This hotel is much better than the usual chain properties. The hotel feels very spacious, especially the lobby, which offers beautiful views and free drinks and popsicles.

The pricing is quite reasonable, 23, 000¥ including basic Japanese traditional dinner and breakfast buffet.
The location is one of the worst in the region.

Service was phenomenal, from the moment they pick you up from the train station until you checked out. The onsen was very relaxing and has a great view outdoor.

Booked this Ryoken on a bit of a whim as it was “on the way” to Kanazawa, and absolutely glad that we did. Whilst a bit more out of the way than realised, definitely worth the effort.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, where we were fortunate enough to book a room in the 425. The hotel’s location is simply fantastic, offering easy access to a nearby convenience store.

A wonderful ryokan with excellent views, a grand entryway with lots of shopping options, and abundant food options as well.

The location is Great!
If you come to Toyama, definitely stay near the JR station. It is where the bus tour pick up spot, and terminal of local buses.

Perfect for families with young children. The hotel is dated but it’s well maintained and spotless. Rooms are spacious in Japanese standards and beds were comfortable.

We visited Kanazawa for 1 day and stayed at Stella guesthouse. Shuji San was extremely kind and helpful!

The guesthouse had very clean rooms and the shared bathroom, toilets, and other shared rooms were all very clean too!

We stayed for one night while visiting Kanazawa to celebrate my 60th birthday (which I learned is a special birthday in Japan). The staff and service was exceptional!

The most wonderful experience ever! They were so welcoming and kind I felt relaxed the minute I stepped in. The rooms were beautiful and the onsen so relaxing.

Super good for family to stay in, spacious and have laundry and very convenient just walking distance to the train station. Behind the hotel there is a 7-11 which was so convenient.

For a sustainably operated hotel, physical help can appear much faster than expected. In our case, even before we called for them.

Wanted to be able to give it 5 stars, but alas, more periodic maintenance would be required (wood refinishing, changing carpets). The overall look is pleasing and, if anything, could look older!

I am a muslim. I realize how difficult to get halal food in this area, but while staying at this hotel they prepare halal meal (dinner and breakfast) that I can consume without hesitation.

I used it for the first time in November, and it is a high-class inn.
The hallway, or passageway, was lined with what looked like stone, giving it a luxurious feel that I had never seen before.

I thought it was a long-established store. The hotel staff who greeted us was very responsive.

I can not adequately describe the amazingness of this beautiful resort but I'll do my best! From the moment you enter you are greeted with a special kindness.

First, let me say that the management goes all out to make your stay enjoyable. Big shout out to mr. Yoshida who went above and beyond to untangle a reservation mess of my own doing.

Best ryokan in Japan, the only downside is the staff not speaking English but they make a really big effort I’ll give them that, it turned out to be an amazing experience.

A beautiful ryokan, with kids-friendly staff. The food was of very good quality (awesome mountain veggies), delicately prepared and the restaurant felt comfortable and luxurious.

We had an amazing stay at this spacious ryokan. We were here on Christmas and there were very few guests. Hotel is very clean, room spacious and food was great. There was also a drum show at 9pm.

Great hotel, although it shows its age. However, it offers one of the best breakfasts for its price range. Moreover, I loved the natural light, which gave the breakfast area a warm tint.
