The Good: * Very nice view and landscape * Every house has it's own swimming pool * Friendly stuff The Bad: * For a four star hotel the rooms are too basic. You can clearly see that the have been used for some time and are worn down. * Many things did not work. Let the dish washer, the toilet flushed for hours and the air-condition emitted a very annoying noise. The Ugly: * The food was really unbearable. Staying in Tuscany usually means eating excellent food, but we got served the cheapest food they could find. It was by no means high quality but more cost effective cooking for many people. The meat was always too salty, probably to mask the low quality. The vegetables tested like nothing at best and even the pasta tasted like…

Location in the most total green very beautiful and cared for personally prepared and patient, fabulous kitchen the top and elegantly prepared.

Beautiful restaurant with small shop for food of daily life. Reduction of holiday apartments in typical Tuscan countryside. Olive oil and wine of the area.

Very nice Location The conditions and cleanliness of the apartments is not up to the price requested… Very uncomfortable beds The extras are very expensive and not well indicated… The structure certainly of level is not all very expensive…

The location is unique: it is located in the heart of Tuscany, nestled in the hills where it is grown in the famous Chianti area. Every farm is perfectly integrated in the territory, because they are the result of a meticulous recovery of the ancient country houses. The rooms are warm and welcoming, and offer all the amenities for those seeking a relaxing holiday in contact with nature. The staff is very courteous and helpful, and will advise you on the many activities that can be done without ever taking the car! We tried the spa and the walk to the tractor (in addition to go for a run every morning…), both are unforgettable, but with more time we would have tried the horseback riding and the mountain bike tour. I forgot: excellent food, great prices, and the company always pleasant (bridge 2 June). But if you prefer, you can eat under the gazebo, with breathtaking view…

Staff was so kind he bring us 4 or 5 free shots of a local drink. Every Wednesday they have a free music performance, so we were so lucky to been there. Meal was delicious. What a great night!

Wonderful location, friendly staff, great reception and restaurant area, nice range of activities and reasonably priced. Only disappointment was our particular villa in Cassina. Very basic, tired, a bit grubby and poorly equipped with no communal area meaning 6 people congregating around a tight and cramped kitchen. Might have just been this particular villa so worth checking review of your specific villa. A better villa and we would definitely be back.

We have just returned from our holiday in Tuscany where we stayed at Castellare di Tonda for 2 weeks. We had ordered before Christmas 2015 in order to obtain a 20% discount, and the price was 1332.80 EUR/week compared with the normal price of 1666.0 EUR/week. Our expectations were therefore great, as this was more than what we had payed earlier at a location close to Lucca. What met us was a small appartment and we quickly realised that it was worn down with significant flaws. The toilet did not flush properly, a lightbulb was missing outside, none of the inside doors could close properly and in one of the rooms, the bedside lamp could not be used as the cord could not reach the socket. Upon remarking this at the reception and asking for an extension cord, we were told that they would take care of it — it had not been dealt with when we left. The promised "garden furniture" consisted of built-together table and benches where the table was so uneven that you had to be very careful where you put a cup or a glass to keep it from tilting. Furthermore, we discovered that not all units on the gas cooker worked, a chair was broken, the water pressure was very low, and the pool (7*15 metres) was to be shared by a total of 16 families. Finally, all facilities had to be paid for independently. The area is situated very far from everything so you need to drive approximately / at least one hour to visit a given sight / attraction.
