Hotel Punta Tipa

We don't typically leave reviews, but this experience felt worth documenting. Hotel Punta Tipa has genuine strengths, the sea views are beautiful and the facilities are decent for a 4-star property. Unfortunately, the staff consistently let the experience down and left us feeling more like an inconvenience than guests.
A few specific issues stood out: we were given three different checkout times during our stay, with no clarity or consistency from staff. There was no option to decline daily room cleaning, and the bar service was frustratingly slow, staff were often nowhere to be seen.
On our checkout day, with a 5pm flight, we were told we had to vacate by 10:30am and were denied pool access after that point. We understand late checkout isn't guaranteed, but being refused basic use of the pool during our remaining time was an unwelcome first.
We'd also flag that the deck featured prominently in the hotel's photos is partially incomplete, a section is exposed construction, which doesn't match the marketed imagery.
Overall, a hotel with real potential that's undermined by a staff attitude that made us feel unwelcome throughout. We hope management addresses this, as the location and property itself deserve better.

This hôtel is noted as à 4 star hôtel but merits ony 2. Thé only positive aspects were (1) friendly receptionists at thé front desk and (2) Thé sea view with à large terrace. Breakfast was acceptable for thé price of 11€ per person. Though considering thé price of thé room, breakfast should have been included. Thé coffee machine in Europe's coffee capital Italy, was not upto Italian standard. Coffee quality was poor. Thé large terrace of our room was completely empty, No outdoor furniture at all. Not even à chair or à small table. The terrace also gave on to the main road on one side. Thé room was small for à 4 star hôtel. Thé shower was à disaster. Only à shower head with à glass partition too small. Thé déck area in front of thé restaurant was dévoid of all furniture too The restaurant was closed for all meals except breakfast. This may have been thé low season (November) but thé room ratés were certainly not low. Water bottles in thé room were not complimentary. 2€ per small bottle. Shame on the management for not being à little more generous with guests. Thé hôtel is à 25 minute walk to thé historical centre.

Punta Tipa is a wonderful hotel with the most amazing sea view. Reception is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a classic room which was more than adequate, nice and spacious, big bathroom as well. Lovely breakfast included. The restaurant also serves delicious food and the view is breathtaking. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel when you are visiting trapani.

Nice deck overlooking the ocean and pool. Modern hotel. 30 min walk to town and 30 minute walk to the gondola. Nice walking and biking path just outside the hotel along the main road and ocean. Hotel is beside the busy main road, in the middle of nowhere. Room was small. Good breakfast. Pretty average dinner the seared tuna at €18 was overcooked and not very flavourful. Restaurant staff efficient but not overly friendly.

Stayed there for 1 night, the hotel is very clean and modern the seaview rooms are a must, easy parking in front of the hotel, breakfast is more than decent compared to other hotels I've been in Italy, and the girl in the reception she is just adorable, very helpful, good English speaking and very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved loved loved this hotel. Close to everything (couple minutes drive) plenty of parking. Nice beach, beautiful pool and lounge area. Room was small but clean and nice. Staff always available. Breakfast, lunch, bar and dinner available.

Small, modern hotel right on the beach at Trapani. 800m from main Centre, which is packed with good quality restaurants. Easy walking into the town by the sea. We asked for a quiet room with a balcony and received one on the 5th floor. Modern, light and very clean. Good size bathroom with all toiletries etc. Huge balcony with fantastic views across the bay. Small beach to the side of the hotel. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with alot of choice. We had 2 dinners in the hotel which were lovely and on par price wise with some of the restaurants in town. This is a great area to visit with the cable car up to Erice. We hope to come back.

This hotel is located in the middle of two beaches with nothing around it. 15 min car ride to get to old town Trapani. There are 5 people working in the whole hotel, barely any English is spoke. We had two Rooms on the first floor and both rooms had ant infestation. No manager to speak to after two days of inquiring, they brought any traps to the room and fumigated the room with  chemicals while we were inside. No one offered us a new room, an upgrade or compensation. I spoke to the receptionist and she spoke to the manager and he offered me a cocktail which I declined, rooms are tiny and you can hear conversation from outside. (no privacy)
I have never encountered such poor customer service in a hotel. No security at the hotel random people walking in and around the beach hotel. I did not feel safe.
We got pool towels 1 day out of 3 and the other days they said they are not available.
Never been through such chaos and poor management in my life. From the outside it looks nice but beware!

Beautiful hotel about 1.5km outside of the old town. The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff are really nice and attentive and the whole family enjoyed playing around the pool. There is also a nice sundeck over looking the ocean which provides the perfect setting to watch the sun set. Thank you all.

Very nice people, the hosting was great.
I can say as a 4 star hotel, that coule be much more better and the service should be more complète. But I compare with the whole town hotels and giving them 5 star.

Lovely hotel clean I paid for a balcony over sea on second floor it was great with sun loungers.
Room only for one person really as tight getting round end of bed. 210 I think.
Good food Breakfast and evening meal.
Staff. Reception staff and waitresses very good. Always smiling especially the waitresses. A lift to rooms did not use pool great area outside dining room to watch the sun go down on the beach front. Lots of chairs tables for you to eat outside if not windy. Expensive drinks.
Only one complaint. THE barman waiter was awful no smile. Could not be bothered to tell me about the wine list got our order wrong as he just did not care.
It did have an affect on my holiday as you don’t want this sort of behaviour when you are away.
If he does not like people then don’t do the job this was not personal to me everyone in our group felt the same.
For me too far away from Trapani 30 mins walk to get there. I have had surgery so might be fine for others.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room we received was a corner room with a breathtaking view directly of the sea, as well as a beautiful view of the mountain where the town of Erice is located. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was served buffet-style. One of the highlights was the ability to make fresh orange juice using the available juicer. The room was air-conditioned, which added to our comfort. Additionally, there was a large public parking lot near the hotel, and we always found a spot to park. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

A very nice hotel with fantastic sea view! It is a perfect hotel for a short stay like 3 days!
The only thing was the breakfast which was not good quality! I recommend going to a bakery rather than eating breakfast at hotel!

This is a very clean modern hotel with all facilities right on the seashore. The terrace is literally right on the beach. The room was spacious and clean with air con and the bed comfortable.
The staff were welcoming and friendly particularly at reception and dining. Breakfast had an excellent choice of food on offer including freshly pressed orange juice although there were queues for coffee.
Upto 8.30pm there was a free shuttle into town. It is on the edge of the town but on the other hand close to the beach.
Street parking is very close by.
