Horrible service, horrible experience. It took one and a half hour for our lunch. They didn’t have most of the items on the menus. When our lunch arrived, everything was wrong. We left it on the table and left. The couple next to us had the same experience.

It was a very unpleasant. We had to change rooms like 3 times before getting a proper room and still ended up in one that was horrible.
The highlight of the visit was this wonderful waitress and some other staff they had. The receptionists were quite rude too but the waitress (Mary I think) was a pleasant face in the midst of agony.

The view was breathtakingly beautiful.

Lovely spot, right by the water, calm atmosphere. Food is disappointing, needs a total revamp, but the drinks are good, always enjoy them. Rooms are adequate, nothing special. A regular escape spot of mine, just wish they could improve.

Solid 3-3.5 stars, it has a great view of the Kingston harbour, you also are granted with the sounds and sight of beautiful planes coming into the Norman Manley international airport, the hotel itself could have a little more work done to it but overall it's okay.

I really love this place so much. Very convenient, staff amazing, superb Crystal from food and beverage. A few points to exceed expectations is 1) put curtains in bathroom-my room bathroom was completely clear, anyone could stand outside and watch me — not good at all. 2) do something with the mosquito, they had a feast on me for the night … Other than that your amazing.

Nice clean hotel. Some rooms are not as modern as pics, so ask for newer rooms. Stellar night time views of the city. Very quiet and serene.

Poor service from start, when we get there the bag person was at the front, as soon as we stepped out he went. The receptionist at the front desk was nowhere near friendly and went more to talk to a staff and ignored us. The room was nothing like the pictures they have, coffee maker with no sugar or milk, a toilet that I had to do some plumbing on and that bath was nothing you want to relax in. They gave us 2 bottles of shampoos lol and no soap. There was no Wi-Fi in our room at all. For dinner the prices at the restuarant were extortionate. At breakfast it was nothing like we expected, fried dumplings were so hard you could use it to stone dogs, their so called "orange juice" was squash (beverage concentrate). We booked 2 days and we only spent 1. Definitely not recommended.

What I would like to see happen here is, for some decent cleaning supplies be used when cleaning the bathroom. Mold and mildew was everywhere in the cracks. Rm. 404 smh. Property is pretty HOWEVER it is NOT being well maintained to deserve the title in which it boasts "Grand" Port Royal. PLEASE management look into putting some funds into the property. It would be ashamed for it to go to waste.

This hotel has everything to learn about customer service; A more than 200 US $ A night is expected to be much better. The rooms have a slightly greasy tile (do not walk barefoot) and it is better that the client of the upper floor does not have heels (which was unfortunately my case! ). Cleanliness is limited but it passes. I stayed there 3 nights, the second day after room service pass I went from 4 bath towels to 1, and on the last day no room service. No handkerchiefs, a bottle of drinking water only on the first day, no free power outlet (I had to unplug the TV to recharge my laptop). One switch for bedside lamps and it is placed. Near the front door!.
All of this would be of course acceptable if we did not pay such a price!
Do not rely on the receptionist, not smiling, to get tourist information or practical, it obviously inflates her that she is asked questions.
The restaurant: The second night more fish, more shrimp! Too bad at the seaside and it's also a good half of the map, I had to fall back on a hamburger…
Finally the breakfast is served from 7:30, (with 30 mins late on Sundays or I have stayed…) So do not plan to start your days too early, especially if you need to go to Kingston city centre…
Otherwise the location is nice, no nuisance (noise) linked to the airport.

Great atmosphere, food is good. Pasta is GREAT.

Actually enjohed the scenery and the staff waa very pleasant.

JUTC bus # 98. This takes you to the NMIA (Norman Manley International Airport) and then to Port Royal.

Stayed there twice for layovers between Trinidad and New York. It is definitely the closest hotel to NM. Krishna, my driver is irreplaceable. Great service. The breakfast was tasty but limited to what they serve you. To best describe it I’d say they served us like it was the ‘Kiddie Meal’ lol. The Wi-Fi disappears throughout the day. Not good in this day and age. The pool was closed down at 3PM. Whattttt? Who does that? There was NO hot water my first stay but the second time there was. The Pina Colada needs WORK! To me when you visit a Caribbean island the specialty should be the frozen drinks like Bahama Mamas and Pina Coladas, they should be top notch.

Staff & Service: Excellent — Professional, courteous, very pleasant.
Appearance: Excellent — Antique, historical luxury, clean, white walls, mahogany brown accents, exposed red brick exterior walls.
The view of Kingston Harbour is gorgeous, day or night! Seclusion adds to the charm of the place.
Breakfast was great. Dinner was not. All they had was deluxe cheeseburgers. I was hoping for the Coconut Garlic Lobster — finished!
The drinks menu should be rated “R” — funny though. Most things were great except —
Faults: TV — No TV signal from Service Provider, FLOW, but yet Internet signal OK. Netflix, YouTube etc. Worked.
Wi-Fi — Slow or dead.
Bathroom — Tub faucet handle fell off. From the look of the many chips in the enamel tub, this has happened many times in the past. The tub handle looks beautiful but it doesn’t work well and has damaged the tub. I suspect this situation is the same in other rooms.
Shower — I had to run the shower for about 5 minutes before I got warm water. Apparently, the water heater is far away from my room. Wasteful. Overall I had a good stay. The owners should improve the property and develop Port Royal as a “Pirate Party Place! ”

Worst hotel ever. They had a party with extremely loud music until 2 am. No one ever tell you about this. Food is disgusting and expensive. Staff is rude and incompetent. Awful experience.

