Agriturismo il Canneto Hotel

We've just returned from a beautiful one week stay at Il Canneto. We enjoyed our stay in the Il Sole apartment. Simply but tastefully decorated with high ceilings and oak beams. The apartment remains nice and cool during the hot daytime tempertures with it's tiled floors.
Comfortable beds and all the things you need for a perfect stay. Having said that, the kettle was missing from our apartment. But we just made do with a saucepan. Sandra (the owner) can speak a little English and she is very helpful. The property could do with a welcome brochure just to answer the usual questions when starting a holiday in a new place.
The swimming pool is big and has a shallow end. The view from the property is wonderful. Lovely views of the hilltop town of Casole d'Elsa.
Please try the resturant down the road, near the larger Agriturismo Fonte property. It's only a 10 min walk away. Fantastic food.
We'll be back.

We had a enjoyable long weekend at Il Canneto (apparently there are two properties though we only saw this one). We stayed in a lovely two bedroom apartment. There was a lot of room and good quality linens and cleanliness. Kids could roam. A pingpong table added. It was a cold June but we made it in the pool a few times. Restaurant recommendations were good. Only two small critiques: I like pristine pools and we had to clean the pool for quite a while every morning (presumably this changes in the summer) ; because of the location it would be helpful to have a map in the room with directions (there are a few lowscale industries nearby). For a true agriturismo, I do like to see some animals — though we saw peasants on the road to Il Canneto. The price was affordable, and I knew that when booking. It was fun to explore the area, and see some things we would not normally have seen (an amazing medieval festival in Colle d'elsa, during June).

We went to Tuscany last April and enjoyed our stay in Il Canneto very much. The owners actually have two properties: Il Canneto and La Peschiera. Both farms have been converted into holiday apartments and each property has a rather large communal pool. Both properties are set in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, but they are easily accessible, as they are situated about two kilometers off the road to Casole d’Elsa.
The farms have been refurbished into tasteful, modern holiday apartments. The accommodations are very clean and up to date. Moreover, the apartments have been nicely decorated, making you feel right at home. The authenticity of the farms have been preserved. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and also the bathroom is up to standard. Our bedroom was rather spacious. Every apartment has a private outside space, too.
The owners live in a house nearby and they were very welcoming upon arrival. They also respected our privacy during our holiday. We bought some of their olive oil and I asked for some pointers on how to make great pasta. Delicious!
You have a very nice view of the picturesque village of Casole d’Elsa nearby, situated on a hill. The village is easily accessible, you can buy groceries and there is a pizzeria, restaurant, bar, gelateria, pharmacy, … There are larger supermarkets in Colle Di Val d’Elsa.
Both properties are perfectly located for excursions to places such as Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Volterra.
