This Hostel in the center of Ocho Rios is unexpected very quiet and comfortable. Not as much hostels wich are small and mostly dirty. But not Reggae Hostel! This place had big, comfy and really clean rooms! We will definitely have to come back here again. One love ❤️

I have stayed here twice. I am a local student and this hostel fits my budget. The staff is great. Very accomodating and helpful. I have to big up "SATA" he is always positive and makes the stay even better. only thing I wish was for some in house breakfast that would be prepared on request but besides that its all good. great location as you have access to many things such as banks restaurants beaches etc. I will surely be back.

Dorm not very clean, only 1 fan for huge room, air conditioning not sufficient and only on from 9pm onwards, toilet seat broken, very noisy since next to night club, lots of mosquitoes in room.

Our worst ever hostel experience! Charged 24 USD per night per bed while the bed sheets had to be made by ourselves, with disgustingly dirty bathroom (water doesn’t go down when taking showers), extremely noisy room during day and night (neighbor to a night club). Air conditioning only works from 9pm to 9am, during the day prepare to be roasted in the room where only 1 stand-alone fan for 8-bed dorm. Reggae Hostels Ocho Rios, you are truly the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed! You certainly deserve the worst review from us across social media. There are way better places to stay in Jamaica and Ocho Rios is overall not worth going.

This was second time here and the worst. They no longer serve breakfast nor give a complimentary drink. I paid for a king size bed however I received adjourned twin beds; separate mattresses. This was very uncomfortable for me and my partner. Our room had a leaking bath. The bathroom was constantly flooding. The bath needs to be properly scubbed as u can c dirt and grim stains. There was obviously a bath math in the bath because d dirt marks are still there seems as though they didn't bother to lift it uo while it was there, just washed around it. It was just awful.

This is a good budget hostel as the name suggests. It's a clean, safe, cheap place to stay especially if traveling in a group. Receptionist was friendly and professional. Rooms are quiet but may not offer a great deal of privacy. I wouldn't confuse this with a hotel. If you need a no frills place to stay overnight this us for you.

Great place. We were able to store our bags after check out free of charge while we visited the Dunn River Falls.

Clean, safe and in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wi-Fi didn't work in the room but it worked in the rooftop terrace, a quiet and relaxing place.
They go to clean the rooms every day.
They don't do breakfast but there is a well stocked supermarket within 5mins walk. The beach in front of the hostel costs $400 Jamaicans to enter, it is small and not of the best views here in Jamaica. But overall we had a good stay.

Beautiful, young and clean hostel in ocho rios. We spent two nights in a mixed dorm for about 80$ but worth it. Wifi accessible. Rooftop with bar, benches and chairs to stay together at night. Staff super nice and available. A minute walking to the beach. 10 min taxi from dunn’s river falls. I’d very recommend this place.

Best Hostel around but if you want quiet at night, don't take a room under the rooftop bar…

I really enjoyed my stay at reggae hostel, good vibes, 2 min walk to the beach, very clean. They have a bar at the rooftop, it’s a good spot to chill and have fun. Great staff! Make sure you hang out with Sata, he is a positive caring helping funny person and Shanaye is very welcoming, they really care about us and their positivity is precious! Thank you for everything guys! Can't wait to come back soon! Love and Light.

Top two things about this place is the location (location! ) right on main street your not missing anything in the town and travelling from another parish is easy as the both taxis-es and buses terminate in the town and the hotel is less than 10 mins away. (i traveled from Kingston to ocho Rios at 10 p. M. ) The room is beautiful (spacious and bright) and the property overall is small and simple. The only downside is that check out is at 11 a. M. Instead of 12 o'clock and the breakfast is minuscule (which ties back to the hotel being right in town so its easy to leave to get a real meal. ) the staff there was very helpful (SATA big up yourself! ). Will return.

The hostel is in a great location. The front desk staff was great especially sata princess and shanta. They have security at night. They have breakfast in the morning the hot item is oatmeal / porridge which I found out is oatmeal I pass. The have toast, banana, calluta jamaica spinach tea and coffee. U must bring ya own food. I suggest bringing everything in ya luggage. Jamaica food is expensive in supermarket, kfc is across the street, bring combo lock for locker take pic with phone just in case u forget it. Bring towels r they will rent them. If u like fancy tissue bring it they supply tissue just not fancy. The dorms are cool and very safe I went alone and had no problem. Use common sense keep valuables in locker dont travel alone at night. Taxi cost 100 jamaican dollars. The hostel only has change for us dollars for jamaican dollars. They sell soda and beer at hostel. I met the owner which was cool a real person. I left extra items when I left. I started with 2 suitcase left with 1 empty.

This place is awesome for the cost. The location is great and the staffs are welcoming and seems to love what they do, especially the front desk staff, Shanaye, Sata, and Princess and of course Eadie at the bar who interacts well with the guests and keeps us entertained. I highly recommend reggae hostel and I definitely will be visiting soon.

When you walk through the door, you'll see a sign saying that Reggae Hotel was awarded the best hostel in Jamaica from Trip Advisor — — with very good reason. The hostel is clean, fun, and very safe. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, and every morning Beverly cooks up a phenomenal breakfast that's free! If you're in Ocho Rios, you don't want to miss out on this hostel!

Simple, but ideal. Everything you need is a minute away, beaches, malls, movie theatre, restaurants etc.

