We had the good surprise of being upgraded to a superior family room, located one street behind the original rental. The room was very large, spacious and clean. On the other hand, breakfast is taken in a coffee shop next door; A drink and a bakery. A little succinct for a B and B.
Attention, if you come by car, the parking is complicated in the streets of Trapani. One side of the street is cleaned in the morning one day a week. Impoundment Guaranteed! So well read the panels.

Posto Stupendo! … Simply amazing We spent 5 days in Il Sole Blu and it was just perfect from all angles. Place is amazing, room very clean bathroom totally massive. Place is very close to sea less than 2 minutes walk, near to high street with plenty of shops and traditional small sicilian coffee shops but still not noisy during a night :) also close to old town around 10 minutes of walk. Breakfast are served in small bar just 1 minute from hotel, serving coffe and pastry of your choice, Pastry was absolutely amazing! Host Ezio and his wife Stefania were very hospital and super friendly, offering coffee as little extra what just add a little personal touch :) Simply great place to stay, we have nothing else to say just that we spent absolutely fantastic time in Trapani with great hospitality of our host, we highly recommend this place if you visiting Trapani.

Convenient location just outside the old town of Trapani. Rooms very spacious, en condition does not own. On the third floor the water pressure is so low as to make complicated take a shower.

Bad housing. Nobody came to the reception, you need to call. For three nights in three people, we had a roll of toilet paper. No cleaning talking linens. Under the bed found a sock filled with dust. The bathroom without bidet, shower broken without possibility of closing it, yellowed and clogged. A glass toothbrush holder with mold. Breakfast in the bar below. To avoid. No.

We went to Trapani just for the weekend taking advantage of a Ryanair offer. We rang Ezio from the airport on arrival, as requested when making the booking. When we arrived at the B&B location a woman let us in, without saying a word, handed us a key and then a mobile phone. I spoke to the manager and said we had booked an ensuite room and been given the keys to a room without a bathroom instead. I handed the phone back to the woman, who a few minutes later handed me a different key, to the room next to the original one offered. The room was not yet made up so she carried on with what she was doing while we waited in the corridor. I should have said that as we entered the building we were greeted with a revolting smell of raw sewage, which carried on up the stairs. Ezio (the owner) turned up about half an hour later. He handed us two vouchers for breakfast and said it would be in a cafe up the road. Then he took our money (had to be in cash) and disappeared. We got into the room, which although spacious, looked really tired, not quite what we had seen in the photos (remember it had supposedly just been made up) and opened the window, to be greeted with the same nasty smell as when we entered the building. By this point there was no one there to complain to. The fridge in the room was switched off, the TV did not work properly and the general room looked tired and in need of TLC.

We were looking forward to our weekend away in Trapani. Arriving at Il Sole Blu it didn't start well as we were greeted by a horrible smell in the stairwell of raw sewage. Our room was not ready and the trimmings were sadly in a poor state of presentation. The smell from outside, although distant, still persisted in the establishment and before we could speak to the owner for our money back, which he insisted must be paid in cash in advance, he had already left the premises. Equipped with a can if air spray from a local supermarket we tried to make do but awoke during the night to the sound, and biting of mosquitoes. However many we killed (over 60) we couldn't get rid of the them and have subsequently counted over 90 bites on the two of us. While it was possible to overlook for a short stay the poor quality of the furnishings and trimmings after our experience with the mosquitoes there was absolutely no way we could stay another minute in Il Blue Sol. Its it unclean, basic, and we felt dirty and violated. The smell has been mentioned elsewhere in the reviews and is cannot be unknown to the owner, nor the mosquito problem judging by the marks on the walls. That Il Sole Blue continues to trade without having corrected these faults is terrible and possibly expains the motives of the owner demanding full cash payment in advance. My advice to anyone considering this B&B is to look elsewhere.

A horrible experience and one that has put us off staying in any b&b ever again. The smell that greeted us when we first opened the door to the apartment building was unpleasant and should have warned us as to what to expect from this establishment. The room offered wasn't ensuite. The only ensuite wasn't yet made up even though we had confirmed our arrival time and phoned ahead from the airport. The owner was only interested in collecting the cash and was late turning up. After touring the city we had a siesta and awoke to find the room populated by many mosquitoes (have killed over 30 so far) which left blood marks on the walls and sheets every time we managed to kill one. Following closer examination we realised we aren't the first to suffer from blood sucking insects as several red stained squashed remains can be found behind furniture and high up. The room is like the photos only a tired and dirty version. I could not recommend this b&b to anyone, however desperate they might be and would advise the owner and establishment are avoided like the plague. This is a shocking example of a place to stay and more suited to the Third World than an EU nation. You have been warned.
