Awesome time. Nice rooms, very accommodating.

Very comfortable stay at the Rickshaw Inn! Close to the main sites and walkable from train station in Takayama. They were very accommodating and the rooms were comfortable. I'd stay here again.

Very nice place to stay. The Japanese-style rooms are really nice and spacious.

Very friendly and good English speaking owner. Cozy hostel. Clean and private yet feels like a place to relax and connect with other guests if you want to.

Location is nice, staffs are very helpful. However, cleanliness need some improvement and the Wi-Fi is a bit lackluster.

Nothing about Takayama was particularly of notice. Could've stayed a day or two more in Matsumoto instead. Had a small room, and kept banging my head all the time. The location of the guesthouse was central though.

My family and I stayed in a Japanese style room. The room is kind of small for us with all of our luggages, but it is clean and comfortable to stay in. The location is very close to the old street and the morning market. The staffs can speak English and they are very nice.

Late April to the inn, the receptionist was very polite, Japanese English, met a very love Taiwan, Mr. Counter, chat very happy. The public environment has refrigerators, microwaves, tableware and so on, very convenient. The reservation is a double and room with bath, the interior space is comfortable and tidy. The more inconvenient point is that there is no elevator, the suitcase mentioned on the third floor is really tired; sound insulation, morning and evening next door in the wash water will be a little noise, but does not affect the rest, sleep very quiet; On the whole, if you like the well-off space and the type of room, it will still be recommended.

The room is comfortable, despite not having toilet and shower in the room. The stairs are a little annoying but nothing to complain about. Really close to the station and to old town. Overall I enjoyed the stay.

The inn is extremely cosy. Located about a 7 minute walk from the train station. I had a small Japanese style room with a private toilet. The room was clean, bed comfortable and my quilt was warm. My room was next to the shared lounge and kitchen and I didn't experience any disturbances. There was a shared bathroom which was clean and tidy. Also coin laundry facilities on site which was useful. The staff at the inn were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and gave some great recommendations on where to go. Would definitely stay here again if I were to return.

The Rick shaw in is amazong, it may be expensive, but the breakfast they serve is great, they also serve fruit with the breakfast which is extremely expensive in japan. The place is very traditional compared to some other hotels, it's definitely worth staYing at if your after a real authentic experience l. The staff is also super amazing, nick is extremely helpful he can help you get reservations for other places fro there, and he speaks perfect english, he also can tell you some great places to go if you want to be touristy or not.

Locations! The place is very clean and locations is great! I wish they have a lift. But they are very helpful. They do help you to carry the luggage up 3rd floor for me. I also wish they have an ensuite bathroom too :P.

Very good Ryokan, rooms are large and clean, communal showers are fine. The hotel is excellent it gives very good advice on visits to the area. A review is breakfast which could be more "Japanese".

Comfortable and quiet, yet a short walk from eateries, the sights and the station.
