This place is amazing! The staff was so kind and welcoming. The interior decorating was beautiful and calming. The included breakfast was amazing — incredible in house pastries, delicious fruit and hot and cold foods. The pool was beautiful. They upgraded our room and gave us a complementary bottle of wine on our departure. 5 stars for sure. Thanks Maria and Biagio and the rest of the lovely staff. Perfecto!
On paper … seems to be perfect. Calm and beautiful.
Nice people working there.
But My experience was just bad sadly.
My room was suppose to be « partiel see view ». Well. Nothing nothing … far from sea view.
Even the « upgrade « because my room was « ‘not available » was far away from 1cm of sea view.
This room looks like the entrance of the gym center with stairs going directly from the living room to the gym center.
Bathroom was not working correctly. Same as hair dryer …. Nothing dramatic yes.
Talking about wine relay. First time I can see a wine relay without a wine list or menu and without any words of wine in the entire hotel. Again nothing dramatic… maybe I didn’t ask correctly …
The pasta were expensive and dry. Just very classic for a 25 euros dish. And I’m not picky.
Even with nice people working there, the experience is sadly far away from a 350 euros hotel room and service.

We stayed at Borgo Giallonardo Wine Relais for a few nights in April 2026 and had a lovely, indulgent stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, elegant and effortlessly luxurious. Our room was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had beautiful views overlooking the vineyard.
We ate dinner at the hotel on both evenings and the choice of food each night suited both me and my husband — we both have very different tastes. Everything was fresh, relaxed and beautifully prepared. Of course, the wine was a huge highlight of the stay and we sampled the white and two of the three red wines and loved them all. Prices were very fair.
One of our favourite parts of the visit was relaxing by the pool during the afternoons. It was a too cold to swim in April, but lying in the sun with a glass of wine, vibey music playing softly in the background, and a very friendly and helpful bartender looking after us felt wonderfully decadent.
As we'd been very indulgent we used the small gym twice and really enjoyed that as well, even though it was small, it did its job and we looked at the olive trees as we pedalled the exercise bikes!
We enjoyed the breakfast and must make special mention to the delicious cakes (loved the pistacho one especially) though we weren't sure why some of the heaters on other breakfast items had been turned off quite early.
Borgo Giallonardo manages to combine understated luxury with warmth and charm, and we left feeling completely spoiled.
