I had the most wonderful experience at Sandy Haven resort. The beach is one-of-a-kind with soft powdery sand. The hotel rooms were modern, airy and have ample usb and outlets for multiple devices. All of the staff from dining to housekeeping were very polite. Bongos restaurant was a total delight. A must visit! The chef came out to greet me. The food was exquisite with a list of fine wines. Staying at Sandy Have was more than a vacation… it was more like an experience. My 3rd time back in the past year.

An absolutely beautiful boutique hotel with amazing staff and a wonderful owner, that took care of our every need. Our room was upgraded to accomodate my husband's 6'5 frame and we were very comfortable. I travel all over for work and this hotel will be on my list to recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Negril.

This hotel had great accommodations, clean, modern facilities. I give 4 stars because the hotel lacked entertainment, maybe it was because I visited in low peak period September to December. If your really looking for a laid back quiet experience. This is the place for you. If ur looking for entertainment and lots of vibes you might be disappointed.

This is very touching for me because the service was the epitome of excellence. “Pops” was the best! I literally think this jewel is essential to the Sandy Haven brand. We thank him dearly for providing us security, walking alongside to nearby stores, and providing excursions for much better prices. Marlon and Benjamin at the bar, made us the best drinks ever. Ya think it can’t better? Wrong. After serving us drinks, we wondered off into unknown territory partying and having more drinks. Just as we were very intoxicated stood Marlon. He had been watching us from the time his shift ended. He was making sure we were ok. He walked us back to the hotel and got me a cab to get me something to eat. That’s over exceeding a job well done and beyond because he probably saved my life! So thank you Sandy Haven, we will most definitely be staying in the future. Sorry for the long review, but those guys mean the world to me.

By far one the best hotels in Jamaica. Staff were friendly and welcoming, beautiful beach, lovely rooms and a top notch restaurant. Same time again next year!

I love coming to Sandy Haven because of the scenery and the staff. Keon, Tamar, Pops, Ralph, Stefan, Ricardo and Akeem know how to make sure they make their guests feel comfortable and like you are a part of their island family.

Best kept secret in Negril! We were there for 4 days in May 2018. Absolutely beautiful property. The hotel is small — only 35 rooms, but the rooms are gorgeous! We were on the top floor. Our room had a beautiful wood detail, that went into a "peak-like temple" structure. The light colored walls with the dark hard wood floors make the room modern and sleek. The bathrooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. Very modern with clean lines and nice decor. The staff were great. Everyone very friendly and accommodating. Being that the hotel is small, the staff os dedicated to you and making sure that your every need is met. The hotel is located directly on 7 Mile Beach, so you have full access to the beach and it's beautiful ocean! Unfortunately, we went during their rainy season, so we did not get as much sun as I wanted, but we made the best of it. We had plenty of sun in the morning, so we got as much beach time in as possible before the clouds rolled in. The food at the hotel was great. Everything fresh, seasoned well and taste delicious! And don't get me started on the drinks! They make sure that you are nice and "toasty" when they make your drinks! They are definitely not stingy when it comes to the alcohol. Safety is not a concern. The resort is secured 24-7 with a guard at the locked gate all the around the clock. If you are not a trusted taxi driver, you cannot get into the gate.

As part of my year-long celebration of reaching the half-century mark, I decided to book a stay at Sandy Haven Resort in Negril. The reviews were fantastic; and from what I could read and see the resort would meet all my needs for a nearly 2-week stay … I just couldn't imagine how well those needs would be met (above and beyond) and how incredibly enjoyable — even magical — my stay would be. I truly couldn't have planned a better vacation if I tried. From the moment I booked and reached out to the resort in advance of arriving, I was treated with warmth and joy. Upon arrival, Katoya at the front desk was welcoming and accommodating through a quick and easy check-in process (no long lines to check-in like at the monstrous resorts I passed along the way from the airport — and there would be no lines for anything at any time as this small luxury boutique resort is able to cater to each guest as if they were the only guest! ). Upon hearing about the celebratory purpose of my trip, Katoya joyfully offered me a complimentary upgrade to a seaview room! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Always cleaned and stocked everyday (room service does a fantastic job! ). And depending on your floor you either have a balcony or patio. My corner seaview room had a large patio surround by gorgeous greenery with direct access to the beach and sea. And the sunsets I enjoyed every night were absolutely breathtaking!

This is the place to stay to experience Negril casual chic mixed with a sense sometimes of not even being at a hotel, but something so much less sterile and much more inviting. The beach and rooms are meticulously kept, and comfortable (you find it hard to tear yourself away from either) and I am obsessed with their robes. My only complaint is that I don't know where to get one of those robes! And maybe that my water wasn't scalding as I like it, but I'm just splitting hairs at that point.

The hotel is right on beach with beautiful sunsets. The staff is outstanding, especially Tyrone the chef. He cooked special meals for my husband who cannot eat salt. Stephan, Romeo and all the others took great care of us at the bar. Nice casual lunches which are prepared to order. The people at the beach are very friendly and interesting … from all over the US … mostly middle aged with a few younger couples Everyone interacts if you want to meet people Get an ocean front room if possible. If improvements continue to rooms, this will be a five star hotel someday … not there yet. The biggest draw back is the septic tank odors at times in the bathrooms, mostly in evenings. That has to be fixed… otherwise a great place to stay. Well be back for sure … been to Jamaica over twenty times. Best vacations in the Caribbean.

