Terrible service. Was charged with 3000 yen for being 10 mins late for checkout. They just decided to milk the cow and even threatened to call the police.

Not accustomed to and style room low sitting posture, for the meal time has the person to the room to bed the cordial service feel horror.
Despite the beauty of the Pacific scenery outside the window, the rough weather in front of the storm through the night has made people uncomfortable.
Not to drink Japanese-style tea, also can not find instant coffee.
Only the large baths and the loan to cut open wind LU can support the scene, the whole decoration is old. Service personnel are talented people, many handsome men can talk in English.

Japanese guests are smoking at the balcony, you can’t barely open your windows. The front desk has nothing to do with it. Good rooms but bad living experience with Japanese guests.

There are feeder cars at the station, about 15-20 minutes ' drive. Each room has a sea of faces. There is an open-air windy Lu. Credit Cut Wind LV (Tongyu) Pine Hottest, need to pay, accommodation enjoy 50 percent.
100% Natural hot Springs. The first floor through the beach, children's play pool open in summer, the pool next winter has 24 hours free foot soup.

Nice resort for surfing or onsen.

We had a great time at Shimoda Yamatokan, super friendly staff, amazing views, and amazing authentic food… also great for families! I highly recommend staying here! The only request I have is the beach access stay open a little bit later. Overall, a great experience! Thank you!

Nice view, delicious dinners/breakfast, very good onsen on 5-th floor. One remark about the onsen scedule, you cannot take bath (onsen) between 12:00 to 3:00 o'clock, but what should the quests do when it is rainy outside?!

Very courteous staff. Spacious room. Awesome view from balcony! Beach is really clean.

The public suana was good and clean. The rooms are average.

As soon as you get out of the car, help with your luggage. Take you all the way to the sea-facing lobby lounge to rest, is surprised to enjoy the sea view, cherry blossom tea and desserts are served, and then on your side to check in, this drive to meet the customer experience, too classic. Not recommended! The place is in a nice location just outside Shimoda, on the shores of a Bay popular with surfers. You can get there from the station with the shuttle from 14:30 and 17:00, will take you to the hotel. Good cuisine, almost exclusively by sea, and that you won't find in Italy. Super friendly staff, especially the women who is the only one with basics of English (we have prepared leaflets with the menu in English and taught in what order and how to taste the dishes) ; the male will tell you, however, always so without having really understood. Apart from the typical politeness of this people, the fact remains that the structure is worn and unclean (we found a cockroach in the room). Not worth it, and certainly in this wonderful country is better.
