A friend and I stayed in Hotel Alessandra for a few days — B&B. We were very impressed by the helpful and efficient approach of the staff in responding to your questions and requests. This pertains to all staff but in particular to Christiano who went out of his way on more than one occasion to facilitate us. This hotel is gives excellent service; breakfasts very tasty with homemade goodies every morning. We highly recommend it. In addition, it is centrally located, close to all the highlights Florence has to offer. sincere thanks. Mary and Rita.

Really a great experience that of the stay in Florence in this central structure. Don't be fooled by the stars. Owners and staff helpful and kind, comfortable and nicely decorated the room, cleanliness and good breakfast. What more do you want? Sometimes it's even better than expectations!

Right in the heart of Florence's old town this hotel is close to everything.

My family and I have stayed here numerous times and the whole family agrees that this hotel deserves a five star rating. The location of the hotel is wonderful, the staff do above and beyond to make sure that you have a great stay, whatever it takes. Recommendations, reservations, etc. The free breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The complete hotel is spotless, and I am tough to please. If you want a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Florence that offers you a wonderful experience you can not go wrong booking this hotel. Chris Cali.

The hotel staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. I felt like I was their house guest, rather than just a hotel guest. The hotel itself was very cute with lots of charm. I don't usually write reviews, but I absolutely loved my stay here and would highly recommend it.

Very central location one block away from ponte vecchio and 2 blocks from the uffizi. Antique furnishings. Bathroom with bathtub. Nice view of river. Good Wi-Fi. No coffee maker. Bathroom door very low watch head.

Wonderful small hotel with great staff. Very comfortable if you want to get away from chain hotels. Just careful finding it can be a challenge! But worth it.

Hotel Alessandra has all the charm of an old fashioned hotel with excellent service! I ended up catching the flu during my time in Florence and was unable to leave my room for a couple of days, but the concierge helped order and receive takeaway food on my behalf (and even brought it directly to my room) ; they honestly went above and beyond. The breakfast buffet is also wonderful — — definitely try the apple cake with your cappuccino! :)

Rooms are small and cozy and priced as such. Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of all the sites. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of hot water. Very quiet.

A place of 10 and praise for the reception, the sympathy, the availability of the owners. We felt right at home.
It is a very nice and comfortable room. A short walk to the center, very close to a wonderful little church.
Only flaw (but independent of the hotel managers) : A plan of climbs to be done obligatory on foot, condemned for disabled patients.

The hotel is very conveniently situated in the heart of Florence. The service is very friendly the concierges were all quite chatty. It's very efficient and well run. I stayed there with friends and we had adjoining rooms which was lovely. The breakfast was simple but very good with nice service. It was an outstanding hotel on my Italian trip.

Excellent hotel. Close to the spots you'd want to visit, yet located on a quieter street. The staff were very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy.

Nice staff, perfect location, internet in the room, clean and well maintained. Too many stairs could be unsuitble for elderly or disabled.

Very bad expensive and is type pension and very bad care for what they charge.

The room was charming and very clean. Each member of the staff, not just Andrea and his mother, went out of his or her way to make our stay enjoyable. Andrea helped us book tours, and the staff was exceedingly accommodating in every way. It was a pleasure to stay there.

What a find. Only meters from Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecvhio, this charming gem is hard to beat. Free internet, quiet library with relevant books, good breakfast and clean rooms (some with a view of the Arno River). On a narrow cobbled lane, thru a poorly marked door, up a few steep stairs (elevator part way up) and you are in the Gennarini family's quaint and lovely place. Mama and son Andrea are so helpful and kind, and desk clerk Monti makes you feel as welcome as a long-lost friend. Hard to beat this place. Love it.

The staffs are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, speaking excellent English. The restaurant recommendations they made were great. The room is clean and big with VERY high ceiling (we have a suite). Location is outstanding. Next to the Uffizi Gallery and less than a hundred yards from the river. Doors open to a quite street. Breakfast is marvelous! The only complain I have, the bell tower next door begins to ring at 9:00 am. If you want to sleep in (O don’t see why you would), bring ear plugs.
