Shields Negril Villas had a group of 25 Student Land Surveyors for 2 weeks. Their housekeeping and customer service skills were great. Food was 6/10 (which is good considering I'm a foodie)

Arrival Friday, 29.12. All sockets in the room were without electricity. We complained a total of 3 times at the reception without anyone appearing to fix it. At the 3rd complaint at the reception that we do not use the hair dryer, the electr. We were told to charge our mobile phones at the reception… Aha… (Hair hair and brushing teeth then? ) As we walked away from the reception, when we were around the corner and out of sight, the lady at the reception swayed us. An absolute no-go!
Then we complained on Sunday, 31.12. With the tour guide Mr Pena. He promised to take care of it and wanted to talk to the owner of the hotel on the phone. An hour later, after we had spoken to Mr Pena, the electrician actually arrived.
Also:
— Bath fittings on the sink extremely loose. Each time at the tap on — and turned on the fittings had to be held.
— No hot water in the shower. With good luck we sometimes had lukewarm water for a few minutes, mostly it was that we only had cold water. But from time to time we also had the pleasure of showering with cockroaches, which was great.
— The room is extremely habitual. Strongly in need of renovation.
Actually not habitable. Hardly any storage facilities in the room.
— The maids are very friendly and fast.
— Breakfast: Just a few fruits and some toast. Hardly any butter or butter was out. Butter you got was liquid.
