Charming inn with beautiful, comfortable furnishings. What made this accommodation even more special was the incredible hospitality offered by Daniela and her team. We really enjoyed our meals at a communal table with other guests. Convenient to Agrigento. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Casa Balata was a great first stop for our group of seven. The hospitality was wonderful, beautiful location, with stunning views of the Sicilian countryside in Realmonte. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The accommodations were fabulous, airy, romantic, and so very inviting, the pool very refreshing. Wonderful host, Daniela was full of love and dedication, greeted us like long lost relatives! She has put so much dedication and thought into all of the design, art work. Great spot for anyone seeking to connect with nature. Food was fabulous. Her staff served us wonderful breakfast consisting of sweets, hard boiled eggs, fruit galore. We had dinner there also, the food was traditional Sicilian fair, beautiful in it simplicity, and gastronomically stimulating at the same time. Daniela very accommodating of our food sensitivities. The dinner was intimate to our group of seven, it was a great way to begin our Sicilian adventure, having intimate discussions and laughs while sitting at her beautiful long Sicilian table. This is a perfect place to have family travel too or girls get away. It is remote so you either need to drive there or as we did we had van service throughout our trip to take the stress out of driving. Very responsive to emails prior to stay. While we were there we visited the town of Sciacca, Valle dei Tempie, Scala dei Turchi, Mandrarossa Winery, in Menfi.

Absolutely the loveliest place we stayed at in all of Sicily. Incredible attention to detail, clean and beautiful, and with the most welcoming host. We could not have asked for more.

This place is a real treat! We traveled to Sicily in a group of 13, and Daniela and her fantastic staff saw to all of our needs. The house is spacious and the food (both breakfast and dinner) were amazing. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to the Realmonte area.

This place is so special. Daniela’s property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are well decorated and very comfortable and clean. We had dinner there one night and the meal was the best we had while in Sicily. Daniela and Salvatore are so warm and kind. They feel like long lost family. Our only regret is not staying more than one night.

This is a beautiful, somewhat quirky, and fun place to stay. A big reason for the allure is Daniela, who rebuilt the old farmhouse into a gorgeous property in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean. It's nicely set up with a combination of antiques, private collections, and modern conveniences. Daniela and her crew will cook and look after you, or send you off to hike the hills or tour the nearby coastal towns and ruins of Agrigento.
Make sure to ask for directions before you arrive. It can be a bit tricky and the roads for the last mile are not in great repair.

We spent a few unforgettable days at this beautiful place. The old Sicilian casa is full of charm, with a stunning pool and breathtaking views. It's incredibly peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Casa Balata is an exceptional place located on the hills with a great view on the coastline. The house is beautiful and high quality. The swimming pool is amazing and the surroundings are very peaceful with olive trees fields. The bedroom was amazing and Daniella is a wonderful host. She was so nice! Dinners and breakfast were great too! We highly recommend!

Superb, a piece of heaven on earth. Beautiful location, garden and home. The meals we had here were some of the best we had in Sicily. Daniela and her team are such friendly and gracious hosts.
A very special place.

What a lovely stay! We were there for only one night, but wished we had several more to spend at Casa Balata. The property is beautiful! Daniela has really great taste. Our room was stylish, but extremely comfortable. The saltwater pool is a great way to wind down a day of temple gazing in nearby Agrigento. Daniela was so welcoming and charming. She is such an interesting person to talk to. I highly recommend the seafood dinner that you can reserve. The whole experience was one of our best meals in Sicily, from the fresh ingredients from her own garden, to the great home cooking and the delicious sepia. We took a short hike through her olive farm before we left in the morning and came away thoroughly enchanted. Thank you for an amazing stay, Daniella!

I would highly recommend Casa Balata. It was a real treat to stay in such beautiful surroundings: grounds, gardens, guest rooms and the villa itself were beyond charming…. Did I forget the pool, stunning! But beyond the beauty of the place was Daniella and her “nephew” were so kind, helpful and welcoming. It was a package deal which made our Sicily trip beyond special.