The Sandy have resort ranks in my opinion among the best hotels in the region. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The whole facility is very clean. The food was very good without exception. So all kn we would have really had a dream stay at the Sandy…

We stayed at Sandy Haven in June and September of 2017, but knew the resort and staff from previous trips to negril in September of 2015 and 2016. The resort is beautiful and I can not say enough good things about the staff. Romeo is the greatest bartender and Pops goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is spectacular! The entire staff is what keeps us coming back. Looking forward to booking another stay very soon, highly recommend!

How to be at home… had a great time.

Although my wife and I have been here many times, Sandy Haven never disappoints! Many thanks to the wonderful staff and management for a truly top-notch experience. Fabulous food, atmosphere, and lodging is par for the course for this boutique gem! They all made my birthday weekend a joy and I would recommend staying here for your next visit to Negril, Jamaica!

This is an amazing boutique hotel that is centrally located on the 7-mike beach in Negril. It’s walking distance to several eateries, spas, shops and snorkeling tours. The restaurant and bar on site is really good and we ate or drank there at least once a day during our 8 day stay. The rooms are updated with cold AC units and the views from our room were breathtaking. The staff is top notch in regards to ensuring your experience is pleasurable and there is a small shop on site that sells basic toiletries and snacks—shout out to Pops! I would recommend booking excursions through the services offered at the hotel. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very professional. Their transport shuttles are clean and updated and the drivers are all very helpful—shout out to Mr. Purkiss, your conversation about Jamaican culture, politics, music and recommendations made our van trips that much more complete.

Sandy haven is an exceptional resort. The staff is warm and inviting and the environment is clean and relaxing. The rooms are elegant and the food is quite delightful. Whether relaxing on the beach or in the jacuzzi, or dining at the bongos restaurant or even playing a bit of pool to pass the time. Sandy haven is always refreshing. I will definitely be returning.

Stayed here in April 2017. The room was nice w a lovely balcony, huge changing area, and comfy bed. The continental breakfast was delightful with fresh fruit and bread. Sat right on the beach every morning and enjoyed the view. Bongos restaurant served a delicious meal for dinner so take advantage! There's a pool, gym, outdoor massage and hot tub that were usually empty. The staff was welcoming and friendly but one of those waitresses ripped me off in Jamaican dollars *Be careful* On one of the busiest main roads where they travel 80mph on a slow day. Right across from the Best Jerk chicken and patties shop in Negril.

This place FAR SURPASSED my original thoughts! GREAT staff across the board, from management all the way down, front desk, housekeepers, outdoor restaurant wait staff, security, concierge guys, EVERYONE! The 3 of us really, really liked our room & the bath towels were large & great! Staff was very friendly & helpful, LOVED the continental breakfast, the complimentary mimosas AND the complimentary rum punch upon arrival were all fantastic, such great & smart "extras"! ALL of the food we selected for our breakfast meal were fantastic! Again, I really liked my room as well as the complimentary upgrade to oceanfront, even on the 2nd floor our view was spectacular! I can-NOT WAIT 2 get back there for Dream Week next year!

This resort is just what I love. Clean with courteous staff. Food is pretty good. The bed is a little firmer than usual, but I actually like that. The shower good temperature. And I loved the soaking tub. I would come here again. Felt security was good enough for solo vacation here.

Dinner and the wait staff were great and everyone enjoyed their meals. 4 out of 5 stars.

Bongos Restaurant and Bar at Sandy Haven Resort was a hidden gem! The customer service was second to none from entry to departure. My group was even greeted by Mr. Lynch, the General Manager, while we enjoyed the fabulous cuisine. Each stage of my three course meal left me wanting more, and the dessert was the icing on the cake. My ear drums were stimulated with live music while I dine. It was a memorable night! Bongos is the place for affordable prices, excellent service, great ambience and quality cuisine.

Let me start by saying the food, Bongos restaurant never fails to impress me. I never go to Negril without having dinner there. We just got back and we LOVED this place! Smaller, more intimate boutique hotel with all the privacy and service you could want. Fair prices on the food and drinks. Its in a fantastic location with more excellent food options in very close walking distance. When we go back to Jamaica we will definitely be staying here again. Also, anything you need, anything you want, just ask Pops. He will take care of you.

I don't normally write reviews, but we had the best time at this resort. We booked it on a Groupon deal and it far exceeded our expectations when we went in March of 2013. Our room was clean, spacious and modern with a wrap around porch large enough to do yoga on. The soaking tub was a delight and the onsite restaurant was fantastic. Breakfast was included if you were up early enough to partake. We were mistaken on the end time so were a tad late, but we were still served. The outdoor restaurant next door had the best lobster we've ever had, so we actually ordered another round. We are actually looking into taking our honeymoon at this same resort in January 2015. I highly recommend.
