The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean, everything you need to eat. The staff is friendly.

Very friendly staff. We left with a gift. The location is relatively close to JR station and to the Tram which is very nice and arrives to the more touristy parks. The full Western or traditional Japanese breakfast.

The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and perfectly equipped. We had a TV, hair dryer, phone, tea, Japanese styled pajamas and many other things. And you could get many more equipment for free as well. Excellent attention to detail. The Japanese breakfast (¥600) was really good as well. I wish we could've stayed more time there but we were only passing by Hakodate one night.

Nice hotel around 5 minutes walk from the station. Great staff who speak good English and it also has a piano in the lobby for guests to play.

It's a pretty good place to stay over for the night if you are going around hakodate or using it as a stop over.

The room is very small, just enough for 2 person. It's situated in a very good location, near the main station.

Close to hakodate station, cheap, polite staff. The walls are too thin and it's noisy specially at night.

We initially wanted to return our car rental in Hakodate so we booked a hotel that was near the station. In the end we decided to drive back to Sapporo as it was cheaper for 4 adults to drive than train. The hotel room is too small… because we drove, we just brought 1 set of clothes up to the room (left the full luggage in the car) … free parking by the way, and just 500m to Hakodate Morning Market! (But we drove to the market) … 3 hours parking cost us $750¥ at the market's public car park. So if you drive, you can choose to leave your car at the hotel so save some Yen.

Air con isn't strong enough. Had to open windows and use the fan provided to make the room less stuffy in summer. Short walk from JR station. Hotel staff is very friendly and speaks English.

Service was nice. Decent Wi-Fi. Bikes for free rental use. In general, it was good. It's also close to the port's morning market, and the Kanemori red brick warehouse. All in all, not a bad place, although it looks a tad shabby from the outside.

Just 5min walk from JR Train station.

Roms should consider renovating, new bed and new sheet would be really refreshing.

Small room, very common in japan. At 3600 yen, it comes with attached bath, toiletries, tv, Wi-Fi, fridge, mineral water, free coffee. Reception area is of reasonable size. It's a steal in japan. I had stayed for much more at similar facilities in sapporo.

We stayed in this hotel because its location is very convenient. It is located near to Hakodate Station, convenient stores and morning market. We chose traditional Japanese family room. The room is very clean and big enough for 2 adults and 1 kid. Although the bathroom is very small but it is very clean. The staffs are nice and professional. The hotel environment is homy with a 100 years old piano which guests can play during certain time (it's a big plus for our daughter who loves playing piano)

Hotel Sharoum inn 2 @ Hakodate near by Hakodate station. It's quite good choice. Clean & Complete everything. Convenience and easy to find. Closed by attraction places here such as Morning market Hakodate station.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels, traveling entirely by bike from Narita to here. I've been almost denied board on the baseless assumption of illicit intent; I've been placed at the end of a hall in almost every place I've stayed; I've had pricing change on checkout for unexplained reasons. None of it has been reason to bother with a bad review until here. This place not only initially offered a price much higher than the one it has advertised online, it then increased the initial pricing even further, only minutes later, after I checked for a cheaper option. If budget is your goal, you may be stuck with this place, but seek less demeaning options if you're not dead tired. Pricing is NOT from $38.