Never heard of this hotel. It is very nice. Breakfast good.

The sand is a hand ful outside tge door of your room, rooms are outdated and hotel staff need customer service training asap and I asked to cancel 2days before as I was 8 days without any luggage and wanted to go home was told no refund. Mosquitos are a madness the Wi-Fi service is poor signal went on a loose canoon boat party after taking the money decided to say it's a non smoking boat for 4hrs, no cards was given.

The hotel is on a picturesque property and the staff is extremely helpful. The hot breakfast is included and very tasty. Also, the bartender, Crystal, Kaidia, and other staff were friendly and happy. Stay here for quality service at an affordable rate!

My wife and I only went for a chill afternoon. We went to their sea side bar and restaurant. The grounds were clean and very scenic. The staff were very friendly. The drinks were a bit pricey but the food relatively cheap, sadly the food was not good. I had the ham and cheese which had too much Mayo (or it could be sandwich spread), the fries were off I couldn't describe exactly why they didn't taste good (I appreciate that they weren't salted). My wife had fried wings, but only the batter had light seasoning so it was quite bland. I might give them another try, the scenery and staff warrant that.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here. We live in a busy city so coming to this quiet and secluded hotel was what we really wanted. The room — basic but clean and cool. The bed — very comfortable we slept like a baby. Thank you Cadegar and Anya and also the young lady who re heated my left over fish — your service was 5 star. Thank you. We'll be back again.

Lovely scenery, great breakfast selection however, the pool is a lot smaller than the pictures depict. The staff is friendly and informative and the rooms are elegant and inviting. I would definitely go back there.

The premises are clean and well kept and while they opted to keep the traditional 16 century brick walls, everything else has a modern look and feel. The rooms are spacious and fixed with air conditioning, cable TV and relatively fast internet. They advertise two swimming pools; a fresh water pool and a salt water pool. Whilst the fresh water pool is alright, I wouldn't suggest you try the salt water pool, sure to the fact that the water from the harbour is the same water that fills this pool and there have been sightings of jelly fish inside the pool. Food is truly amazing. The dining areas are spacious and well situated. The staff, the staff are very friendly and courteous. All in all, it was a good experience and I would recommend you to try this place out.

Rooms are nice. Property well kept. The receptionist Aneek is very professional and pleasant. She never leaves her smile. And for that I will return.

I stayed here two nights spend practically $70000 including room and was eaten by mosquitoes from I entered the lobby, they were all over my body I couldn't even check in properly had to tell the clerk to send whatever she have to my room. My room had a funny smell until they came the next day and did a good job cleaning it and the smell was gone. Food spend $22000+ and no one ate their dinner it taste like warm up food wasn't fresh at all but breakfast was OK. I think part of it have to do with the different staffs. The view is amazing and I love the cocktails and some of the staff was very polite. They need to work on whatever breathing the mosquitoes thou and I think its the water that settled right in front of the ocean. Would I go back here maybe after they do some upgrades and get rid of all those mosquito, I'm looking at my skin and they're red spots all over from mosquito bites and get good chef at nights.

Restaurant services were very very poor. Took my parents there for anniversary dinner on the 28th Dec. It took 15 minutes before anyone acknowledge our presence. Ended up asking one of the 3 bartenders to send someone. Once order was taken for the 5 tab and drinks received we had to wait almost half an hour to receive the pina colada for my mom! 1 person ordered mashed potatoes and got roasted. Burgers that were to suppose come with caramelized onion had none, little to no lettuce and a very thin slice of tomato and came out with bammy instead of fries. Server failed to mention they were out of those items until food was served. Service needs to be looked at. Expedite the orders quicker and please inform servers of items not available on menu and most of all guest service. I hope in future these problems will be improved.

Stayed here from 1 — 4th May, very bad experience booked room for 4 adults, however upon arrival I was sent upstairs (no lift and my walking stick/mobility probs) to a room with just one bed… was fuming at this point after having to struggle up two flights of stairs to what was obviously the wrong room as the one I booked had two double beds to sleep 4 adults. Went back to reception and point this out… was moved to room 203 on ground floor. Other than having two double bed the room was unimpressive; sockets didn't work, there were at least 2 roach that we killed ourself in the room (took photo) the room wasn't clean or linen changed had to complaint yet again to reception. Asked for ironing facility was given an iron, when the iron board did not materialised had to go back to reception again and asked if I was meant to iron on the bed? And breakfast I know its complimentary but if you weren't on a diet before the way they share/ration it will definitely make you feel you are on a diet. Upon reserving/booking the room it says it comes with bottle of wine and trip to lyme cays. Had to query none receipt of wine and when I asked about the trip to lyme cays was told had to pay $1, 500 each for what was suppose to be a part of the booking… the room had coffee making facility and one coffee bag was supplied, no tea or complimentary bottle of water… overall a disappointed hotel experience and start to my trip to Jamaica : (would not stay here again or recommend to family or friend.

Its like a wonderland of magic excellent staff and great food and a very spacious room. Best place to send my honeymoon.
