Olive Tree Suites

How to describe the Olive Tree Suites experience? It's hard to say whether it is about the view, the olive trees among which the old farmhouse is situated, the pool or the welcoming accommodation.
No matter where your journey originated your last few kilometers will be across the plain, with the blue-green olive shrouded Montalbano hills coming ever closer.
Passing through the town of Lamporecchio you emerge on its outermost fringe and take the discreetly signed road that, with no fuss, dives straight into the Olive groves. It wriggles its way among grape vines and olive trees, always climbing higher.
Finally, your car and you, both being somewhat breathless by now, reach what you think is the gateway to your destination. But no, this is simply the final part of the road to your portion of heaven in Tuscany. For these last few hundred metres it seems as if the road might vanish out of the top of your windscreen: so steep is this final section of the journey that all you can see is road ahead of you, no sky at all.
And then, finally you have arrived!
Your host, who lives on site, will show you the accommodation, catering for parties as large as ten. But all the time you have this compelling desire to turn round and look, to see where you've come from, but no, not just yet!
Eventually you are taken even higher, to the swimming pool and with the background music of waterfall and cicadas you can finally pause and look.

This is a beautiful villa in a stunning location. The accommodation is very comfortable and the host is very helpful indeed.
Our party of 8 spent most of its time on the covered patio area adjacent the pool which is where we ate our meals. Every now and again one or other of us would just stand and drink in the view. It really does take your breath away.

Wonderful place to stay. Calm and wonderful landscape. Reading next to the swimming pool in the shadow of olive tree is the icing on the cake. Highly recommend.
