Perfect first night in Italy. Located on the top floor of a building near the train station, it has the feal of a classic B&B. It was good to be near the train so we didn't have to drag our luggage across town & didn't need a taxi. It was also very near the start of the pedestrian only street that leads to Piazza Del Duomo. Paola, our host, was extremely helpful with advice on how to best navigate the city on foot, where to eat, and what to see. She also had no issue with us leaving our bags in the B&B after checkout so we could continue to sight-see before catching our next train the next day. The room was comfortable, the breakfast had a lot of variety & there is a view of the tower from the breakfast room terrace.

We really wish we’d had the positive experience other guests mentioned here, but sadly, that was not our case. We stayed here only for one night and, unfortunately, we went back home feeling really sad and confused.
PROS: The place is cozy and antique (if you like that vibe). Very close to the train station.
CONS: The breakfast itself only consisted of bread, yogurt, and coffee. Breakfast included some brownies and pies that, from what we saw, had been sitting for several days in the display case in the dining room. The juice tasted a bit strange, almost like it was close to its expiration date. The Wi-Fi connection was weak near the main bed in the room. The room didn’t have enough charging outlets, and the electrical installation felt old and fragile. We stayed in the upstairs room, and it was full of mosquitoes.
However, the worst part was dealing with the landlord, who was very rude and, I’d even say, aggressive. When she gives instructions, she basically scolds you (raises her voice) and rushes through them. That’s really inconvenient because the house is very old and requires guests to pay attention to a lot of details. Since English is not her first language, communication is already a challenge. She quickly loses her temper if you ask her to clarify something she explained too fast.
There was also a misunderstanding regarding the check-in time (not her fault, but not ours either).
