interesting, but definitely not worth the price. Stick with air BNB.

Place is clean and quiet. Bath tub was out of service though. Mattresses are thin, I ended up with my back sore. And it's way overpriced. 6800¥/night is so expensive, when you have similar capsule hotels for 4800¥/night in the same area, breakfast included (which is not the case of 9hour). 9hour is packed with foreigners, no Japanese, another tourist catch.

Fun capsule hotel, convenient for a night. Air conditioning could be better.

Whooooa this is such a epic hotel! You be missing out if you don't stay at least 1 night here while you're in Kyoto.

Really cool place to stay.

Clean, modern, unusual (for western tourists), cool place to sleep at. It was fun to try it for a night, though I wouldn't stay there for longer :)

The hotel is well located, close to the gion district, temples and market. The hotel is designed more for single travellers and only for one night, because things can only be left in lockers or at the reception and communication area only in a small lobby on the ground floor. In the men's shower rooms also there is one shared bath with hot water in which to unwind after a long day. Despite this, this hotel is the best option kapuslnogo type, which gave an unforgettable experience :)

I love the concept of 9h and its clean, minimal design really appeals me. The futuristic capsules were snug and I was lucky enough not to have any noisy neighbours in the capsules next to me. Guests are given identical 9h pyjamas to sleep in, adding to the feeling that you are on board a space vessel in the Alien quadrilogy. In the morning I was woken by a light that slowly gets brighter. To prevent disturbing sleeping guests, there are no sound alarms and mobile phones must be kept on silent mode. The washing area is as functional as the sleeping area, with soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, and towel all provided in a personal locker. Whilst I can't imagine I'd love staying here for a whole week, it was a fun and experience for a night.
