There was no one there to check me in. Gave them a call and was told to go away as no one spoke English. Messaged them several times and had no reply. Had to book somewhere else last minute. Been trying to get in touch with them since then and just being ignored. Extremely unprofessional and would never book again.
My second stay here.
Proprietor — a jocular gentleman — very friendly.
Large comfortable room.
Excellent location: just off the pedetrian Borgo Stretto (lots of shops & cafés) running through the centre of Pisa.
Good value for money.
Would definitely stay here if I visit Pisa again.

Right in the middle of the lively student and historical centre of Pisa, this is a very convenient and slightly different place to stay. The building is 500 years old and in a small side street. Mostly plus points — my room was very clean and well equipped and the welcome and care from our host was excellent. (Really appreciated being able to leave our bags both before check-in and after check-out).
Given the age of the building, there is obviously no lift (and you will need to go up several flights of stairs). The en suites have been squeezed in (worked well in one room but not in the other) and might need a bit of updating! No breakfast is provided but there are many cafes nearby.
This is a very good location and a chance to experience a very old house in Pisa. Maybe better for one or two nights than a longer stay but also good value for money.
