Wonderful hosts.
Alessio at the front desk was so helpful day or night. He even had a car fob battery when we could not start our car due to a dead fob battery the night before our drive back to the airport.
What a star.
Infact everyone was nice. The ladies who served breakfast were so polite and welcoming.
The only downside was the unavailability of a swimming pool.

Delicious dinner! The hamburger with cheese (not sandwich, but steak) was extremely good and different food in positively way. The waiter was so helpful, nice and also get tips. So lovely experiment in restaurant! We will go back — I highly recommend ☺️

We started our tour of Tuscany with a night in this lovely hotel in a typical Tuscan village of Chianni. Value for money the stay was superb. We were given a room on the first floor (second american) with a delightful view of a small village square and the distant countryside. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed and we enjoyed a good sleep.
The restaurant had a rustic charm and all the food that we had at dinner was absolutely delicious. The same can be said for breakfast. We again returned to the restaurant a week later.
All of the staff encountered were helpful and charming. Other reviews mention their lack of language skills. Communication was fun and very easy.
Parking… they don't make it clear that they have their own parking lot not far from the hotel but the town municipal car park is free anyway albeit a fairly steep climb up to the hotel.
I would highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

We would never have found this town except for hiring a local tour coordinator for tasting wine in the area. Alessio on the front desk was very nice and so was William. The hotel is in what appears to be an old villa with 1.5 foot walls. The town of Chianni has become one of my favorites, quaint and deep in local culture as a medieval jewel. The hotel has the basic amenities with a shower handheld but no shower curtain so it was a challenge if you don't like taking baths. Still, the room was classic Tuscan and nothing like an American hotel so we appreciated the local atmosphere. The attached restaurant was fabulous with sliced truffles on pasta and wonderful chocolate lava cake. We ate there every night. Giving it 5 stars not because it measures up to a Four Seasons, but because of its authenticity, attentive staff and idyllic location.

Alessio and the team at Vecchie are always welcoming and the food is home made Italian pastas and meats, the wine list is plentiful and the service is always very good, highly recommended. My favourite dish is the Antipasti Vecchie Cantine and the suckling pig with roast potatoes, perfect!

I would like to point out this almost enchanted place, in the center of Chianni. It stands out for excellent cuisine, friendliness and hospitality, in the kitchen Mrs. Rita is a guarantee. Cleanliness of the premises, beautiful rooms in rustic Tuscan style, small but very intimate spa and exclusive restaurant with great food. You can't ask for anything better. Thank you.

We passed by chianni, we had lunch at "the old cellars" pleasant surprise, excellent dishes with top quality food, courteous service, attentive and professional. Surely we will return to try other specialties.

A long weekend where we found welcome, kindness, courtesy in the tree. Great food and good wine at the restaurant!