Great place to stay every thing around you, l have visited for the past four years.

I would highly recommend this venue, great, clean rooms, friendly staff, a decent free breakfast and it is central to everything. I had the best time there.

The service is excellent there and the breakfast is the best in the mornings… big up winsome she's so warm and friendly love.

My stay at the reggae hostel was amazing. The staff was excellent, Sata was great with giving us directions on how to get around town. Later he took a group of us out to a night club, I had a great time and a memory I will never forget. The rooms were great, clean and comfortable. The only hotel I will stay at in ocho Rios.

We stayed 5 days at the Reagge hostel. The staff was super nice and the breakfast was also okay. There is a beach in the immediate vicinity. The Wi-Fi did not work in our room. It only worked a little in the hallway. We were completely satisfied and would return.

One of the major pluses to this place is its location — we could pretty much walk to any shop or beach in the vicinity. I have to give a thumbs up also to the condition of the room and the bathroom — we are pretty big on cleanliness and we really appreciated the room and the bathroom being clean. In addition, the room was as advertised when we made our booking, that again we appreciated. We also think the price we paid was good for the room (even though we did get a discount). A few downsides however. It took us almost an hour to be checked in without an explanation as to why — this kinda put a dent in our stay because we wanted to maximize the time spent seeing we were only staying for one night — and we arrived there a few hours before our check-in time so no haste was put in getting our room ready. Also, the Wi-Fi didn't really work out for us as we couldn't get a signal in our room — it should have been available anywhere on the premises. Despite all this, the staff did try to make us feel welcome by having a warm spirit and ensuring our stay was good after checking in.

It really has a good centric location. They offer a good breakfast with coffee, cream, milk, oats, fruit, bread, biscuits, cereals and up to 2 eggs per person. The room for two was comfortable and clean. They provide soap and towels. The kitchen was fine. They organize groups to make the rides. At night the Hostel Bar did not work, at least that night we were. It's funny to see that they have their own ganja farm.

Is the best place to stay on when you go to Ocho Rios! Staff members are amazing and you meet a lot of people. They give you breakfast for free and clean rooms all the time. You can get a lot of good moments in that place.

Very enjoyable, relaxing stay. My husband and I had a private room — nice and spacious, clean, comfortable, air conditioned, awesome staff, great beach right there, nice balcony, close to everything. Kettle, microwave and fridge in room were a solid bonus as was the cold drink on arrival! Loved it, thanks.

From the Reggae hostel in Kingston We were escorted directly to Ochi (bus to Spanish town for $100 and then a taxi for 500). Welcome was very cordial, we were well explained on the spot, we had further questions (eg regarding clothesline for bath towel) was helped us immediately. There were the best tips for (inexpensive) excursions in the area (walking distance). Our highlight was the little Dunns River Falls, a small waterfall with beach right by the sea.
We didn't ask for it, but apparently you can't wash your laundry here (even by hand), but that would be very helpful for backpackers. In the kitchen there was the basic equipment (also salt but no oil for roasting), unfortunately we were stealing food from the fridge and only two of the four hotplates worked.
The Do it yourself breakfast was the hammer (eggs and pancakes) Sometimes you had to wait a long time and there were hardly any seating possibilities in the shade.
The dormitory was spacious and the walls nicely painted. Everywhere it was nice clean. The staff were very friendly and the staff were very helpful.

The best place to stay. The friendliness of all the staff is amazing, very clean and friendly all the time. If you have any questions about transportation and places to meet they will provide you with all the information. People very nice and always smiling. I would definitely go back.

The service was awesome. We liked our room. It was bigger than we imagined and the tqin beds were big enough for two. The breakfast was awesome because I was able to make my own omelette. There were bananas, cookies and good coffee. It's right beside the beach and at the heart of the city.

For 2 nights They oversold spaces in our room which was for 8 and had approx. 6 sleeping on the floor. One night they came drunk and let me and my friend sleep. They knocked on the door all night, they talked to us, they woke up through the window (they put their hand up to wake up). We had a lousy. We claimed the hostel and no one helped us, they just told them not to be so noisy. I do not recommend the shared rooms of the hostel as there is little control and also have no resolution to the problems that may occur but rather was not a problem for them, as they knew that there were people sleeping on the floor and two in the beds. They oversold spaces.

I booked here because I've always read great reviews about it. Upon arrival, the facilities are very good — staff is always friendly and smiling and can easily recommend activities for you based on what they know is happening in town. The AC worked, room was cleaned daily — they have irons available (for free) and the water wasn't hot but it wasn't icy cold either. Overall, a pretty good experience — there are any food options available within walking distance — fast food, local food, a supermarket and a few casual dining spots. Had a great time!

Very good hostel. With staff that caters very well. Excellent location in the center of 8 rivers. I would only improve the bathrooms.

Cheapest option in Ocho rios. However, it is really crowded, not cozy at all, and does nit have a kitchen.

Loved it! great staff. Especially my two favorite ladies at the front desk :) rooms are clean. Great terrace at night. With bar and music. (need new pillows though. ) while we were there. Honestly, people staying there were not the usual friendly types that I have met on my travels around the world in hostel. But we didn't care. Cause we were busy doing on our thing in ochie! :D only complaint would be that we don't have access to the beach at night. But the roof top terrace made up for it. :D did I mention that the staff was great? lol well. They were!
